She’s only 22. She’s the same age as CC.
I’ve never seen a negative comment about her. She and CC are gonna be amazing together.

Another young player who runs the floor patrols the paint and makes the close-in shots but doesn't "get the press" is Hannah Stuelke. She was a track star on her high school team so she can run. She's one of my fav players so I wish she could get more recognition she deserves it.

Aliyah is the sweetest woman. God fearing. If she can get in just a BIT better shape, and get faster/stronger, she is still the future with 22 because theyre the same age. Kelsey is amazing but she may have 3 peak yrs left, maybe? The long term future of indiana is AB and CC so aliyahs growth is very important

Last Game Caitlin said about AB....in the Tunnel to the Camera. Caitlin gave a Heartfelt, genuine , happy smile as she Described how much respect for how AB played her game [Dream] and won the Game. AB is going to be the best Center in the League. As long as she stays with the Fever. She is still learning her "Grove" The Fans would lose it if AB was not at the Center of Respect for the Fever. There is more than one important player in the Fever....But AB is "Critical" ...Just like Kelsey, Lexi and others. AB is a "Total Class Act"

When I hear an Aliyah Boston interview, she sounds like an intellectual. I'm not saying that is unusual for an athlete, it's just that she appears able to replay an entire game in her mind while speaking. I am sure her mental abilities give her a huge advantage in the fast paced game of basketball.

Great video! Boston, Mitchell, Hull, etc. deserve enormous credit for their contributions. I like Boston a lot. First, she comes across as a really nice person. On the basketball side, she's strong, tall, and very effective on the offensive end... and she's only going to continue to get better. She is definitely someone I root for. Actually, I tend to root for whoever hits the big shot or makes a great play. Throughout the year that's included just about everyone. One of the really nice things about this team is the growing camaraderie; it makes them really easy to root for.

NOW they are (at least a big chuck of them) Boston fans,Hull fans,Mitchell fans etc. And last but not least INDIANA FEVER fans. Give it a couple years and it wont matter if even CC is in the league anymore, they will still say Indiana is their team and will stick with them. The other starters all get attention and recognition but, have to be honest Caitlin Clark is most likely going to be the Jordan of the WNBA as popularity goes, to play on a team with her, she help make you the best you can be but you have to check your ego at the door. You have to be about the team and not care of individual awards, cause she doesn’t care about them. Every award she gets this year she’d gladly give to a teammate to win it all.

I came to Caitlin Clark fandom maybe the first week of July, so pretty late in the game. My impression is Aliyah Boston was the first player to get on the same page with Clark. In the games before the Olympic break, they started working that pick-and-roll and began to win. But they were the Fever's only two reliable players. At that stage Kelsey Mitchell was inconsistent. One game to the next you didn't know who would show up. Since the Olympic break she's been lighting it up and people kind of forgot about Boston a little. The recent game against the Dream was a useful reminder.
All of the Fever players are better because of Clark. If Kitt Dunn is going to stay on as GM she needs to start thinking NOW about how to build the team around Clark and Boston. (Including getting a coach who doesn't hobble them.)

The way she’s playing makes them a real contender in my opinion!

Kudos to this analysis addressing the contributions of Fever players other than Caitlin Clark, especially here of Aliyah Boston and also of Kelsey Mitchell. So true that this team has shown more growth and potential than any other in the league over the course of this season. The Fever has the talent to exploit an uptempo pace, especially with the development of fourth and fifth scoring options with 3-point effectiveness from Hull and in the paint from Smith and Fagbenle.

Boston in college had one problem: she suddenly disconnected from the game. I thought it might be physique related, not being in top shape, or not knowing if her contributions were actually a driving force for her team. In several Fever games, same problem, she just disconnects. I did notice, however, something different in the last 3 games. She rises up to meet expectations. She's less than 2 months older than CC, which means they're both incredibly young.
So, here we have 2 rookies which have been showing the moronic pundits at ESPN (and super rabid Geno Auriemma) that this rookie class is absolutely good (even Reese, stats padding aside, is good).
Aliyah will be a force to be reckoned with in the very near future.
As for Kelsey, if she grows her assists, man, she'll be tremendous. A super asset.
Caitlin Clark. She's unique. 3 ptrs, field goals, incredible assists, manipulating defenses, pushing everyone up, blocking, stealing and getting 4 to 10 rebounds a game.
If this weak-minded coach does not sabotage this team, if she bets on Lexi, Temi consistently, the Fever may cause a few surprises. But Sides being Sides, I doubt it.
    EDIT:
    you mentioned Iowa.
Let's see. They had Czinano. She led the whole of college in FGs for 2 consecutive years. They had Warnock, who was terrific in defense, rebounds and field goals and with quite a few 3 ptrs.
Iowa lost both when they graduated.
So, Bluden bet on Stuelke, Goodman, O'Grady.
Aside from CC, Bluder had Molly, Gabby, Martin, all seniors.
On top of those, she had Affolter, Feuerbach, both quite solid. Add to them McCabe with her 3 ptrs, even Giamfy.
So, CC at Iowa had more than just a core of 5 players. Maybe 7 players or even 8 CC and Bluden could depend on.
CC cannot consistently rely on more players other than Temi, Kelsey, Lexi, Aliyah. Smith is NOT on par with Boston, Clarke, Temi or Lexi.
The Fever have a short team.

