I don't know why but it reminds me of the old Call of Duty zombie (WaW, BO, BO2) any great love it and now every time fight Darkeater ill play this as well
Thanks! Yeah, there were no tabs or sheet music available and we really wanted to cover this song. So I wrote it down myself after listening carefully for about a week straight. It's not 100% accurate, but a cover is a cover :) We're a two man band and my mate helped me record and mix this in Cubase.
Thanks! It's called fanned frets, it took some time getting used to but apparently it's a bit more ergonomic for the hands and also improves the intonation a bit.
As a guitar maker myself, I can attest that the Fanned frets are a little more ergonomic, as it follows the direction your wrist usually points your fingers in each position. It also acts like a grand piano, and the lower strings are longer, meaning more tension with the same gauge of string. It's very useful for down tuning for the most br00tal chuggz. This music makes me go into a trance some love day the light etc i rather live at night whats chaos to some is calm to me chaos is my order darkness is my light night is my day at night secrets are revealed
Certainly. Most people will cite Septicflesh and Fleshgod Apocalypse, but I'll go further - Gris, on A L'ame Eflamee, L'ame Constellee. That album is very much composed more like a film score soundtrack, and the two fellows perform all the instruments themselves. Acoustic guitars, cellos, violins, piano/keys, etc etc. Oh, there's Xanthochroid as well, who are excellent, and most would get all in a tizzy if I didn't say something about Wintersun.
Never seen anyone praise so magnificently before
Very good! Also, that praise was magnificent!
the best dark souls 3 boss soundtrack made even better, good job man!
Thank you for this. My favorite song from Souls franchise and u made it sound even better
Wouldn't mind seeing more from you guys.
That guitar is beautiful, by the way.
For how long have i waited for a mindblowing Midir cover? No matter, the wait ended just now!
awesome!!! you should have a look at gael's track its already epic during the fight but an orchestral metal cover of it would be pure bliss.
Late to the party, I know, but what a find! This is absolute heft! Excellent work!!
This is the definition of EPIC!
Incredible cover dude, and that tone!!!

surprised you didn't get lasered to oblivion halfway through the cover
Really really good! Saw it on Reddit, did you really arrange the whole thing by ear? Amazing. Also, what DAW did you record and mix it in?

Nice Cover! Whats up with your frets, they look interesting?
Thanks! It's called fanned frets, it took some time getting used to but apparently it's a bit more ergonomic for the hands and also improves the intonation a bit.
neat, looks cool and sounds great. might give it a try myself :)

I just saw this comment is over a year old. I happened across your cover on Reddit today
So this is what Midir's theme sounds like? I was too busy having my ass beaten 50 times by her to listen to her theme.
Remember us when you get 100k.
Please tell me you're putting this on Spotify or something.
We're thinking adding it as a bonus to our next album Eld that we're working on, so it's not impossible!
Is there a phase two in this?
No, this is only the first phase. I almost killed myself after taking the first part out by ear and arranging it for guitar so I skipped second phase.
Empirine Right then.
Great arrangement, but I think the main melody should outstand more.
You deserve way more views than this
they should put this on modded ds3

Opening sounds almost like a blasphemous track
dude at first I couldn't figure out wtf was up with your guitar lol confused the hell out of me
Is 'Orchestral Metal' even possible?
Metallica- no leaf clover. go listen.
Symphonic Metal is indeed a thing.
Lol why wouldn't it be
Fleshgod Apocalypse
