I've been continually admiring your Carl Friedrik leather items since all your previous vids, but today after watching I thought 'you know what let me treat myself'- so I've just purchased their keyholder + your unico watch case!! I'm excited for them to arrive. Thank you TGV, for the inspiration & motivation to always remember to appreciate things that bring joy to our life. 🙏

What a rich and storied assemblage...as always, it’s been a pleasure to see a little glimpse into your world through your possessions. This time last year, I was a “multitool, pry bar, flashlight, micro mini first aid kit (yes, really), house key, car key, all-on-a-carabine key chain guy. Today, I put the car key and the house key on a nautical lock (one of those things shaped like the omega symbol) and called it a day. If I have need of any more than my keys, the pry bar, and the fixed blade knife which I wear sideways on my belt, I’m very likely only a short walk away from my car anyway, where I have full size tools ready to go. Really, the flashlight was the only difficult loss, but a dip in the laundry made the decision for me.
I've had a pair of Sure 425 IEM's for about 6 years now, can't beat them for listening, mixing, working out, EVERYTHING! Expensive comparatively, but 100% quality, no hype.
The knife I carry often costs 10X more than the watch that I wear! Perhaps, I am more of a Rural Dude than an Urban Gent. Love your EDC. The leather pieces are excellent!
I managed to snag an ludt with a serrated edge and stonewashe blade. I use it every day at work. Also rocking an islander dive watch that has taken a beating without a hiccup. :D
You’d think one of these watch guys would buy a Sebenza and be done with it since they’re so obsessed with mass produced “luxury” goods. Just Blue Balls Watch Reviews could have bought one Chris Reeves knife for the price of his Speedmaster clasp, lol. They need to “stop wasting their money on affordable pieces.”
I was just thinking the same thing. I found the channel last spring, fell down the EDC rabbit hole one night, and have been coming back every week since.
As a Texan who has moved back to the UK, the biggest change this year is the EDC pocket knife. No locking blades allowed here (for general EDC) so back to the little gentleman's 3 blade Buck knife. Honestly, it truly is all you reeeaallly need. Do I miss a 'real' knife? Of course! But it does the job, and elegantly.
I did make a change in my EDC this year. I switched to a Leatherman Squirt PS4 and changed out my handkerchief for a proper bandana. Serves the same purpose but is large enough to be worn as a mask if needed.
The YETI thermos or anything from yeti is great. The quality is amazing and will last a lifetime. Keeps drinks at the same temperature they enter in even after hours or even DAYS have past. Highly recommended
Seriously TGV I look forward to your videos every day I get excited when I finish work to go home and sit down with a glass of red my favourite watch and to watch your videos nothing gets me more relaxed then listening to you talk in depth about horology Never Change. buon amico 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
EDC Time! Excited to see the 3 most worn as well 😀. My top 3 in the rotation currently are Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph, Zenith El Primero, and Casio G- Shock. Thank you for putting out great content all the time!
WOW, what a top 3 to have in rotation, pure class all the way!!!!! VERY VERY cool indeed. What more can you need?!?!? Thank you my friend, Best regards, TGV
I love your Tudor with the blue strap. Personally, i have never liked Tudors diamond hour hand. But i have always loved the retro non-ringed hour markers of the old Tudor/Rolex watches......."Beautiful watch."
TGV your EDC is awesome and your choice of knives is especially good. The Benchmade Mini-Griptillian is, in my opinion the best tactical blade ever made and Case makes the best pocket knives for the money by far. Great video!!
Good stuff. I first got into knives before watches and am a tiny bit of a knife snob, although largely because I've broken many cheap knives and lost much sentimental value because of that. In an aim to have something I could build memories with for decades I started to elevate my standards. If I may, id like to turn you on to Lionsteel and Chris Reeve. They have some very elegant, high quality pieces. I personally own a Lionsteel TRE in titanium and M390 and love it. My current EDC is work focused and more rugged though, consisting of an SOG Pentagon Elite in VG10 steel, Deep Blue Daynight Titanium, Victorinox Manager, Nitecore MH20GT, Nitecore Thumb, and a handmade leather wallet my family bought for me on their Peru expedition. The knife and watch are swapped for my Hamilton Khaki and Lionsteel TRE when I'm not working, and the MH20GT deleted for just the Keychain Thumb light.
