I feel that, especially in mobile when I play lifeline and I rez them with doc and drop my healing drone to heal them, but they just run away from the drone. I especially hate octane players for this reason, their the absolute worse!!! Always getting downed first, never reviving the team when me and/or the other person gets downed, and are always more focused on keeping kills then actually helping us
Fun fact about ashes to ash: in the comics horizon is reading the access code while having a literal death battle with revenant because he doesnt want another simulacrum to experience the pain of existence he feels constantly. Horizon succeeds and when ash wakes up rev says "well i've done all i can do" and leaves.
Edit: when he's about to kill ash she asks "what is this?" And rev says "mercy"

To be fair that's the most selfless act anyone has tried to do in the Apex games, specially coming from Revenant
They’ve done a solid job at giving Rev motivations besides revenge and murder for fun. Him trying to stop Ash waking up is probably the biggest one.

Personal opinion: do not play apex alone when you first started. Play with a friend that actually knows how to play the game and teach you from the start, that will make a whole better experience for you. I mean it seriously. It's not because to make someone to backseat gaming for you or carry you the whole session, it's because apex is such a fast pace game some new players got confused the hell outta their minds and left there alone and this is something that chat can't help you that much, you really need someone to guide you from starting the game, even though this game has respawn mechanic but a battle royal game is a battle royal game. If you boot up the game and do the tutorial session and then have 10 matches last about 2 minutes without getting any kills or any other interaction, the game is like so unfun to play. I played this game since season 3 and this is my conclusion for new players from starting the game and enjoy it properly
Apex is a very hard first fps game and i would know from experience but he has already played fps games before so he should be fine

I have been playing since day one and I agree. There are so many mechanics, weapons, legends tips and trick and so many things all happen so fast. I started my guilds on my yt channel to try to help with that but from hour one beyond I agree entirely. I solo cue all the time but when I play with friends who I know it helps so much. Even just turning on your mic and talking to your randomly can make or break you. Complete the tutorial. Go into the range with a friend have them prep you then jump in arenas and try out legends and weapons and when you feel comfortable, hop in Battle Royal lobbies with friends and you will ah e one of the best experiences of your life. Also not promoting or anything but I make guilds when I can so if they help I would be exited to know I am making a difference if your interested. Besides that take care of yourself and have fun in the apex community brodas

I love fps games so it was not that hard I just had my brother explain things more clearly in a way I understand.
Cool little detail I heard the lead animator talking about, at 20:00 when viper jumps out of the ship to save his daughter he isn’t wearing his jump kit (the little jet pack the legends wear to soften their landing and pilots wore for advanced mobility)
They explained that he wouldn’t of had time to put it on, and he used the titans safety parachute to to save her so he probably wasn’t expecting to survive.
All of the bosses in Titanfall 2 were part of a mercenary group called the Apex Predators, Viper, Blisk, and Ash being the three most notable ones from that group. Blisk was the leader and he’s the one who started the Apex Games in the Outlands using his money from mercenary work. Viper wasn’t literally a “villain” but rather doing a job to get paid. In the end of Titanfall 2, Blisk doesn’t kill you because he’s already been paid and has no reason to kill you because all he cares about is the money. He’s not really the villain side, just working for the villain side because they pay.
And also, don't confuse the Apex Predators with The 6-4
The Apex Predators fight for whichever side pays the most, which means they might also work for the Militia if they paid enough

I would love to get more into the lore, it's annoying how once the chapter/season is over, it's all just gone and I have to go outside the game to look for it all. There should be some archive in the game where I can check all the lore and story parts.
To explain Ash's one...
A simulacrum (like Ash and Revenant) have their human side locked away behind a series of numbers. This was different for Revenant as the glass shard in his trailer had caused a system error, instantly recovering everything he had ever done over the past 300 years
For Ash (this is a gray area for me) when the codes were being spoken out by Horizon, her human side was "coming back" while the robot side that was in control over Titanfall 2 and most behind-the-scenes in Apex Legends realises this and comes to the conclusion (as shown in her Tales) that human Ash is the reason for robot Ash's failures. Now both sides are constantly fighting each other for control over the body
There are some more details but i don't think they're relevant
Revenant is actually a prototype simulacrum, so he operates slightly differently as he is one of the very first developed. Hammond Robotics didnt really know what they were doing at the time, so his source code was in an external unit (his human head) and rather than locking the human self away, they integrated both of them into one, in order to make the transition from human to robot easier for the person, making Revenant perceive himself as a human. Hammond later found out that this caused the simulacrums to go insane, so all later simulacrums are developed to have their human side locked away, rather than actually think they are humans. That's why Ash knows shes a robot the whole time, but doesnt know about her consciousness until Horizon reads the source code.

