Pretty good APU honestly. The two most demanding games I have on my laptop are Planet Coaster and Just Cause 4, and they both run terribly on my A12-9720P APU. I'd love to see how well the 3500U could run the games so I could compare them

These 3500U are worth 600 bucks tops, but if you can't find for cheap consider buying an older one with 2500U CPU on it, even used. 2500U has been shown to have better performance for games than the newer ones. If you can find one for cheap don't miss the opportunity.
@Alwin Yapp Yes like your system needs two sticks of 4GB of similar speed (3200mhz or 2666mhz and similar timmings) or two sticks of 8GB at similar speed as well. Don't do 4GB + 8GB because there will be a slight performance hit. That's why people when upgrading desktop pc, they go with 8GB × 2 or 4GB × 2 instead of 4GB + 8GB or something. Ryzen especially loves memory and that is so much more on APU (meaning it doesn't use discrete graphics card) Also, note that TDP settings is important for Ryzen laptop (basically overclock) and please use Ryzen controller to settings your RAM timmings, look up guide and whatnot. One last thing, play while charging otherwise it will underclock due to power (it will also underclock due to heat)

3500u is fine if it's much less than $600 otherwise look for a 4000 series ryzen laptop, like a 4500u, they are so much better, but for some reason equivalent ryzen 3000 series laptops haven't dropped much in price.

Have u increased the tdp ? The default is 15w, but when i set ir to 25w it improve the game fps on all my games tho, exam : in war thunder i got 10 fps on high setting 720p, but when i set it to 25w it gets around 40-50fps stable..maybe you could try that
