For the hold to swap pickup setting its for swapping items not looting so instead of going into your inventory and dropping the item then getting the item you need, you just need to hold interact then it swaps the item your holding with the item that you wanna swap it with. I have it on and its pretty useful.

The hold to swap setting is so that when you want to swap your shotgun for example and have empty slots you hold it do you dont pick up the extra shotgun then swap place a'd drop but directly switch

The settings are honestly really good. I just had to change the edit sense and build sense higher.