just to summarize Jack Cooper (protagonist of Titanfall 2) killed both Ash and Viper, Ashs mind was transferred into a new body and Ash and Viper were on a team called the Apex Predators w Kuben Blisk (organizer of the Apex games)

I’ve also got one for death in the apex games. It’s not specified, but in one octane kill quip, he mentions a respawn chamber, so it’s theorized that the legends are linked to respawn chambers that bring them back after being killed in the games
Pathfinder also has another cinematic called the truth which was not Included in the thing you were watching because it’s not stories from the out lands but it’s still a good watch

Love your reacting videos to Apex so i'm here to clarify a little.
1) Death in the Apex games happens. Technically somehow not permanent but it's has been never fully explained for now. Most people speculate that when they fight and die they get "reset" in a clone body, so they still feel the death and pain the got in the game, but they get a new body anytime. That's why it's not something everyone does, and it's considered a punishment for Maggie.
2) I really recommend you to look for Maggie letter she wrote for fuse while she was in prison. It's very good to explain a little more about what happened between Fuse and Maggie. Also you should watch the pathfinder video called "the Truth" where they show how Ash became a simulacrum more in the details and how pathfinder was created basically.

Ok so basically death isn't the only way to lose in the Apex Games. You just need to no longer be able to fight to lose. Pathfinder's "kills" for example are just knockouts.

Ight Kieran heres a basic summary of each SOTO lore.
Valkyrie is the daughter of the apex predator viper. The apex predators are the main antagonists in titanfall 2 and both viper and ash were killed by the main character and his titan.
Ash A.K.A Dr reid was responsible for sending horizon into a black hole and ruining the resource crisis in the outlands. She was killed by wattson's grandma [and or mom dont remember which one] while she also ended up killing her in turn and now she was given the revenant treatment becoming a simulacrum. She was in titanfall 2 but was destroyed and then rebuilt in season 5 of apex
Bangalore and her brother jackson (Yes newcastle) were imc soldiers originally. When gridiron fell they retreated disobeying orders and as you saw from the trailer they were deemed traitors of the imc and are on the run. (However they were caught by the imc and their ship got destroyed separating her and jackson)
Fuse and Maggie's whole relationship was basically mad lad best friends. I'm sure the grenade is just how they show their love for each other salvo style. But when the syndicate took over salvo and Fuse went to join the apex games, she saw that as betrayal.
After jackson was separated from Bangalore he decided to leave everything in the past and go into hiding not knowing his sister was still looking for him. Originally he was responsible for repairing the original Newcastle but now that he put the city in danger jackson has no choice but to take over the original Newcastle's position.
I'm pretty sure that in the Apex Games you die but when the game ends you get revived to play again. So she was sentenced to death by combat like multiple times until they let her leave so like... never. In the newest one Mad Maggie seems to be like guarded and not let out while other legends can do what they want inbetween games so it's like her new type of prison. I think that's what's implied although I'm not sure if it's confirmed canonicly.

You can die in the Apex Games, but most legends prefer not to kill. Caustic and Revenant leave corpses in their wake, whilst Pathfinder canonically has never done more than give an enemy a headache after they get patched up (since medicine is so advanced).

All the Villain Titans got the Apex logo because Apex-Legends got the logo from them.
Blisk had a team in both Titanfalls named The Apex Predators, they were Elite Pilots hired for money, in Titanfall 2 the team were kinda eliminated, so Blisk made the Apex Games to recreate his mercenary team, where only the top Pilots would be able to get in.
The main bad guys from TF2 were a PMC called the 'Apex Predators', who were hired by the IMC Corporation to fight the Frontier Militia. During the events of TF2 the main character; Rifleman Jack Cooper ends up basically assassinating the different members of the AP. So, at the end of the game the leader of AP, Blisk, makes Cooper an honorary member of the PMC. Later on, Blisk decides to change Apex Predator to Apex Legend and turn it into a free-for-all blood sport.

