Could you do a video of all of your favorite sweat sets you still have and wear? Like not just initial reaction, but how they held up overtime, which ones are still your favorite?
💯 agree on overhead lights being loud. In college, I exclusively used a lamp for the lighting of a one bedroom and never the fluorescent overhead lights. Years later, I’m still the same-lamps, yes; overhead lights, no; they’re instant headache-inducing.
100% agree here! Also my Dr said aquaphor and a bandage instead of drying a wound out or using Neosporin is the preferred method because it reduces the risk of scarring so my household is a 100% aquaphor house for everything.
Holy cow! The lights! A big NO on overhead canned lighting! I’ve been telling my husband that for years. Thank you for that validation! Cozy lighting only!
Rachel, your one suggestion of the candle warmer has resulted in me Now purchasing three of them, some for our house and one as a gift. I like low light as well and the adjustable light on the warmer is perfect. Top Amazon purchase ever!!!
From someone who regularly battles -35°F and PLENTY of snow here in Fairbanks, Alaska... Baffin Snogoose boots. By far the best boots I have ever owned for cold snowy weather. ❤
19:12 I highly suggest a spray on ice melt. You can make your own with isopropyl alcohol. Makes a massive difference! I keep a bottle on the counter by the front door during winter.
First things first, we also do the his chores her chores in our relationship. My husband and I call them specialties. I specialize in anything that has to do with socialization. He specializes in fixing things😊 I'm super excited to look into that scarf you tried. As well as the thing I cannot live without in the winter is wool socks.
Bed tents intended for holding heat are a game changer and you can find them for all different shapes/sizes including adults, kids, and pets. During a huge winter freeze there was no electricity for a solid week/week and a half and that was a life saver. Hot hand packets are also helpful. I love your cost also! 💝
Cashmere sweater, heated vest, smart wool socks, Baffin boots and/or Steger Mucklucks. And my hand made wool super cute soft hat with a pom pom on top. Lake Superior cold, baby!! This is a must. Hey, if you can afford a beaver skin hat if you don't mind looking like a wilderness trapper, you will never be cold!
People with light colored eyes tend to be more sensitive to light. I feel like I was supposed to have brown eyes but they ended up a light amber color and I'm blinded by any "loud lighting". I need sunglasses on cloudy days. Also neurodivergent people can be sensitive to a lot of light due to over stimulation. I deal with both, and my partner who has brown eyes can practically stare at the sun with no issues. However, he is also ND and now loves the way I set up our lighting since he never realized how much the bright lights over stimulated him.
Byoma lip oil, Jack Black lip balm in the squeezy tube, Naturium Phyto lip balm, and Tonymoly jelly melts are some of my favorite lip balms/oils. The Jack Black one also has SPF. The natural mint and shea is my favorite flavor so far, but the pineapple mint was surprisingly good too.
My husband got me a wearable blanket, there are little built in socks which covers your whole feet and arms where you can poke your hands out if you need them for something while you are still pretty much fully covered. It's fluffy in the inside and super soft on the outside. It's so amazing he is using it too if I don't and absolutely loves it 😁
The blue knit sweater looked amazing on you! I’m a big fan of cozy coloring videos too. I’m still learning new techniques with Ohuhu markers as well, but it’s such a fun process! also love the statement about the lights!
I also ride horses, and I love my Ariat boots made for cold weather. They fit with my half chaps when riding, but I find I am using them as my snow boots as well because they are so warm. AND, they are black!!
I know they are a bit pricey, but the Helly Hanson W Garibaldi VL 1 Boots are the best winter boots ever. They are so warm, comfy, great for snow/ice and hiking. Winter staple.
*I love the blue knit sweater but my first thought was ‘how does it look and feel with a coat on”? Then you said “add a blazer” and all I could see was a kid with 14 layers of clothing on below their winter coat and not able to bend their arms. For me I’d return it just because of that and even on a warmer spring day a simple jacket wouldn’t fit over those sleeves.*
My favorite winter cozy thing is living in a warm climate where it never snows. Gloves are just for dressy outfits with a long coat. Sweatshirts are our winter outer wear.
As someone who lives in South Australia this is all hilarious as for our winter these things are so over kill I have never even considered heated clothing. I do love your channel though very entertaining.