Really good content, love the videos! What i think you do right, is you keep it realistic. You don’t go flashing +50k watches that are unattainable to 99% of the population. Most youtubers fall in the trap of losing track of why they started it. Keep up the good work, you are doing great!
Congratulations, you will be very pleased . The Colt is built like a tank yet wears very comfortable. I own a Colt 41 in Blue and it’s one of my favorite in my collection. Enjoy it!
Where do you put all that stuff?! On another note, I popped this video up on the television to watch, and man that intro looks stellar on the big screen! All the best! 👍
I'm a benchmade fan. I have a small handful. And I used them every day in my work on the farm. But since the beginning o the year I have switched it up. I realized that for 99% of my cutting, I needed a box cutter. I settled in the Resolute X-1 and the Exceed designs Tirant. Both are titanium-framed. One is a slider the other is a flipper and is sized similar to my Benchmade Bailout. Plus I don't have to take them the benchmade factory to get it sharpened. ;-) I still have a drawer full of benchmade. But after being honest with myself and realizing the reason I had benchmades and not a box cutter is because I wanted to feel cool. So I found the coolest box cutters I could and life is peachy.
@@brighammmer I keep a box cutter in my bag (Big i Designs Slide) and still carry a “regular” knife in my pocket. Box cutters are very practical and small but I cut and eat an apple every day at work and I just can’t do that with a box cutter covered in tape glue.
I didn’t hear TGV claim that he carries everything all at once. For me, this serves as an example of stuff you can pick, choose, mix and match from depending on the situation(s) you expect to encounter. Probably don’t need a multi tool at a wedding, might want to grab a bigger, brighter “tactical” flashlight when I go on a late night walk, today I’m feeling like this knife over that knife. Really the same thought process as picking out what you’re going to wear for the day.
I sold sold both my Explorer and Speedmaster just last week. I’m sure I’ll own another one eventually, but for whatever reason it just didn’t get any wrist time.

EDC videos give me life lol. I just added a new solar G shock to my watch collection. and for knives I just bought 3: the Buck 110 folder, the 119 fixed blade and the Old Timer Sharpfinger. All my other EDC gear has stayed the same.
You might want to check out the Kamp King pocket knife. It used to be the pocket knife for Boy Scouts but the company is gone now, so you'd have to get it second hand. I love mine and even buy them here and there for family and friends.
Isn't it crazy how TGV gets perfect combinations a lot of times? I straight up fell in love with the flightmaster on the ndc strap the moment i saw it for the first time
I absolutely love the Fisher Space Pens, but I prefer the “bullet” style because they are so small when closed, yet “weighty” and full-sized when open.
Great video as always TGV!!! I as always Love your hip hop intro! It adds flare to your channel more than it already has! Side note! You should do a video on the Bulova Hack Watch VWI (Veterans Watchmaker's Initiative.) I’ve got a Squale 1521 Blue Ray coming for my 21st and I got into the brand on the back of your videos I watched when I was 15! Best wishes, Henry
Hey TGV, I know I’ve said this before but in case you haven’t seen my previous comments I’ll say one more time. 😁 You should really check out GEC (Great Eastern Cutlery), and Chris Reeve Knives. Both American companies producing quality knives. I think you’d really appreciate both for different reasons. GEC is a company producing traditional & slip joint style knives which are very classy, and well built. Similar to Case, but with more limited numbers and a bit more collectible. I guarantee you will love their products. Chris Reeve is a South African gentleman who moved to the US and started making folding knives. He invented the frame lock mechanism, which has been used and copied by almost every major knife manufacturer in existence today. The knives they produce are considered the benchmark for high end folding knives and there are many limited versions to choose from if that’s your thing. I’d recommend to you the Mnandi, or the Inkosi. You gave me the watch bug, and I hope I can give you the knife bug. Have a fantastic evening sir.✌️
Thank you Landon, I appreciate you reminding me, I am extremely forgetful so it really helps. Off to the website now, sound very interesting. Have a great evening too. Best regards, TGV
@@theurbangentry also, knife snobs are a lot like watch snobs. I say carry what you like, and what works for you. The best knife is the one that’s in your hand when you need it.😁
This personalised Squale diver is a killer ! Wearing my new Freese ´53 and love it !! Watches and TGV make me happy. O.K. , Hugo is a class of his own !