About the legends dying in the games: You can actually die. People like Caustic and Revenant always kill their opponents, while people like Gibraltar and Lifeline usually spare them and just take them out. There was an old deleted voice line (from Octane, I think) talking about respawn chambers. I think it's some sort of 3D printing/cloning thing where you're able to keep your consciousness.
My theory is in the Apex games your body gets teleported upon unconciousness to be healed back to fighting form in case you get called back to fight. Outside the Apex games people die as usual.

Just a comment about ashes to ash: Lillian is wattson’s grandmother, and pathfinders creator. She was working with horizon and ash (Dr. Ried) in creating a sustainable energy source for the outlands to use in their energy crisis.
fun fact: in tye Gridiron story the SOS signal was replied by someone called "Commander Scryer" and someone made 2 yrs worth of content leaks from datamining or whatever found multiple blueprints per say say for new legends and one was coincidentally named "Scryer" which i haven't seen anyone else make this connection

Apex have storylines laid between seasons as comic panels and they also release some side stories to platforms like twitter or steam. All those missing pieces that confuses you are covered in them.
Regarding death in the Apex game's (the in-world competitions) my most reasonable explanation is; participants can die in the games, however the Apex games are not strictly to-the-death. Just think of it akin to real-world bloodsports or cage-fighting, most of the time fights last until an opponent concedes or is unable to continue the fight, which includes dying. Something *I* like to compare it to are things like survival TV shows. The contestants are on their own and are susceptible to injuries, but they always have a medical team behind the camera to treat a contestant if needed to prevent deaths. When a team in the Apex games are eliminated and cannot continue fighting, they could be pulled out and given medical treatment while their loot is left behind.
Part of the reason Gibraltar and Lifeline joined the games were to assist the participants and lower the risk of deaths during matches. Plus, the Apex games are a televised sport; if everyone died, especially the fan-favorites, that could ruin sales and reputations, so It's likely the Syndicate gives certain Legends like Wraith special treatments whenever injured to preserve their fighters, while not giving any assistance to Legends like Revenant or Maggie, since they want them dead.
However, risk of dying in the games are still a thing, and Legends like Caustic and Revenant actively try to kill their opponents, not just defeat them.
And while I cannot say for certain, I believe one of the writers for Apex Legends has confirmed that the events in the season trailers are true to an extent; Loba did blow-up Skull Town in the middle of a Match. Wraith, Mirage, and Pathfinder have been teamed up on several occasions and have saved each other several times. Things like Legends such as Bangalore being fatally shot in many trailers, or Wraith taking Path's and Mirage's respawn banners, are just details played-up for action.
(And though it happened ages ago, like in season 3, I believe a dev has said Octane's line about the Respawn chamber that everyone talks about was made purely as a joke and wasn't meant to be taken seriously. but I think that tweet has since been deleted, so, fck, who knows?)
lastly, heres a bunch of random details about the Legends and the Apex Legends universe!
- Its implied that there are more Legends that participate in the games, which are usually shown as alternate skins in the trailers, but are not important enough or at the same notoriety as the legends we play as and thus are never talked about (basically a way of explaining how large-scale matches occur despite the small pool of playable legends).
- Phase in Titanfall/apex is an in-between-dimension that can be temporarily entered with certain technology. Wraith however, has greater control over her Phasing and the ability to fully enter other dimensions with it.
- When Revenant's coding that masked his true form from himself was broken, Rev's 300 years worth of memories of dying and the simulated pain and emotion that came with them was all remembered in a single agonizing second, which is mostly why he's so pissed off at everything all the time.
- Seer does not actually have any magic surrounding his origin, he was just born under a bad omen; A story that was passed down over hundreds of generations was skewed into a damning prophecy that led him to being an outcast all his life, and how he's a popular fighter in underground-areas being known for representing the outcasts of society.
- Before the Apex games existed, Blisk was the leader of the most ruthless mercenary group in the frontier; the Apex Predators, but after the Predators were killed in Titanfall 2 and the war ended, Blisk when on to help create the Apex games, which has since grown far beyond Blisk's command, though receiving a invitation card from him is still valid qualification to become a Legend.
- Valkyries father Viper was a notorious Titan Pilot mercenary known for being ruthlessly efficient and she always aspired to be like him, even growing up to be a renowned ship-pilot. But after her encounter with Blisk, she came to realize her father never wanted her to follow in his own footsteps, and she choose to join the Apex games to carve her own legacy.
- Ash was a Pilot mercenary like Viper, and was actually rebuild after her death by a company called Vision Dynamics, where she became their military Commander. Sometime after that, Ash and Blisk met up again and Ash was destroyed again. Loba and the other Legends rebuild Ash for Hammond Robotics, Ash then left and began to run the Arenas for the Syndicate, before joining the games as a Legend after Horizon woke Ash's original consciousness which had been dormant since she became a Simulacrum.
- Ash and Revenant are very different kinds of Simulacrums; Rev was one of the first successful Sims, but his living head is kept in remote locations while it controls bodies. Modern Sims like Ash have a chunk of brain tissue within a heavily protected part of their heads that houses their consciousness, and the rest of the body is primarily or entirely robotic.
- Alien stuff does exist in Apex / Titanfall, kind of. Alien temples / structures and an inexplicably large number of habitable planets with very similar plants and animals are all over the frontier / outlands, implying that some form of spacefaring Aliens likely existed before humans colonized space, though little to no lore has actually been explored regarding it.

