Very cool. Once I figured out I could pause and still look around I took more time looking around. What is this crazy technology you are using as a tool?? The club looks amazing!
Three take aways from this Video. First: 1949? Year I was born. Second: I was a third of the way thru the Video before I remembered I could scroll side to side and up and down. Third: A model railroad is Never Finished. Very Cool Video Heath. Thank You.
The original design always included this second half of the layout, but they decided to build one section first. You can go back and watch it a few times (hee hee) to make sure you didn’t miss anything.
I see you are testing the cameras, Great views both over and under, I wish more would understand how much wiring etc it takes to make it all work. good job looking forward to the streams from the show. wish I could be there
It’s not just that it requires a lot of wiring, but the organization of planning and executing is important. I think of the wiring as the cardiovascular and nervous system of the railroad. Critical to function, but hidden underneath.
@@HumancityJunction Me too Heath. I was just saying for peeps new to the hobby, they think it all runs on 2 wires and dont understand the below of what actually makes it all work Lookng forward to see the streams from Amherst, hope everyone has a great weekend
John, not rebuilding, expanding. This extension was always on the original plans that Paul Mallory had for the layout back in the 70’s, but it was being built one section at a time.
It has been years since I was there. It's a huge layout. I like the 360 aspect
Depending how long it has been, you might not have seen the new half of the HO scale layout.
You're right, I never saw that new section. Looks like it has doubled in size
That is a huge club layout. 😮
Yes it is!
Very cool tour Heath, thanks much! (Dave).
Glad you enjoyed it

Everyone keeps telling me I am a tool, is that what you mean?
The camera is the Insta360 x3.
@@HumancityJunction lol. Looking forward to more 360 footage!
@@OtterCreek Thanks
This is really cool! Feels like I’m actually there looking around!
Harrison, see you this weekend!!
Nice 👍. I believe that there might have been pictures of this very large club layout in one of the model railroad magazines several years ago. 😊😊
Paul Mallory, one of the original founders, wrote a large amount of articles. It is very likely there have been some write ups over the years.

I think people just say that so that people are not afraid of DCC.@@raybertelsen6090
@@HumancityJunction have old layouts that were made for dc with blocks etc and converting them too dcc was as siple as a dpdt switch
Very nice! Are they in the process of rebuilding? Looks like a lot of new work going on. Thanks for sharing.

Nice video, but I miss your commentary. Perhaps the environment didn’t allow for it. It looks like a huge facility.
It was time. I usually do it as a voice over, but with planning the trip to Amherst this weekend, I wanted to get this released.
Wow that a nice size layout. 😊 Thanks for sharing 👍
Yeah, imagine if everything was pink.