Thanks for sharing! Love the watch case. I've been using bone conduction headphones from Aftershokz and I love them! Not noise cancelling but great if you need to be aware of your surroundings.
Hi TGV And what slides out of that watch case? A beautiful Omega Speedmaster. You really are in the process of rebuying one, aren’t you😆 Keep up the good work👍
We actually both carry two near identical pieces of kit! I have a black victorinox sd classic, and a grey Gerber shard. The sak. lives on my person and the shard lives on a carabiner attached to the top side loop on my Maxpidition Falcon 2 backpack. I usually carry an extra watch or two in my pack as well. My edc is all centered around living off my motorcycle.
Great video as usual! Thank you. First watch channel that got me into the watch world and your still have the best intro. Love your content. Also... Would like to see that drum and bass playlist?
Always interesting to see what other people consider their essential every day carry!, I live in the UK so no knife (but if I did it would be a Swiss Army), I'd also go for a Mini Maglite, Kent Comb, Parker Jotter and obviously a face mask and hand sanitizer these days!.
TGV, any way you can talk Carl Friedrik into making their watch straps in a 22mm lug width!? I bought my unico watch case recently and I LOVE the leather, and I would love it even more in a strap for my favorite watch! Thank you sir.
Hi, another great video! Info: "kompoloi" is considered the opposite of the watch (at least for greeks) because is used for relaxation or thinking and not paying attention to the passing of time. Looking forward for your next video 👍
I love the Ran poster TGV. I watched it for the first time last year during lockdown. It's like Kurosawa found a real war going on and filmed it. BLEAK ENDING. Great video as always.
Hi TGV, I hope you're doing well. Thanks for the video, from my side my main EDC are obviously a watch, a paire of glasses 🕶 (persol of course), a wallet, keys and a phone, I do have other stuff such as bracelets, knife and so on but I don't carry them even my weeding ring 😁 By the way, I wonder how you manage to carry all those things during summer, as I do struggle to take my simple wallet, phone, keys with less pockets available? So I do use a small satchel but I would prefer to don't do so. Thanks and cheering from France Farid
Feeling under the weather this week but these videos really help me to relax. Really like that Carl Friedrik second watch carry. (And the 3861 speedy inside :-)
Great video my friend! So my EDC consists of the G27, the knife varies but today it is the Microtech Ultratech, CRKT pen, Leatherman Juice S2, Fenix LD30(I believe; 1600 lumens!), leather front pocket wallet and always have some nice sunglasses! Cheers!!
Thank you for creating this content, it really got me interested in watches and my first one just arrived, a seiko 5 "root beer" bottle cap. Keep up the incredible work.
If I can make a recommendation TGV, you should purchase a Benchmade 940 Osbourne (specifically in green). It is a flawless knife and pairs well with a diver on a parachute style nato. I get so many compliments, you need to get your hands on one!
You mentioned the Dürer painting, but the biggest German classic here is actually the tiny little Langenscheidt. Though the knife is a little bit too much mid-50s alpine forester for my taste. :-P
I ordered the Dan Henry 1962 panda yesterday after watching your excellent review. Completely forgot about the new, post Brexit, UK import duty fees though, no free delivery to UK anymore either!
I really wish you would do a video about best vintage watches for people with large wrist. I love the look of vintage watches, but I can't pull the trigger because I can only seem to find 39mm or less. I have an 8" wrist so a 40mm is as small as I can go without looking ridiculous.
TGV, I have recently upgraded my EDC with a new vintage purchase. Have you ever heard of the Voumard 2000, it is a 1970's manual-wind? I need to get it serviced to get a new main spring, so that it can manually wind properly. Do you have any advice for who could service this as too those I have reached out to cannot seem to help (I do not know the maker (company) of the watch)?
Hello TGV, you knife taste is pefectly fine, I'm sorry that the knife community has responded badly to your tastes. I have a lot of knives in my collection that are not of my taste and/or very badly built that i would never throw away. Knives often have stories which can make it invaluable in the eyes of the owner which is why it is often a very bad idea to criticize it. Also, everyone's taste is different !
Check out the omega speedmaster 38 coaxial chronometer tgv! It's basically the new speedy reduced! It will fit your wrist perfectly! Plus it's automatic!