Her evil personality, Ash, didnt want Leigh to stay in a new simulacrum. So Leigh is a good side, but Ash betrayed her. (Sorry for my bad English, im russian)

Fun fact; in Gridiron, both the guy who put down Bangalore and the guy her and Jackson fight are Pilots: they are highly skilled soldiers who are trained to pilot Titans. And the player character is also a Pilot in Titanfall 2, making Bangalore and her brother the equivalent of NPC enemies in that game. They were IMC grunts, the same kind of NPCs you gun down effortlessly. That's what they were up against.

New stories from the outlands came out this morning. It’s for Lifeline and Octane
Respawning/Regenerating technology is canon in the Titanfall/Apex universe. As a pilot in Titanfall 1 the Regeneration cut scene essentially takes you through an entire reboot process for your body. You lose your "memories" (aka rank) but are a higher "Generation" which is essentially the same as prestige in COD. Also Octane's voice line about the "Respawn Chamber" is probably related.
Can we talk about how the voice actor for this guy or Mob boss, whatever his name at 4:33 is the same actor who played Dempsy from cod zombies, he sounds like the Primis version of him.

About your question as to how death works, apex legends takes place around 2600-2700 so technology is pretty advanced and I'm pretty sure either revival from the dead or really advanced medical technology, it's never completely explained.
To explain how the games came to be basically:
In TF1 blisk[the guy in valkyries]was in a high command position highered by the imc because he specialized in military combat as the militia you basically slowly beat them and push back the imc checkpoint to checkpoint until you get to the imc fuel station and blow it up without their resources the imc would take years to be able to travel through space from earth because that fuel station was their source for lightspeed.
Blisk then goes into hiding until TF2 where he's hired by the IMC to basically assist with the war. He created the Apex predators, a mercenary group made up of elite pilots like himself, Ash, viper, etc. Even though they were the villians in the game they're really just guns for higher basically, so they work for the highest bitter which is proven in the end (wont spoil it cause its a solid shot campaign and i recommend it, but you should definitely watch a tf1 breakdown before going into it) after the imc lose and blisk loses all his mercenaries in the war he retreats and goes into hiding for a bit.
Now pre apex, he fought in the gauntlet for money and then decided to open up a battle royale style of game. The issue with with the games though where that the matches would last days because people feared dying so him and the syndicate higher wattsons father to create a machine that would push people into one another in order to fight.(sidenote: wattson comes up with it using a old scientist who happens to be Gibraltars grandfathers notes and basically comes up with the idea of using a version of their force field. One bigh one around the surviving area and a small one that gets smaller as time foes by trapping a typer of heat that would only effect the competitors not the wildlife or plants. While shes doing this wraith is wandering not knowing where she is or who she is and she actually finds a old man yelling for natalie[wattson] and assumes that he might be yelling for her. But too nervous to approach him she basically wanders around and ends up spying on wattson while shes talking about the field of energy that would hurt people she then yells at wattson with only a portion of herself sticking out of her portal assuming that she means to hurt the old man, wattson then leaves and runs to her dad and says she saw a wraith[like a ghost] so wraith not knowing the name indirectly was named thay by wattson.
Alright back to the games agter the bubble felt like a success they [either blisk or the syndicate; they're kind of in a partnership] want to grow the games and have it broadcast to all the planets in the outlands thats where they hired crypto basically and he created the spectating drones which eventually lead into his cutscene.
The famous people that won alot of games basically became known as the apex legends kind of a play on his apex predators thing. There's try outs too which you can tell by newcastle and forges/revnants trailer that you basically have to get passed in order to join the games unless you're personally invited by blisk [for example: rampart/valk]. This is also proven in cryptos lore/letter where you find out the tower knocked down in the s2 or s3 trailer was caused by crypto to distract the syndicate while he hacked and registered in the games in order to skip the try outs.
I know kevtheking has alot of speculation lore around apex thats actually really well explained that you'd have to dig through.
Theres alot more lore but this is a solid chunk of it revolving around the apex games itself.
About death in Apex : there is one Octane line in game where he says "go back to the respawn chamber". So they do have a way to escape death by respawning in that chamber, but they still get hurt and feel the pain.

