- Rogers Behavioral Health's M.J. Kramer, MD, DFAPA and Sonia Izmirian, PhD address sleep concerns with therapeutic interventions and medication management. Common sleep concerns include trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, and waking up earlier than intended, with an estimated 50 to 80 percent of people experiencing one of these challenges. While many may be familiar with how sleep concerns can impact their daily functioning, it’s important to understand that they can also aggravate psychiatric symptoms. They review diagnostic criteria and sleep hygiene habits in addition to evidence-based therapeutic interventions and newer medications.