TGV, having handled a piece from both brands, would you recommend Sinn or Ball for a first real watch? I was looking at the Ball Fireman Enterprise and the Sinn 556. The only catch is that I think it’s too much of a premium to upgrade to a bracelet on the Sinn, so I would buy it on a leather strap. Which do you suggest? Much appreciated, Nick S
Hi Nick, Well, you are already off to a flying start, both great great brands and so many underrated models from each. In my most humble opinion, I would lean more to the Sinn, Ball are amazing, but the resale if you change your mind on the Sinn is stronger, plus I feel it's more of a do it all versatile piece, but the is IMO, go with your heart. Thank you and happy hunting, Best regards, TGV
Watch guys can be pretentious, but watch guys are the worst. One of my least favorite bits of watching a watch channel are _idiot_ watch savants fawning over and slipping and sliding in a pool of their own cum over a luxury watches. I like watches but I don’t like “watch guys.” They’re the biggest POS hobbyists I’ve ever had the displeasure of interacting with.
I had them both. The Diplomat Aero (black) had some discoloration on the grip section after 1-2 years of use. I never had such issues with the Lamy 2000.

Hey TGV, I know I’ve said this before but in case you haven’t seen my previous comments I’ll say one more time. 😁
You should really check out GEC (Great Eastern Cutlery), and Chris Reeve Knives.
Best regards,
TGV
@@theurbangentry also, knife snobs are a lot like watch snobs. I say carry what you like, and what works for you. The best knife is the one that’s in your hand when you need it.😁
Sometimes I watch your videos just for the cool intro :)
I'm considering to change my SKX009 for a Turtle, should I do it?
These intros never get old!
This personalised Squale diver is a killer ! Wearing my new Freese ´53 and love it !! Watches and TGV make me happy. O.K. , Hugo is a class of his own !
Like when you do these! Very nice! Love the multi-tool skeleton. Have had mine for about 4 years and still use it.
Thanks for sharing! Love the watch case. I've been using bone conduction headphones from Aftershokz and I love them! Not noise cancelling but great if you need to be aware of your surroundings.
Hi TGV
And what slides out of that watch case? A beautiful Omega Speedmaster. You really are in the process of rebuying one, aren’t you😆
Keep up the good work👍
LOL no comment!!!!
Thank you Kjeld, you know me too well.
Best regards,
TGV
We actually both carry two near identical pieces of kit! I have a black victorinox sd classic, and a grey Gerber shard. The sak. lives on my person and the shard lives on a carabiner attached to the top side loop on my Maxpidition Falcon 2 backpack. I usually carry an extra watch or two in my pack as well. My edc is all centered around living off my motorcycle.
Great video as usual! Thank you. First watch channel that got me into the watch world and your still have the best intro. Love your content. Also... Would like to see that drum and bass playlist?
Some great EDC's. As always your taste is impeccable 👌. Great video 👍
Thank you Chris!!! :D
I hope you are well my friend.
Best regards,
TGV
Sandisk Sansa Clip+ in these days? You truly a man of culture
Great EDC TGV! Stay healthy and well! Nick
Always interesting to see what other people consider their essential every day carry!, I live in the UK so no knife (but if I did it would be a Swiss Army), I'd also go for a Mini Maglite, Kent Comb, Parker Jotter and obviously a face mask and hand sanitizer these days!.
Your benchmade goes well with speedy and Tudor. The case knife goes well with your Daydate…maybe add Civivi for your Casio.
I love your EDC and clothing/jacket videos, well done and thank you
TGV, any way you can talk Carl Friedrik into making their watch straps in a 22mm lug width!? I bought my unico watch case recently and I LOVE the leather, and I would love it even more in a strap for my favorite watch!
Thank you sir.
Hi, another great video! Info: "kompoloi" is considered the opposite of the watch (at least for greeks) because is used for relaxation or thinking and not paying attention to the passing of time. Looking forward for your next video 👍
Great video, that squale is sweet great classic style 🤙🏻
I love the Ran poster TGV. I watched it for the first time last year during lockdown. It's like Kurosawa found a real war going on and filmed it. BLEAK ENDING. Great video as always.
Hi TGV,
I hope you're doing well.
Thanks for the video, from my side my main EDC are obviously a watch, a paire of glasses 🕶 (persol of course), a wallet, keys and a phone, I do have other stuff such as bracelets, knife and so on but I don't carry them even my weeding ring 😁
By the way, I wonder how you manage to carry all those things during summer, as I do struggle to take my simple wallet, phone, keys with less pockets available? So I do use a small satchel but I would prefer to don't do so.