For the Gridiron video, that person who could go invisible with his armor is called a “pilot”. They’re super soldiers in titanfall 1 & 2. Bangalore and Newcastle were imc grunts which weren’t anything special. Just normal soldiers. It was essentially a bad captain America losing to two normal soldiers.

The Apex Predators were a mercenary group active during the frontier war paid by the IMC. Viper was killed by Jack Cooper (main character during titan fall 2) in the war. Blisk, leader of the apex Predators, revived the old blood sport of the Apex Games
Viper was part of the Apex Predators which were just a group of mercenaries the IMC hired. In a way they were evil but in reality they just did what job paid the bills.

42:48 they've actually explained this before. When you die in the apex games they actually respawn all who have died with the respawn banners. That's not an in game scenario the banners are real revives. Either that or theres some other device that brings them back. Outside the games if you die then your dead for real.

I’ll just say this “death” is the most ambiguous thing in the Apex Lore and realistically they haven’t found a way to explain it through the lore. For now, people just get injured really badly. Death, at least amongst the legends isn’t canon. Also, the legends we play aren’t the only ones in the games. Just the ones we play. Hundreds of everyday people can compete. However the legends we play are the top tier contestants who often win. Those people probably die. But the legends usually leave the arena by being too injured to continue. Maggie is supposed to be killed for her sentence but she’s actually good so she’s been avoiding actually dying.
You should watch the "pathfinders quest log" cinematic in surprise it didnt show up on the playlist. It links pathfinder, ash, wattson, and Gibraltar.
Regeneration is a thing that is cannon within the Titanfall Universe. The process isn't exactly explained, but it does as the name implies, it regenerates the subjects body to a healthy or improved state (at the cost of memory, at least that's how they explained it in Titanfall). Syndicate could provide the tech for the legends to allow them to respawn.
There is also the multiverse theory, since Wraith exists, but eh.

My theory is that the legends don't die in the games, they just get hurt. The advanced tehnology that they have heals them in seconds, just like Lifeline does. Some might die, but I tink the legends are skilled enough not to.

The guy with the green glasses isn't Octane's Dad it's Octane's Grandfather. Apparently he uses a similar stim that octane uses to preserve him from aging. The lore was just recently revealed last season.
Im pretty surr its his father, because octane says "papa?" in magie's trailer and he had comic with his dad in season 10 i think
@@nejima4488 that is true but in the season 12 weekly lore comics (which takes place after what you are referring to) there was something suspicious about octane's "dad's" birth certificate or something and octane confronts him about it and then octane's "dad" confesses by referring to himself as octane's Abuelo, which means grandfather in spanish.

She is standing on a piece of that planet behind her, name Typhon. In Titanfall 2 you fight and kill her father Viper in his Stryder class Titan named Northstar. His(my personal favorite) helmet, and his wrecked Titan being the only remnant of him left.
Also, the only reason he's an Apex Predator is because he needed to make money for his family. Does he regret all the lives he took? Maybe, but at least he was a good dad. When he left, he went off to fight in Titanfall 2's campaign. Meeting his fate, at the hands of Jack Cooper, the character you play as in Titanfall 2.
In fuzes video the grenade dosent explode cuz if you pull a pin on the grenade but hold the lever its not charges yet the pin is like a fire extinguisher pin except you gotta hold the lever when you pull the pin on a grenade as itll pop out auto style second pin is pulled n prime itself to explode soon