I feel so left out because everyone seems to hate the "BIG" light right now. I am the "big light" girl. And also the "small light" girl. When I'm home, especially at night but maybe even during the day, ALL lights and lamps in whatever room I'm in need to be ALL ON (except when I'm sleeping). In my office in my workplace, overhead fluorescent lights are on, plus 2 desk lamps, plus an LED string lights. I need all the lights I can have. 😅
My favorite winter boots are from Columbia and they have fur cuffs. Kept me warm walking through snow to class in college. They came up pretty high so I could tuck my pants into them. I still have them.
Haha husband and wife chores yes yes. My husband does laundry and dishes. I do the majority of the grocery shopping but I do send him pics of things to get as he works in the pharmacy of a store lol. I do all the cooking(my husband can’t cook at all) and sweeping, mopping and vacuuming. He would do some of that but is in a walking boot after having surgery. Yes overhead lights are loud. We live in an apartment that only has overhead lights in the kitchen and hallway. I had so much fun purchasing cozy lighting everywhere else.
Ok so I tried Vessi shoes this month, they’re kind of like a pull on sock design but they’re fully waterproof and I’m OBSESSED. I got the high top sneakers and the Chelsea boot and I’m so glad I did! I think you’d love them for winter
I personally am a Columbia outdoors gear girl. I have boots and a interchange jacket. That thing is toasty. The boots are taller than the North Face ones you were trying. I live in Wisconsin and winter can either be super cold and snowy/wet or just cool.
My favorite winter boots are from Korkers (Snowmageddon BOA Winter Boots) - they are amazing and come with interchangeable soles so if you need to walk on ice, they have soles with more traction.
As a horse girly who went to college in Montana, I just wore my Muck boots as snow boots. They had traction, warmth, and went up to my knees, but you could roll them down too. I just had ugly black ones, but they have such cute colors now!
I have an extendable scraper with a foam snow broom on one end. Works so great for my SUV roof and I'm short. But I also use a windshield cover because I hate hate hate scraping!
as a Finnish person it's weird seeing people rave about the things I don't even think about. Kind of like necessities, for example the ice scraper, everyone has at least one of those in their car. Love your videos
My house is really open and has lots of windows on the front and back wall with big louvers. Lights are always off in the whole house unless necessary, but the house is never too dark to navigate, with all the outside light coming in, even at night. My room is also FILLED with cozy lights. I have four sets of fairy lights around my computer desk, plus blacklights and LED neon signs. I only use the top light when necessary, which is mostly for getting dressed and playing VR games. And on top of that, when I work overnights or super early morning shifts, I leave all the lights off in the bakery (there is a single light that cannot be turned off, so I can see plenty well) I've been called a vampire by many people.
So I go outside and play with my dog in almost all temperatures (except negatives). He’s a border collie mix and is made for winter lol he loves it! I have 3 Oodies that’s I rotate through during the week. I have tried other brands, and the name brand Oodie is seriously the best! I can be out in single digits in an Oodie, and only my extremities (not covered) are cold. It’s amazing for cold weather and it’s soooo comfy!
I love that all of us have our own preferences! When you asked if we thought that the fleece sweater was cute?. I thought; I would never ever use the words - fleece and cute in the same sentence 😂! I liked the second sweater on you though! Going to look into the heated gloves, my hands are always cold 🥶! 💕
Lol I also am a lamp girlie. When you showed the video of the girl in the dark with a lantern and there was only the microwave light on. I am literally sitting and look over to only see my microwave light on. 😅
My bedjet is heaven. I turn it on 10 minutes before I climb in and aahhhh. It is like getting under your blankets after they come out of the dryer. It cools in the summer. 100% recommend.
I despise ice scraping. I'm short & lazy lol. I currently use just a regular outdoor tarp thats big enough to cover windshield & part of the rear windshield (its the size i had on hand) I secure with bungee cords if super windy or just tuck around wipers & into edges of doors before closing. They do make more fitted & magnetic covers that I've been eyeing. Just haven't tried them out yet
Orolay coat. Midwest by the water of Texas, and it was my first (and only) winter coat purchase. It’s absolutely worth the hype and every penny I spent on it!
Winter must have? HEATED MATTRESS PAD. Bliss. Most nights I don’t even sleep with it on, but I use it to heat up the bed before I get into the bed. It’s amazing.