Thanks and cheering from France
Farid
Feeling under the weather this week but these videos really help me to relax. Really like that Carl Friedrik second watch carry. (And the 3861 speedy inside :-)
Sorry to hear that Guy, I how you feel better soon.
My thoughts are with you my friend.
Best regards,
TGV
Great video my friend! So my EDC consists of the G27, the knife varies but today it is the Microtech Ultratech, CRKT pen, Leatherman Juice S2, Fenix LD30(I believe; 1600 lumens!), leather front pocket wallet and always have some nice sunglasses! Cheers!!
started to wear a second watch on my right wrist, a Tandorio Captain Willard on a rubber strap
Thank you for creating this content, it really got me interested in watches and my first one just arrived, a seiko 5 "root beer" bottle cap. Keep up the incredible work.
CF, surely a watch strap collab needed. 👍🏻🏴😎
Really looking forward to this episode :)
If I can make a recommendation TGV, you should purchase a Benchmade 940 Osbourne (specifically in green). It is a flawless knife and pairs well with a diver on a parachute style nato. I get so many compliments, you need to get your hands on one!
The 940 would work well with you explorer on the nato
Thank you, deffo going to check it out. I'm on the Benchmade website, it looks ruddy cool.
🙌🙌🙌💸💸💸💸
Best regards,
TGV
You mentioned the Dürer painting, but the biggest German classic here is actually the tiny little Langenscheidt.
Though the knife is a little bit too much mid-50s alpine forester for my taste. :-P
Thank you my friend :D
Best regards,
TGV
I ordered the Dan Henry 1962 panda yesterday after watching your excellent review.
Completely forgot about the new, post Brexit, UK import duty fees though, no free delivery to UK anymore either!
I really wish you would do a video about best vintage watches for people with large wrist. I love the look of vintage watches, but I can't pull the trigger because I can only seem to find 39mm or less. I have an 8" wrist so a 40mm is as small as I can go without looking ridiculous.
Watching this looking at my own Dan Henry 1962 on my desk!
Great video TGV! Is the Stone Island piece you're wearing a coat or a half zip? Would love to know which model it is.
My favourite type of videos!
Excellent. Looking forward to this. 😎🙂
TGV-you are correct about the strong preferences in the knife world. Take a look at Spartan Blades, Emerson, and Toor.
Also, Microtech LUDT is a nice one to carry every day.
Check out the omega speedmaster 38 coaxial chronometer tgv! It's basically the new speedy reduced! It will fit your wrist perfectly! Plus it's automatic!
Cool episode luv it 👍👍
TGV, having handled a piece from both brands, would you recommend Sinn or Ball for a first real watch? I was looking at the Ball Fireman Enterprise and the Sinn 556. The only catch is that I think it’s too much of a premium to upgrade to a bracelet on the Sinn, so I would buy it on a leather strap. Which do you suggest?
Much appreciated,
Nick S
Hi Nick,
Well, you are already off to a flying start, both great great brands and so many underrated models from each.
In my most humble opinion, I would lean more to the Sinn, Ball are amazing, but the resale if you change your mind on the Sinn is stronger, plus I feel it's more of a do it all versatile piece, but the is IMO, go with your heart.
Thank you and happy hunting,
Best regards,
TGV
Yes! We in the knife world are more than capable of truly epic levels of snobbery!
Oh shit, hey Slicey!👋🏻😁
Watch guys can be pretentious, but watch guys are the worst. One of my least favorite bits of watching a watch channel are _idiot_ watch savants fawning over and slipping and sliding in a pool of their own cum over a luxury watches. I like watches but I don’t like “watch guys.” They’re the biggest POS hobbyists I’ve ever had the displeasure of interacting with.
That’s what I like about TGV. He’s not too proud to sing the praises of a $15 digital tool watch.
Got into fountain pens this year and added a Lamy 2000.
Look into the diplomat aero it’s amazing from another fountain pen lover
I had them both. The Diplomat Aero (black) had some discoloration on the grip section after 1-2 years of use. I never had such issues with the Lamy 2000.
Wish I’d been on the ball enough to snap up one of those TGV Squales...so practical and versatile.
Thanks for the great video, TGV! What is the name of the bracelet that you show at 9:50 ? Could not find it anywhere. Greetings from Switzerland
