If I had a daughter and she told me that happened to her I will be on a war path. Church goer or not everyone has dark secrets that they let loose eventually
Three things are shocking in this context, but sadly true: 1) you're far more likely to get assaulted by someone you know than someone who never saw you before. 2) The same goes for murder. In particular if there has been violence before. 3) People refuse to believe that someone they know and like would do such a thing. Some women even get jealous when their husband assaults someone!
I was floating down the spoon like a lot of us do around here and long story short i ended up pinned under water by my leg because of a piece of rebar in my leg, some real scary stuff that story hit home for me.
seemed fairly easy to follow to me just left alot unexplained like was rick dead at the beginning and he was a ghost was there something in the cavern or was it just a freak accident
@@lunararmy1624agreed, it was simple to follow but there are plot holes in the end. On top of what you mentioned, who called EMS? I wish he would've at least attempted to resolve that part of it. Still enjoyed the story myself!
Story 2. When someone creepy tries to get at you, you call the police. And you tell the parents with the two small children that someone tried to get in, so that they know to be extra careful.
30:00 you should always tell !! He could have came back a different time and caught someone off guard !! Always warn everyone no matter what you think was going on.yall really thought a bear turned on the light?! 🤔😅 48:24
Dawn, your instincts were right. Mr. Thompson absolutely had bad intentions toward you. No upstanding man gets a young girl alone in a car and starts telling her how miserable his marriage is and asking her about her boyfriends. Your mom failed you by brushing off your concerns. If your instincts are telling you something or someone is dangerous, listen. Don't brush that feeling off or let anyone else pooh pooh you.
The plumbing story was frightening and sad. I feel more like it was Rick’s ghost that saved his boss’ life. Does anyone else feel like he should have let Rick stay to help him?
Warning about water: A few inches of running water can flush you down a slope! A foot and electric wiring can become a deathtrap (due to the height of the wiring). Plus, lights may go out and a basement can be a very dark place... Two feet and the water pressure is too big to open a door, if your side has no water. Three feet above the start of a window and the glass breaks.
I have a Top Tier of narrators, Darkness Prevails, Lighthouse Horror, Operation Insomnia, Dead Man Talking(I'm missing a few but those 4 are the ones I keep up with)but DP is the very first narrator I started listening to.
Thats just sickening what that father/husband did. Its his fault why he's unhappy in his marriage. What makes him and others think that its attractive to say to someone else that youre unhappy in your relationship? If someone says that to you, its a reflection of who they are... Selfish and weak
This is why I’m voting for Vivek. Just because your a Christian, doesn’t mean your automatically a good person. Vivek is Hindu, yet he’s 100x more Christian than most self proclaimed Christians
Here I am listening to scary stories but Dawn's story is the one having me scream "AHHH" "Nooooo" " He's a liar" !!!! Also how do we know it wasn't Mr. Thompson that was tapping at that first location!?! True stories are way scarier 😳.
What a horrible parent. Imagine your child calls you saying that some guy they babysat for was making creepy advances on them and your first response was “are you sure?”
The one about the plumber seemed more tragic and sad. But Rick was an saving angel. Kinda like that story of the lady whose car went into the water and ppl could hear her cries. Fireman saved her baby but the lady had drowned. There was no way she was even alive. True story.
To the author of " babysitting encounter", you didn't overreact! I'm so sorry your mom didn't believe it happened.
I agree completely!

I love DP and Tales from the Break room is my fav.
Herniated disk 😢 I've been there as a 34 yr old who has had 4 surgeries I know the pain
Great video as always Darkness!❤ Keep it up
I'll agree 😊
A Darkness upload will always make my day
Awesome! This is just the final push I needed to finish my work shift today, thanks a lot Darkness and happy holidays for you and your family! XD
I hope you're not alone
My good friend who was a plumber had a hunch back before 40.

That first plumbing story was chilling (no pun intended.)
Pls never stop doing this..love it.x
Great job..your awesome narration voice helps on even the average true tales..

"Gasping" is kinda hard to follow, and the characters' actions, or the things that happen to them, don't always make sense. AI?

I make 40 bucks an hour as a plumber.... if you are under paid as one.. find a new company
Story 2. When someone creepy tries to get at you, you call the police. And you tell the parents with the two small children that someone tried to get in, so that they know to be extra careful.
chilling
First story obviously NOT written by a plumber.
Underpaid isn't something usually associated with plumbers, who can make very good money.
Plumbers do make good money especially if theyre union.

First story is so sad but so heartwarming at the same time. Sounds like the ghost of plumber Rick saved his boss.🥹

The first story about the plumbers was quite frightening. Sounds like plumber Rick saved the life of his boss.
Yes, it did.
But was it his ghost, or was Rick alive? 🤔
Did he imagine 😳 🤔 it? The ending was a cliffhanger, that's for sure.😮
RIP Rick, good man.
This story gave me goosebumps.
Scary and sad !
I think a ghost saved him . Either way, I bet you were a changed man . Glad u had a “ friend” and didn’t pass away🙏
Tales From the Breakroom is one of my favorites. Thank you for the episode.
The woman was gagged but mouthed “be careful” how does that make sense 🧐
Plumbers underpaid.Thats a laugh.

Yes. He was nuts to go down and do this alone. I’m sure he felt he had to. But it sounds so dangerous already

That first story was more of a synopsis of this guys’ job/night.
So the new guy just left Rick and the narrator there, despite Rick never coming out?!

Where is this plumber working where he’s underpaid? Where I’m at in the middle of nowhere the only tradesman that make more are electricians lol
The greatest disguise in life a church going man that's married with a beautiful family...

Mr. Thompson was trying to get lucky with the babysitter that night
I feel like there could be a whole sub series of this show "workplace insurance horror stories" 😅

How do you horde animals at a motel, don't they have to come and clean or at least inspect the room from time to time?