For YEARS I have been searching for something I had in my youth... a windshield scraper inside a mitt/stuffy that was Garfield!!! Not just a stuffy, he was meant for ice. If anyone knows where to find one... hahaha. Rach got 85% there with this blue scraper!! 😄

Could you do a video of all of your favorite sweat sets you still have and wear? Like not just initial reaction, but how they held up overtime, which ones are still your favorite?
The blue knit sweater was really nice on you!
I dont think you should go a size smaller on that blue cable knit sweater.....it looked beautiful and perfect on you!! 🥰
Totally agree! It looks so warm and cozy
Keep the blue knit sweater it looks so good on you🥰
I already said this in my comment above, but that sweater is so so so so cute I'm obsessed with it
💯 agree on overhead lights being loud. In college, I exclusively used a lamp for the lighting of a one bedroom and never the fluorescent overhead lights. Years later, I’m still the same-lamps, yes; overhead lights, no; they’re instant headache-inducing.
Aquaphor is the best for dry lips! Not the lip one, just the OG aquaphor. Cheap and easy to find, they make little travel size squeeze tubes.
Petroleum jelly is my go-to and is available very cheap!
100% agree here! Also my Dr said aquaphor and a bandage instead of drying a wound out or using Neosporin is the preferred method because it reduces the risk of scarring so my household is a 100% aquaphor house for everything.
Yes! OG Aquaphor is the best. Huge no to vaseline!
Yes, I always take a ton of the samples from my dermatologist's office and they last me all year.
@@EFR1616awesone tip!! I scar so easily. Thank you!!
Holy cow! The lights! A big NO on overhead canned lighting! I’ve been telling my husband that for years. Thank you for that validation! Cozy lighting only!

I love the royal blue fleece!
The puffy scarf looked awesome!
From someone who regularly battles -35°F and PLENTY of snow here in Fairbanks, Alaska... Baffin Snogoose boots. By far the best boots I have ever owned for cold snowy weather. ❤
A heated mattress pad is a game changer in the winter!
Agreed! I love mine.
The best!!
19:12 I highly suggest a spray on ice melt. You can make your own with isopropyl alcohol. Makes a massive difference! I keep a bottle on the counter by the front door during winter.
Actually don't use this! It's toxic to cats, but apparently the smell of it attracts them, so they'll drink from puddles etc and they'll get sick

I looked for the scarf and it's sold out on her link🥲
@marigonz381 😭😭😭😭😭😭
The blue knit sweater was very flattering
Heated socks are a must-have item!
I'm sorry.... 😮 Heated SOCKS are a thing!!!!!?????
Bed tents intended for holding heat are a game changer and you can find them for all different shapes/sizes including adults, kids, and pets. During a huge winter freeze there was no electricity for a solid week/week and a half and that was a life saver. Hot hand packets are also helpful. I love your cost also! 💝
I have been waiting for a good heated glove recommendation for forever!!
Also-“the lights are too loud” is both relatable and super neurodivergent ❤
Cashmere sweater, heated vest, smart wool socks, Baffin boots and/or Steger Mucklucks. And my hand made wool super cute soft hat with a pom pom on top. Lake Superior cold, baby!! This is a must. Hey, if you can afford a beaver skin hat if you don't mind looking like a wilderness trapper, you will never be cold!
For the light you returned, if you hold the button down that adjusts the brightness - I have the same one and love it!
People with light colored eyes tend to be more sensitive to light. I feel like I was supposed to have brown eyes but they ended up a light amber color and I'm blinded by any "loud lighting". I need sunglasses on cloudy days.

First 2 fleece/sweaters looked amazing! I need to buy them!
The blue jumper looks gorgeous on you and looks so cozy x
My electric blanket is a must I love crawling into bed and it's already warm it's so amazing and awesome I love it!!!!
Yes Rach overhead lights are loud! It’s 42°C here right now in Aussie land. I think I’d prefer to have snow!

The dark blue sweater was perfection on you- color and all

You absolutely crack me up… Thank you for the information as well as the laughter
The first sweater reminded me of a bath rug. 😆
The blue and white fleece shirt reminds me of the Finnish flag 🇫🇮!!!
Overhead lighting is ABSOLUTELY loud lol, you’re so real for that 👏🏼😂
Me, who lives in sub tropical Australia and is currently mid summer : ooooh look at all the cozy things! I could use some of these.
Haha husband and wife chores yes yes. My husband does laundry and dishes. I do the majority of the grocery shopping but I do send him pics of things to get as he works in the pharmacy of a store lol. YES!!! THE OVERHEAD LIGHTS ARE LOUD!!!!
I have a frost guard, a windshield cover love it
My husband is often cold, so I bought the vest for him. He loves it.
I have the first sweater you tried on in grey & green and it’s my favorite winter sweater here in Michigan!
Our houses are on the opposite ends. I love lights! You need sunglasses in my house if you are not use to it 🤣
YESSS! In mine too. It's obscene how bright it is especially in my bathroom. 😂
Try the Clinique lip balm in the pink tube! Chef's kiss!
Rechargable hand warmers for inside your pockets
Love these too

