Crappie are the best tasting fish in the lake. No matter if there up north or here in East TN. I love my crappies. Glad to see you guys are as informative as I try to be. Its all about helping anglers be more productive while on the water. Kudos Wired2Fish! From Wired For Crappie.

I know it is different from lake to lake, but would you mind sharing your MegaLive settings and transducer angle when in the forward mode in order to see the fish clearly without much interference/clutter please? Thanks.

Need a boat and fish finder first to find use from this 😅

Does't have to be fancy, but yes, it's a basin offshore tactic, so any kind of boat, kayak, canoe will get it done.

Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone had a boat. It would also be nice if we had some tips on how to catch a limit of crappie from the bank.

Hey there. I would try a 1/64th oz or 1/32nd oz jig head with a smelt gulp minnow..... Or a slip bobber set up with live minnows if possible. So for bank fishing look for a downed tree with green leaves. Use a 10-14ft pole(I like BLM and ACC Crappie Stix) so you can vertical jig. If you see a tree on the bank with lots of leaves and branches you could cut it down to land in the water and return in a month to fish it. I find even if the smaller jigs get caught on branches you can bend the hook out to get your jig back.... Then just bend it back in place. Try under docks too if you can access them by foot. I hope this was a little help. God bless.

@@Captain_Clark_CDoryAdventures thank you sir. It’s frustrating to see all the informational videos geared around electronics and boat access. Bridge pillars any good?

@@ohadam9071 They can be when holding fish. It depends on what water lever the fish are holding. I would start by going to your local bait shop and ask them where folks have been catching crappie from the bank. That's probably the best advice I have given you. I hope you have fun and catch a nice stringer buddy. Greetings from NC. 👍

You might want to learn side imaging. Because it says 45 feet, it doesn't mean it's 45 feet. In this case, the 45 feet was actually about 20feet to the side of your boat.

Chris Christ I’m a bank angler as well and I’ve found that crappies can be shallow and caught from bank even in the fall. River backwaters are very good this time of year as well as docks. Just try fishing slower and find the right depth.

Thanks for the info Cody. It's all good. This video content was geared toward northern states, where many of our panfish dump out into the middle of lakes (we'll be ice-fishing them there in 3 weeks!). There's rarely a fishing situation pertinent to all, but the tactics covered in this vid are boat-based, which I hope was conveyed in the title based on including fish finders. Only some use fish finders, but many do or still want to learn about the capabilities available. Our team of creators strives to cover a wide range of tactics and fishing situations, but we certainly understand that only some content will be relevant to anglers.
