Opp hand was empty, he had only render inert and land. Ok he had a 2 turns clock, but if he didn't block with Tetsuo, Nummy had lethal before him. With no playable in hand, it's a huge risk to not block. Plus, with 2 marshal to defend, even if nummy had nothing in hand, it's not win in 2 turn.
Even if you're holding the two best cards in your deck you should always loot more often than not it will just be clearing an extra land off the top which is exactly what would have happened😅😅
Hey nummy! I had my first IRL draft with this set yesterday and it worked out pretty well, I went 1-0-2 and one of the 2 draws would have been definetly a win because I had a flipped invasion of innistrad. My question is, is there a big difference between the Arena Drafts and the IRL drafts? Especially in the means of drafting the deck, is there anything else I should look out for or can I basically use everything I learned about the arena draft there aswell? Thanks for the video, always very helpful!
One tip in person with this set. Watch the double sided cards your neighbors are picking so that you know what colors are being eaten up so you can pivot
I noticed the other day, that when multi blocking creature on defense; the game no longer places the ordered blocks from left to right. So idk how I am supposed to save my creatures with a spell. I can’t pick knowing what’s getting delt dmg first any more. Anyone else notice this? I am tired of complaining to wotc about the game. Literally every season has multiple bugs. This season if you play that green rare that makes two tokens equal to your lands; well let’s just say if you have many of the duel lands it gets way better. Bc the game will count each duel land as two. This combat ordering really has me ready to not play anymore tho. 🤦
I rolled my eyes so hard at the 3rd pick Tribute while passing a Flourish and Spite that my left eye got stuck looking up. Terrible pick. But great deck.
@sdand937 My only issue with it is he immediately expressed doubt in the pick, and 60 seconds later put it into the sideboard. It was obvious it wasn't a great pick at the time and he confirmed it immediately after He's vastly better at the game than I am, so I have no place to comment tbh. Just my immediate thought.

It’s not an awful pick, tribute has a stupid high ceiling for p1p3. Maybe a little risky to do in a high stakes event but it’s fine here
