अप्रैल 1984 में तीसरे पहर का सूरज तप रहा था. नई दिल्ली में प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी के निवास 1 सफदरजंग रोड के अहाते में एक सफेद एंबेसडर कार आकर रुकी. चश्मा पहने लंबे कद का एक आदमी कार से उतरा. उसकी पहचान सिर्फ डीजीएस यानी डायरेक्टर जनरल सिक्योरिटी थी, जो रिसर्च ऐंड एनालिसिस विंग (रॉ) में एक प्रमुख अधिकारी था. डीजीएस लिविंगरूम में पहुंचे, जहां इंदिरा गांधी खिचड़ी बालों वाले एक आदमी के साथ विचारमग्न थीं. मोटा चश्मा पहनने वाले 66 साल के रामेश्वर नाथ काव पर्दे के पीछे रहने वाले जासूस थे.
रामेश्वर नाथ काव ने 1968 में गुप्तचर एजेंसी रॉ का गठन किया था. 1971 में बांग्लादेश युद्ध के दौरान रॉ से मुक्तिवाहिनी के छापामारों को ट्रेनिंग दिलाई थी. वह पंजाब समस्या के बारे में श्रीमती इंदिरा गांधी के प्रमुख सलाहकार थे. भारत का यह सबसे संपन्न राज्य दो साल से सांप्रदायिक हिंसा की आग में जल रहा था. तेजतर्रार ग्रंथी जरनैल सिंह भिंडरांवाले के नेतृत्व में सिखों के एक विद्रोही गुट ने जंग छेड़ रखी थी. 37 साल के भिंडरांवाले के हथियारबंद साथी 1984 तक 100 से ज्यादा आम नागरिकों और सुरक्षाकर्मियों की जान ले चुके थे.1981 से भिंडरांवाले अमृतसर में सिखों के सबसे पवित्र गुरुद्वारे स्वर्ण मंदिर के पास अपने हथियारबंद साथियों के घेरे में छिपा बैठा था. डीजीएस ने इंदिरा गांधी को इन विद्रोहियों को दबोचने के लिए एक गुप्त मिशन के बारे में बताया, जो सैनिक हमले से कुछ ही कम था. उनका कहना था कि ऑपरेशन सनडाउन असल में झपट्टा मारकर दबोचने की कार्रवाई है. हेलिकॉप्टर में सवार कमांडो स्वर्ण मंदिर के पास गुरु नानक निवास गेस्ट हाउस में उतरेंगे और भिंडरांवाले को उठा लेंगे. ऑपरेशन को यह नाम इसलिए दिया गया कि सारी कार्रवाई आधी रात के बाद होनी थी.

Operation Blue Star was a military operation carried by the Indian army on the orders of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. It was launched in the premises of Harmandir Sahib or the Golden Temple complex, as it is commonly referred to, in Amritsar to eliminate Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, dubbed a Sikh ‘extremist.’
Bhindranwale had taken refuge at the temple since 1980. In order to capture him and to gain ‘control’ over the Sikh temple, the Congress matriarch is said to have ordered the military action.

You intentionally forget to mention General Subeg Singh's contribution in training Bangla Mukti bahini which resulted in birth of Bangladesh. Operation Blue star was started on the night of 3rd June and not on 5th June which is factually wrong. Òn 5th June tanks entered in Golden Temple premises as Army failed to get a breakthrough. Certain facts are not mentioned correctly but to a extent it was a good attempt to go through this unfortunate incident.

It was Major General Shahbeg Singh who formed and operated Mukti Bahini in Bangla Desh war in 1971 with Pakistan. He was so patriot that during emergency Indra Gandhi ordered him take action against people in Lucknow but he refused on the pretext that he wil not take any action against his own people. But Indra Ghandi had grudge against him. Si she hatched a conspiracy againt Shahbeg Singh that he had embezzled in Mess Ration in cantonment and created environment to dismiss him from army. Later, he was declared unblemished by the Supreme Court but by then lot of water had flown under the bridge. He had joined Bhindrawale as he was humiliated by the Indian Army and country for which he worked hard .
2nd Anandpur Resolution was not meant for breaking the country. It only demands to empower the provincial Govts. and demand to decentralise the powers except Defence, Telecommunications, Currency and Foreign affairs. Can anyone tell that these demands meant for breaking the country when it is for all states.