    • @markyg236
      @markyg236 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Someone like Stuelke is the missing piece, but iirc she's 2 years away. Young(ish) running big who can defend, or at least slow down, A'ja/Stewie/Phee. Have to find her, even if she's in Eur. or Aus. May have to give her Wheeler's $. EW is way overpaid for her contribution, this is last year of max contract, re-sign only with a BIG paycut. Rescue Kate Martin (trade for Smith?) she can back up both Lexie and Mitchell, idk if she ever played point at Iowa. KLS expensive and signed thru next year, don't think they'll find a trade partner for her. Hopefully she loses whatever baby weight she's still carrying and rounds back into form, she was a pretty good spot up shooter. Temi is a UFA, should re-sign her. Dantas has another year, as does Wallace. Berger and Saxton signed thru '26, can either of them earn any playing time? Not a lot of flexibilty at the moment.

The Fever have the Famous Five, which contains the holy trinity AB, KM & C#. Before KM's game went off it was AB offering the points with the under the post game. I think teams got wise to the C# AB game so they had to change it up to the C# KM approach. Now it's more of a which style of offense suits the team the Fever are playing.
Add in Lexie Hull & Temi for The Deadly Duo of defence and you have the Famous Five, with honourable mentions for Erica Wheeler and D Dantas when required. Problem is still Sides rotations and roster choices. And like the thoroughbreds they are they need to be released to play at PACE.

AB has great fundamentals, skills, moves, footwork, awareness, composure, and more. The Boston Screen is a patented move she runs with Caitlin Clark and will soon be running it with others. AB takes on the defense one on one to shoot or create.

Ceo Kana you should go back and watch the first preseason game again. To see how far the team has come with CC. Boston got hit in the back of the head as she was running down the court. CC was throwing passes 3 feet in front of her teammates and there hands couldn't even come up in time lol

CC22 Is so Good she make her teammate way better. in the last two years, 5, and 13. this years surpass that already. CC22 With this three young woman and they have another in the bench Grace Berger. could be the 4 pice. they will be the best team.

I agree 100% about Aliyah, and also Kelsey and Lexie. Cait may be the catalyst that is causing them to rise, but all those assists Caitlin has racked up wouldn't be a stat if they didn't get converted. Cait had a dynamic presence, and when the defense has to focus more on her, that is opening up room for the others to make their own magic. They got a slow start this year until everybody figured out what was working. If everyone stays healthy and keeps their focus I think next season will be even better. I'd like to see Nalisha get some more opportunities; I think she is another diamond in the rough

I'm really happy for the other girls. They are getting noticed. Sure, it was definitely via Caitlin Clark which is why I tuned in. I then 'noticed' that these other girls can play. Aliah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, Lexi, and even the 'bench girls' step in and contribute. It's NOT the NBA but it IS entertaining. I love the fact that the other girls are starting to do the behind the back passes and they are now ready when Caitlin 'calls their number'. They are no longer surprised when the ball suddenly comes their way- they're ready - love it.

That's true, i only knew Candice Parker and Naya Moore back in the days through a commercial of the WNBA but i didn't watch them play because i chose NBA instead.
When i encountered Caitlin Clark playing in college basketball and witnessed her talent and way She is playing, oh my i was captivated and from then i tune to watch up to the WNBA. I now knew a bunch of WNBA now than before!
CC22 is the catalyst and the magnet that attracts the fans yo watch WNBA! Thats fact and ist backed by numbers through a TV ratings, media coverage and people interest..

the thing about indiana vs teams like the suns its like iowa vs south carolina iowa plays fast the suns is pretty slow but they play at the same speed so once indiana gets tired like iowa would in the 3rd and 4th they lose indiana almost always loses in the 3rd quarter or 4th
