The soup looks delicious! Your pronunciation was great! I appreciate how real your vlog is and how lived in your home is…it seems welcoming & cozy. I’m so excited to start following your channel.
I am so grateful for your videos. Your channel is the first one I came across that has decluttering , organizing , and homemaking according to the words of God . I needs this. Thank you . Thank you. May Lord God bless your work.❤❤
Oh and another tip on freezing beans is to freeze in measurements you’d find canned so if you’re referencing a recipe it can be the same measurements VS having to guess or thaw a portion of it only if that makes sense!
I am so glad I came across your channel I love that your biblical mindset and simple outlook on feeding your family well on a budget. So inspirational and exactly the kind of channel I need!
We just cut out packaged snacks from our home. We are gluten free. There’s basically nothing healthy in them anyway and they’re so expensive!! Thank you for this video.
The Costco gf pizza is definitely a favorite. We get their salami when it’s on sale and freeze that to supplement the pizza’s protein and toss on some more cheese (needs a little garlic powder at that point). Definitely love cooking up an entire pack of Costco’s ground beef each month and freezing in bags portioned for what we use in a single meal. Makes cooking that much faster during the week!
Yes! SO good! We love to stock up on their salami too. Never thought to add it to the pizza though, great idea!! Having pre-cooked meat ready to go is a game changer for sure!
Such a beautiful video 🤎 And the editing was chef's🤌🏼 kiss! I know you are feeling a little discouraged. I feel like the Lord wanted me to share Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Bless you, sweet friend 🍁🍂🧡
whenever I make a crockpot meal, i'll double the recipe so I can freeze half of it and have a 'no cook' meal for days I don't feel like or don't have time to cook.
I've been trying so much more to make snacks from scratch too! Even the non organic ones are expensive. I still do buy them because my children are in school and it can be handy when I don't have any on hand, but have been really trying to make them at home more. We have been learning more about food and what's in it etc this last year and it's really convicted me to want to make more of an effort in this area.
I love that this was a combination of practical tips, recipes and vlog! Your pronunciation of caldo de albondigas was pretty good! I grew up eating that but haven’t made it myself in a few years. Looks delicious!
Hi! Just found your channel and i can absolutely relate. One of the things i do is if there is something your family enjoys make double. Serve half for the cook night and freeze the other half either in containers or a flat zip bag. Believe it or not, that frozen meal will taste even better. Zap in the microwave long enough to get out if the bag and pop it in the crock pot or into a baking dish to warm through. It only takes a few extra minutes and you will thank yourself later. Personally, i keep lentil, veg beef, chicken, and taco soup as well as chilli, beef stew, and meatloaf all wrapped in my freezer cuz life happends. You have to eat and something hot on the table always tastes better than drive through and your wallet will thank you! Have a blessed day! Oh! And cookie dough freezes beautifully. Just scoop out your dough balls and freeze them. Pop them in a bag and you can have fresh warm cookies for when that cookie emergency happens (yes, there are cookie emergencies).❤
Hey Dawn! I love those ideas!! I always want to freeze cookie dough, but we eat it too fast 🤭 I guess I need to triple my recipes haha. Thanks for being here 💕
@@simplylivingmama lol! I bake off a few and while they are baking I fill another tray and get it into the freezer before they see it lol. I just have to hide the bag of dough balls in with the vegetables (like literally, inside an empty bag of mixed vegetables) so they last longer than a day.
Amish discount stores are where I get most of my products. I make homemade jelly’s and jams, and freeze produce I get given from family. Meats are bought on sale and portioned out and frozen. I cannot try very many things because my husband is a picky eater. I love him to bits but man do I miss beans. 😢
We shop once a month at an Amish store and buy what we need for the month. For a family of 5, we spend $200-$250 on groceries every month. Two years ago, we spent $150/month. They have everything we need that doesn't grow in our garden.
"A few years ago we could purchase healthy, gluten free snacks. Now they're just a treat." This is my experience exactly. We have had to cut way back on these 'luxury' items.
How do you pay rent or mortgage? What about bills? I’m going to start homemaking but everything is so expensive. Thank you for the food tip.. I will start buying in bulk. What about meat? We hunt so we do have venison but where do you get other meat from?
So my husband is currently in school but being prior military the military pays for our housing while he's in school, which is a HUGE blessing. I am also a birth photographer & doula part time which fills in the gaps. After my husband is done with school we will be paying our mortgage with what he makes from his job
A good fall back it making pizza and making extra A dough to freeze. Or go the extra And put toppings on. Put on trays to freeze then bag them up until that time you NEED pizza 🍕🍕🍕
It truly depends, I get produce from Aldi's but if I bought 25lbs of beans or rice from Aldi's vs. Azure then it would cost more from Aldi's , if that makes sense. Sometimes I will price check and things are not cheaper on azure and are cheaper at Costco but others things are cheaper. Hopefully that makes sense 😅
@@karenrobinson129 thankfully my husband and kiddos are not celiac but they do have a pretty bad gluten intolerance. So any store bought items or conveniently made items have to be gluten free but I have found that they are able to digest long fermented sourdough using non gluten free flour. But unfortunately I don't think that would work for celiac
@@lindawilson8434 we shop the sales 😊 but like I mentioned my family has health restrictions/allergies so unfortunately we have to spend more on groceries or they will be sick which then will lead to medical bills

It certainly is crazy how much inflation has caused grocery prices to sky rocket within only a few years!!!

Fold over your freezer bag tops when you fill them. It keeps your seals cleaner and makes thr bag stand up and open better while you fill.
