Unfortunately, after I applied at the Germania Mint site, I received a nice email responsee advising me that their coins are only sold to dealers. You must provide the shop's name EIN (tax) number and either a web or FB shop page which must be verified; all part of a 4-page, extremely thorough application procedure. Dang it! lol

I don't do what I do to make me rich. Some other TH-cam channels get paid $9000 for a sponsored video, I do things that interest me and if this company wants to send me a 1 oz coin for a fair review, great.

I guess some dealers do get the coin and capsule version only, which makes it cheaper. Because only that card alone, can equate to 20 to 30% of the total cost of the coin.
Make the knight on the front bigger and place a sword in front and the coin could be the pommel end. And they could make the coins in different shape pommels. Or just make the knight bigger so not as much is showing on the front place the sword on the front and just have a round pommel end on the sword. No pun Inteded with the "round" pommel infront.
Two small corrections: -This is indeed the first COIN that GM announced, but actually they started selling the Paris Notre Dame Niue coin before. That coin was hard to miss though with a mintage of only 500. -The 2oz version of this coin isn't actually a proof, but gilded BU.

@@BackyardBullion I'm missing something sorry. I am in the U.K. and since Brexit when I have bought from dealers in the E.U. directly or even via. eBay I'm charged 20% VAT by the U.K. Government.
So, from experience it's about 50% when ordering from Europe whether you get charged tax. There is too much for royal mail to deal with and sometimes they dont charge

This week I've succumbed to a £50 denominated commemorative 1oz silver britannia coin. I paid denominated face value, just because of the design. If I get desperate I can always fill up a half a tank of diesel with it..... can't I?

Yes! I absolutely agree, and I have seen the 2 oz antique gilded coin itself. Only the sword that the knight is holding, is gold gilded.

Vat free if you buy it and it does not get charged when imported to the UK, yes. Also Vat free if you are based in an EU country and buy

Yes, so for a UK buyer it is VAT free but you will be charged VAT on import. If you are ordering from a EU country it is VAT free

The coat of arms of Malta did justice to the coin. Anything less than 1 oz of gold, will jeopardise the details of the coin.