If you are riding in the winter, the iredian makes great winter breches, and Mountain Horse makes a great winter jacket
The blue jumper No1 is giving shaved muppet. Love the second blue one 😂 xx
My winter must have is to be living in Arizona.
I really like the blue fleece, the first knitted one looks great too but the last one is horrid 😂 ooh that puffer scarf would match my coat.
For Winter boots, I prefer to have them of higher length. My newer one that I bought are about above mid-calf length.
Lol I also am a lamp girlie. When you showed the video of the girl in the dark with a lantern and there was only the microwave light on. I am literally sitting and look over to only see my microwave light on. 😅

Yes! Overheard lights are loud!
Overhead lights are deafening, especially the blue/white one 😊
O'Keefe's lip repair is amazing
I tell my coworkers I am a vampire because I prefer to work in the dark. Two computer screens put off plenty of light 😊
I call overhead too bright lighting "angry lights". I totally understand the loud lights nickname too❤from Central Ontario Canada
I despise ice scraping. I'm short & lazy lol. Orolay coat. Midwest by the water of Texas, and it was my first (and only) winter coat purchase. It’s absolutely worth the hype and every penny I spent on it!
You did all the homework for the humidifier and it looks like you found the best. Added to cart. Also the heated glove liners.
The blue knit sweater 💕
Rachel the Cookie Monster shirt looks great on you
Winter must have? HEATED MATTRESS PAD. Bliss. Most nights I don’t even sleep with it on, but I use it to heat up the bed before I get into the bed. It’s amazing.
Surviving finnish winters in Adidas Terrex Hiker shoes! They are not slippery, come in fun colours, are waterproof and warm!
The key to a warm winter boot is the sole. The sole needs to be thick, because the cold comes in from the bottom. That's why Moon Boots were the 💩. They looked pretty ridiculous, and seemed like they'd be heavy, but they were light and sooooo warm. I wish someone would make a knock-off version again.
I love the solid blue knit sweater, it looks great on you, I strongly dislike the cookie monster one and the striped one.
Some lights are definitely "loud"! Currently at my grandmother's and my mom and I are doing a puzzle on the dining room table and the overhead light there has a loud and noticeable buzzing sound when it's turned on - gives us a headache after a while. I liked that blue knitted-look sweater you tried on best. Snow boots... I've not tried nor ever bought timberlands but I LOVE my Spring Step Shoes MIREYA winter boots - they very warm in the cold, water and snow proof, cover my calves, and have double zippers (angled/curved, not straight!) on the left and right sides that have gussets to keep out wetness. No laces for adjusting, but I've not needed to do any. They don't seem to sell that style anymore, but I think you could check out the FLEXUS CITYWALK instead, especially if you want to try a non-black boot.
Love your videos!
6:22 Gold necklace. You know the one, the... Braided chain? I don't know what it's called. Just think 80s & 90s. I know you have one. That will absolutely bring the look together!
I looooove my snow shield. You just have to remember to put it on the windshield 😂
My winter recomendations are the nuxe reve de miel lip treatment, it's amazing, my lips have never been better. And for the ice on my car first I remove all the soft snow and then I use a defreezing spray from my local supermarket. Two spritzes and in 5 seconds all the ice falls to the ground, I can't be bothered to scrape the windshield at 7 am every morning.
What sweater are you wearing before you try on the first sweater. It’s beautiful!!
Would love to know where the light blue sweater you had on before the cookie monster one came from
Really old one from misguided 😊
The way I ran to get that Telguua vest(male version) for my husband for these cold Midwest nights.
Sorel TORINO V WP ( Curry Black color) cute an definitely the best winter boots/shoes out there 😊

Put two eyes on that ice scraper and you've got a strange fish to add fun to your ice removal..😀🌵🌵🌵
That seems like the perfect amount of light to me! I hate overhead lights 😂. I recently got a dodo lamp for my birthday.
the magic cone/funnel ice scrapers 100% work at getting the ice off your car. Easiest tool I've ever used.
I have horses and I horseback ride (obv) I have a few must haves:
I believe they are the noble equestrian insulated winter gloves
The muck boot company arctic muck boots are great for all things winter
Heated vest and jacket
Heated socks off Amazon
Turtle fur neck things
HorZe makes a really nice winter jacket that unzips on the sides to ride in
Redingotes are a must have
Insulated riding pants like snow pants
with a full seat are amazing
For riding boots it was always a challenge but Ariat was always the best with insulated winter riding boots. Paddock or tall but I would size up to make room with warm socks
Also smartwool socks are very helpful
Wool or fuzzy insoles in your boots are chefs kiss
Also the helmet covers that basically cover your whole face are so useful
