I liked this version of Wolverine. he was more brutal and more like a soldier and his mutant ability is NOT a healing factor, but the ability to survive as demonstrated by fury who decapitated logan and explained that logan as able to talk by taking oxygen in from his skin. when they took out the oxygen in the room, wolverine went into stasis until oxygen came back. this happened in hulk vs wolverine i believe. 98% sure
616 Wolverine can Get Brutal Too if He is not Defeated but his Fellow X men Are Captured. In a Comic He went into a Bloodlust Rage and Cut Some Soldiers Limbs off and they Got Ptsd and Are Scared of Him as Well as had to put Artificial Limbs on.
So he is more like Darwing but less op?
"mean, darker, more selfish" is basically what I'd call every Ultimate comics version of a character.
Human torch was pretty cool
Except Ultimate Spider-Man. He was given exclusive treatment. I'm not a fan.

I remember a bit where peter was going to fill kingpin's lungs with spider webbing for attacking his aunt and Miles killed his own uncle for his "with great power...." Moment also his mom got killed in front of him so id say both ultimate spider men also Miles is a great character because for once the writers didn't just do Peter Parker but he's a black guy he's his own character entirely.

Wolverine gets severely burned after getting combo'd by Cyclops' optic blast and Iron Man's repulsor blasts, both of which are concussive...makes total sense. But not as much sense as bringing a guy with metal bones to a fight with someone who can control metal. Granted, the 616 x-men have also made that same mistake. PIS is one heck of a thing.

I like the ultimate universe after the mainstream 616 universe this is perfect for my birthday today. You should do a video on 1610/ultimate universe green goblin which is my all time favorite version of the green goblin I like him more than 616 green goblin.
Ultimate Wolverine is tall too
I have noticed that this Wolverine is taller than the original.
He's about average height, but still shorter than most of the others. 616 is 5'3, Ultimate is 5'9
@nickflaskett257 He's near 616 Spiderman Height (The same spiderman that cracks joke on Wolverine height) so he's Height and sizeable. He's not Thor or Cap height but he's up there basically plus he's also alot more handsome than 616 Wolverine as well and keeps hygiene on him somewhat

The Ultimate line had so much potential, and my god did it spiral into garbage.
Like when their great plan to defeat the 616 Galactus was to make Kitty Pride giant and fist fight him?

Uhm...616 Wolverine had amnesia as well and he was definetely mean, dark and brutal.
People probably don't get that because of how consistently bad Marvel writing has been in the last decade or couple decades. It went downhill since the Quesada run as editor in chief, I think.
Try reading some classic Wolverine stuff. He really struggled controlling his rage bursts because he often used to go feral in fights, had zero problems killing and was pretty secretive about his own business. His past was largely a huge mystery until Wolverine: Origins (which was a nice miniseries per se, but damaged the character more than it helped it, in hindsight).
As an old Marvel reader, while I liked the alternative takes on characters like Cap, Hulk and Thor, I never really saw the point with Ultimate Wolverine since it was basically just Wolverine.
Granted, 616 Logan wasn't a Magneto agent, but he was still part of Weapon X, Team X and Alpha Flight, often being used for black ops.
I guess he got so overused and written plainly when he became mainstream that currently he lost some of the edge that made him popular in the first place.
Ultimate wolverine I think was a jerk yes but I think he got better in my opinion.

Was a jerk? He was actually a pedophile to Jean Grey (who is a teen in that adaptation [Edited: Okay Jean Grey is 19, but he still acted creepy to Spidey's Redhead]) and Mary Jane, left Cyclops to die, worked as a spy for Magneto and nearly killed Professor X with stairs. And I think the first one is the worst of them all that makes me dislike this version of Wolverine. The Wolverine I know and love is the 616 version. He may be a jerk and even dislike Cyclops, but he would never outright play the villain and act like a creep to kids and actually does more heroic deeds than the 1610 version. Plus he's stronger morally and physically and has a stronger healing factor than the Ultimate version. Just stating my opinion. That's all.

Yeah but except with the incidents of the nuke and being torn in half, his skeleton still remained intact and there was a substantial amount of flesh for him to regenerate from.
i honestly do NOT like this version of wolverine. his design is cool, but he's just a freakazoid with no nuance. he's a fully bad guy who just got manipulated by the good guys, whereas real wolverine has actual morals and depth.

@@devonjohnson9483 yeah I've read the entire ultimate universe in order what sabertooth said about him being his dad has yet to be confirmed for the most part it's in sabertooths character to say that just to mess with him if it was legitimately true the guide to the ultimate universe book would have confirmed it.

I've said this before on other comments the love triangle with Logan, Jean & Scott is boring, old & ridiculous plus in other comics there probably times when Logan wanted to kill Scott or leave him to die somewhere so he can have Jean to himself. Knowing Jean despite that she secretly likes being fought over she would would never forgive Logan if he killed Scott or any one she cares about. Seriously Logan's had other romances bur always they send his a$$ back to fawning over Jean the only other woman who would trump Jean is Mariko Put her in front of Logan & see how fast he'll drop Jean.

I think Spider-Man was the best Ultimate comic but the Ultimates and X-Men started off good but it all got weird the longer it went on. The Fantastic Four was as bad as the movies.

I hate this it a version of Wolverine because 1: he is a fucking creep. 2: he Left cyclops for dead so he can have Jean all to himself. 4: He is more of a villain than a hero and the one thing that I Hate about this with all of its existence this that He tried to r##e mj who was A fucking teenager and I hate the ultimate x men in this universe. And I'm going to come out and say this: I hate the love for triangular between logan scott and jean Because it's now getting old Ridiculous and boring we already had this Love triangular once in the comics, we don't need this again.
