I have been teaching upper grades for 20 years now. This new school year, I will be teaching kinder at a new school!! I am excited and nervous, yet your videos help in calming down the nerves. Thank you so much for your insight and providing links for everything you mention. My favorite part??? Some documents are FREE!!
I've watched this so many times, because I love the concept and YOUR enthusiasm for student-led conferences!!! Two questions, if you have the chance.... 1) How many times a year do you have these conferences? and 2) For the neediest students, those who struggle because of a specific learning disability, or because they have missed a LOT of school, does it help to do anything differently so kids & parents stay positive? (example: The graph is stagnant... even after winter break ...and you're thinking, "Jamie is probably looking at a two-year learning plan.")
Do you have to do RTI groups? I would love to see a video on your small group activities and how you organize your materials. Also how you keep track of their progress. Hope your weekend is going well! :-)
Hello, We do have an RTI process at our school that is for at risk students. This year I do not currently have any students going through the formal RTI process. I can for sure do video in the future about small groups. Thanks so much for watching, have a great week!
SOOOOOO HELPFUL!!! Thank you!!!
