Those crazy kids and their Mary Jane!! 😳 By the way, just noticed in the last couple of episodes Fatima is now a “King-sized” cigarette, no longer a “Long cigarette.” All I heard from all brands growing up was “King-sized.” Interesting how terms change over time…
Oh ya . Marijuana 😮. I have smoked weed fir over 50 years and never act like these “ punks” . Once I started playing around with. Meth , reds 💉 mainlining . You bet there was trouble. But once those years were behind me and I was just toking . Never felt like ripping it up . Thank God I lived through all that crap 🙏🙏
Its so funny to think that pot was thought of just as bad as heroin when in reality it's pretty much harmless compared to the hard shit it was compared to
Im not a user of marijuana, but this is laughable. The chances of a group of kids reacting this way to pot is nearly zero, but this kind of propaganda was very prolific at one time. Having worked in night clubs most of my life, id take a crowd of stoners over some drunks any day of the week. lol Ive never seen or heard of someone becoming violent after smoking marijuana. Disclaimer: I dont condone mind altering substances of any type. But this is pure fantasy
In 1969 I was in Jr high in Tomah Wisconsin and a kid came in and shot the principal dead. The police said he was high on marijuana. At 12 years old I believed them. I didn't start smoking dope until almost 18. For me mind you, it opened the door for much harder stuff. I ain't saying smoking dope is bad. I'd rather deal with a someone stoned on pot than a drunk any day. By the way, I ain't done either in 43 years.
@@Cat-rc5bpmarijuana doesn't make people act crazy at all! If a kid shoots someone there was a preexisting problem, most assuredly the problems started at home. Weed doesn't even make people lazy the people were lazy before smoking pot. Weed isn't even addictive you can quit with no side effects unlike cigarettes, alcohol, etc and anything can be bad for you if you abuse it.
@@jmantwild9373yes sir. I was just saying how it was for me. I've been clean and sober for 44 years and if I went back to anything it would prolly be pot. Pot has really helped a lot of people deal with some serious issues. I'm not against it at all. Just ain't my cup of tea.
@@jmantwild9373back in the late '70s I must have smoked a bail of weed. I concur that it didn't make me want to do any harm to anyone except maybe someone who would scratch one of my albums 😹😹. But being 12 years old in '69 in a small town I was rather innocent and trusted the coppers.
I think the less the better myself. And the sad fact is, the people who NEED the medication won't take it. It's easier talking to a cat than telling a schizophrenic person that their meds are good for them.
This should be titled the Big Reefer Madness Episode. 🤣
reefer madness - You'd think the teens were running a meth lab the way they tore up the theater. This episode was remade for television in 1953.
It just isn't weed. It's dope.
An ugly word for a dirty business. (Ed Wood.)
Big jump in the sound quality here.
My son is a marijuanahead......... Hilarious. Ol dad sure flipped in a hurry.

we growing up were manipulated so subtly we didn't notice😮😮😮.hey, thank you.
Written by James Moser. Later adapted for television on November 6, 1952 {with Herb Ellis as "Officer Frank Smith").
I find the cigarette commercials interesting. Times have changed
Carolyn Lighthart yes times have changed 4/2/2020 23 days in lockdown in Washington state 😲 God help this world 🙏🙏🙏
I think that this is the first episode to drop the word, “only”, before “the names were changed to protect the innocent”.

Cannabis calms, reefer madness.

@@Cat-rc5bpI looked up that story. Martin Mogenson was the principal's name. That was tragic.

Don't smoke marijuana, save your money for Fatima cigarettes!
It's wise to smoke extra mild Fatima. 🚬☠️
I have a feeling the case this was based on was a heavier drug than pot. Did they change it to be more "tame" or was it propaganda?
Harold Jr said some kids were doing harder stuff. That could be the case or it could be propaganda like reefer madness.
Meanwhile benzadrine not criminalized until 1966 and dexadrine issued to soldiers and pilots in Vietnam and even later.
Don't make the mistake of slipping into moral relativism. All mind-altering substances used for non-medicinal purposes are bad.

Potheads trashing a theater? Nah. Laughing at their popcorn, maybe, but not trashing the place.
Jack Webb is A Savage!!!
In this episode, he savagely tells many people to smoke cigarettes.
