Asia & BJ, you’ll LOVE his “Lie To Me”!!!!!!! Recorded when he was 15!!! Do the Jonny Lang - Lie To Me (Official Video) Also the title track here “Wander This World”!!
Originally, when he started performing in his early teens, he was called Kid Jonny Lang. Was a blues/rock prodigy. To top it off, a really nice guy too.
Yes, he’s on guitar. He recorded his first album at 16. I saw him back in 2000 at the Alabama Theater in Birmingham AL. Beth Hart actually opened for him! Needless to say it was a great concert 🔥🔥🔥
Actually he recorded his first stuff at 14. He was known as Kid Lang then. I have a cassette of him back then. The sound quality isn't that good, but it's still cool.
@@89801winkI believe the band was called Kid Jonny Lang and the Big Bang and the album was called Smokin'. It had some really good tracks on it. You could tell even then that his voice was made for Blues.
I saw this guy when he was still called Kid Jonny Lang here in Mankato, MN in '97, the night after he opened for The Rolling Stones in Minneapois. Tremendous on the guitar. Checkout Kenny Wayne Shepherd- Deja Voodoo.
Saw this kid back when he was 16ish, opened for Blues Traveler, blew me away! I love watching peoples reactions to singers that I think have the real heart and soul. This kid was blues true and true, almost the next Stevie Ray Vaughn and had heavy blues influences growing up. Kind of like hearing Disturbeds version of Sound of Silence!
Congratulations on hitting 300K subscribers. Jonny saw a Blues band in Fargo when he was 12. Got a guitar from Pop and started getting lessons from the lead guitarist of the band they had seen. A year later he was out on the road during Summer tour with that same band and before the next Summer he was fronting that same band. Played with B.B. King and Buddy Guy and several other Blues bands and guitarists. Has played Eric Clapton's famous 'Crossroads Blues Festival' at least a few times. Has always had that great gritty blues voice, even at 12. I love his music.
I don’t know how him and Beth Hart have both stayed practically unknown when they are two of the best musician/singers out there. Love both of them for 20 plus years. Listen to Lie to me! That’s my fav of Johny’s
Walking away" was my favorite of his back in the 90s.Becca Bramlet was his back up singer. He did do a song written by Ike Turner,Put my clothes in a matchbox"
Try “Lie To Me”. It’s a great Johnny Lang song from about 25 years ago. He was a teenager when he sang that one. The official video of it is a good one. He’s now somewhere in his early to mid 40’s. 😉
Yes, saw him at 16 at a blues festival in California. Another young star at that time was a 14-year old named Corby Yates. Amazing guitarist both of them. Sadly, Corby has passed away.
Jonny actually recorded his first album when he was barely a teen. "Lie to Me" was his second album. He recorded it when he was fifteen. It was released right after he turned sixteen. That 'voice' started to give out on him several years ago. He hasn't played for a while now. There have been no updates on his website in a couple of years in regards to his recuperation.
Johnny is Bad Ass! Been Bad since he was 13!.. His first Band was Johnny Lang and the Big Bang... at this point in time he may not sing again.. He has been at it for over 20yrs now, Hope is with Time his vocals will heal, As of now he is home chilling with his wife and 5 kids.
I drove 70,000 miles a year and traded trucks every 2 years doing construction this was one of my road “CD’s” no joke. Driving about 100mph every where sorry po po statue of limitations ran out years ago lol.

When you guy's react to songs from 80's n 90's I suggest watching the video. Most bands put more money into 1 video than they did producing the whole album. He was only 18 when this was released.
Does anyone know m ow how he's found now? He must be around 40 yrs now? I know his vocal cords were seriously ill.. concerts canceled for a couple years, but I can't find out what is going on with him. I heard he lived a wild life.. way too young.. but that he recovered?? But I pray for him.
You should check out his newer stuff before he blew his voice out. It’s more R&B and Gospel. Shoot, do the live version his cover of Stevie Wonder’s Living for the City

The background vocal is provided by the daughter of the fabulous Bonnie Bramlett.. And yes that is Jonny on guitar.
He's an amazing guitar player along with vocals
Love Jonny! Such a talent and not a bad song on the album. Breakin’ Me was my personal favorite from that particular album though.

There is a real good video that goes with this.
This is a beautiful song but Jonny Lang has so many great songs. If you get the chance try The Darker Side.
Nice review kids👍🏻
Lie to me😂😂😂
The video makes this an entirely different experience!
Watch the official video to see him sing and play.
Lie To Me, do that song next
Jonny Lang can rock the house, a great guitarist from North Dakota no less. No soul singers in the back.
I drove 70,000 miles a year and traded trucks every 2 years doing construction this was one of my road “CD’s” no joke. Driving about 100mph every where sorry po po statue of limitations ran out years ago lol.
