He was disappointed since he saw potential in Megumi, yet Megumi was 'holding back' which angered him enough to start fighting him. Idk its just some theory I saw somewhere

If you are comparing to Naruto, then he would be more like Sasuke. If you look close enough Gojo have some similliarities with Kakashi (being the teacher/master), Itadori with Naruto (being the always excited one, the most sociable character), Fushiguro with Sasuke (silent and individualistic) and Nobara with Sakura.
megumi isn't like sasuke or kakashi. he's a lot more emotionally stable but he is pretty childish. megumi also cares more about other people than himself cause multiple times he almost sacrifices himself to take an enemy down.
