Esp when Jp getting is frustrated bc dosan is just so... naive and innocent to a fault. They had good chemistry. Even with the rest of samsan tech boys. It was never meant to be a JiPyeong vs DoSan thing ALTHOUGH it felt like it in the second half. If you watch it as a whole (without the fan wars distracting you) it’s actuallly still kinda enjoyable and it will make you feel the bromance and the Start-Upness more lol

Nah, I hated it. The love triangle was non-existent, so the love triangle attempt.. ruined everything. It was simply a love story within a story of overcoming and effort. I dindt like it at all. I didn't even make sense of the letters, because there could be a lot of potential there and like.. they only used them so that Do san would meet dalmi, and Jipyong would remain as.. the intermediary who falls in love with the protagonist, but that in the end.. you've always known that she's never going to stay with him, because she never liked him. It was just a waste of time 💔
I was so confused why fanwars existed between DoSan and JiPyeong, when their scenes together were so cute to watch.
I would have to disagree with you on that one even without the love triangle I didn't like the drama overall . I wanted to see how dalmi and dosan make a startup successful and dosan always faced failure so it was refreshing to see him and dalmi work together in a new start up. They're all poor but suddenly after the three year gap they're rich . We wanted to see dosan go from an immature character to a mature one but no it doesn't happen and he's suddenly mature after 3 years . And then they work under injae. And for three years they're at sandbox but after 1 year they're in a big building of their company. That takes a lot of time . Three years and they didn't go out of sandbox and 1 year their office is big as hell . So these were also the reasons why I didn't like startup .

I love this drama so much for the first time we got a unique character like dosan he really shined for me who been watching kdrama for 11 years, I was so bored thank god they decided to make a one of a kind lead.
But what amazes me more is Nam joo hyuk acting skills, if you look at the clip, you can see dosan being shy and can't even look at JP in the eye... But in the 5 last episode namjoohyuk managed to change his body language, his gaze, his mindset, everything..... To be dominant towards JP and lead him to give up because dosan was much stronger at the end. In the end dosan was a self made person, made the right decision quickly and turned the tables and JP was the one who was stressing when he came back. I love how the drama showed that anything can be done once you believe on yourself, that is why dosan and injae will be my favorite character because their development and how they changed was awesome.
I knew #Namjoohyuk before he is so popular with 14 M followers I mean I knew him of course but I wasn't interested. But since his drama dazzling, I saw the spark in him he amazed me with his acting skills and I remembered I told myself that he would shine in 2020 and he really did it, 2 successful kdrama and one successful movie #josee that is sold out before release and no 1 on box office for 6 days till now. How much he is improving and trying different roles shows how versatile and courageous he is 👌 i saw I lot of actors being popular during 11 years of kdrama, I love a lot of actors but #namjoohyuk would be something great in the futur I can sens it already, can't wait for his drama with shin minha in 2021 and his other movie in 2021.
I agree with you! People who kept saying Dosan had no character development must have not watched the show properly. He slowly started showing his cheeky side and was able to look at people in the eye, speak his mind, stand for what he believes in, and put his feelings aside whilst still being supportive, caring, and kind. Such a shame that people didn’t appreciate this. I love Dosan as a character so much!

i think the hug at the end was an ad lib, especially since seonho said in an interview that he did a lot of ad libs with joohyuk 😂

I wish the plot had a bit more of a focus on these two - Growing and learning from each other and actually becoming close, you know? It would have been nice to see them horse around with each other while also being sort of like actual "brothers" who end up being there for each other through thick and through thin. It would have been nice to watch, honestly. I'd honestly pay for an alternative plot with these two as the main leads at this point lmao.

I really hate the writer for making dosan's character from smart & kind to being a really toxic guy after realising his feelings for dalmi. It stole one of the best bromance that we cld get.. such wasted opportunity 😪 when the writer brought the bromance back for the last 2 eps, it just feels like an afterthought.
