    Sir electrons are negatively charged so why they will go to the cathode???
    Becoz as per the laws of electrostatics two similar charges will always repel and unlike charges will always attract...
    So electrons are negative so they should move to the positive electrode (anode)
    So in this video why it is said that electrons are moving from anode to cathode???
    Sir can you pls clear my doubt ....
    Pls it is a humble request....

      @UCJ4TAZJlH4SSxfo39bAtWgg but sir
      Two similar charges repel so how electrons will move from anode to cathode??

      You must remember that electrons move from the negative terminal of the POWER SOURCE to the positive terminal of the POWER SOURCE. The potential energy to move the electron comes from the power source and not the electrodes. So if you look at the circuit again, the electrons are indeed moving away from the negative terminal of the battery (power source in this case) and it is moving towards the positive terminal of the power source. The negative and positive electrodes are labelled so because of their relative positions to the terminals of the battery. If you bridged the positive and negative terminals with a wire, you will see that electrons do in fact flow from the negative to positive terminal.
