No fair! Two heart wrenching stories in a row. Why, oh mighty algorithm? Why?! Agro Squirrel, your delivery of these emotional stories are phenomenal and gets me every time.
Thanks for reading my story! As always, you did a great narration! Really didn't expect it to have any appeal, just wrote for fun while playing games and being way too intoxicated. I have other small and bigger projects in the works, but life n' stuff, y'know? I hope everyone is having a wonderful day :) Also, for the algorithm! lol
Yeah I kind of feel sorry for the Xeno medic. He does understand how humans have a decent sense of what their weapons can do to each other and what can and cannot be survived
@@SkeletonKingTH-cam even *if* he did somehow survive the phosphorus poisoning, third degree burns over most of his body and god knows how many other injuries, he would have been wishing he was shot there and then, there's a reason why white phosphorus use is a war crime
@@SkeletonKingTH-cam He would live a life of pain where the slightest scratch could set him aflame again if the white phosphorus was exposed again from his skin.
Again, are you telepathic? What if he wanted to say goodbye to his family one last time? He can kill himself afterwards if wants to die that much. "Mercy killing" starts with extreme and then people are like: Oh this poor disabled person with no legs, let me kill him to end his suffering. Oh he has cancer, that may or may not be curable, better to shoot him dead than give him false hope. If you compromise on the extreme it slowly bleeds into the moderate. "Mercy killing" makes you Merciless. If someone wants to die, people save him from suicide, if he wants to survive they kill him out of mercy and pity. If he begs you to shoot him, hand him the gun and let him do it himself. For me murder is never just no matter your intention behind it.
If you don’t mind me asking, what do you mean? I don’t see why you would be treated differently from any other soldier, and if anything you deserve even more praise.
That and I don't know if combat medics are legally or technically allowed to do that. Unfortunately, sometimes the best thing to do no harm, is to give the gift of Mercy.
hard story without the cathartic release of finding the terrorists sadly the leader knew the first human had inhaled flames most likely and would die in agony and children victims always hurt thanks for the story and narration
First responders? The greatest job I cannot envy at all.
Amen!
love how your readings put to light the emotions in the words flawlessly, great as always, FOR THE AGRORYTHM !!!
For the algorithm , glad you are enjoying
For the algorithm!!!!!
Day 6, sock pairings have mostly been kept intact. Will continue taking measures to protect them against nanite swarm.

As a first responder who has been through it, thank you.
I just love the dwscription of Mother Nature as "destructive, selfish, arrogant, and sadistic."
Even if they were able to save the man who was horribly mangled, his existence would have been nothing but pain.
How do you know? Are you him? Maybe he wanted to be saved even if he had to the live the rest of his life in agony. Who are you to decide how he dies?

Another great science fiction story, well read.
Thank you, AgroSquerril.

For the Author(s), for the narrator Agro Squirrel, for the algorithm !!!
I was a combat medic for 2 decades... I never though how aliens would view me. It's hard enough seeing how my fellow man looked at me.
If you don’t mind me asking, what do you mean? I don’t see why you would be treated differently from any other soldier, and if anything you deserve even more praise.
