This breaks my heart for her. She is basically treated like a doormat by him and pretty much everyone around her. Everything is on his terms, he doesn’t think of her or consider her feelings. 2:16 his audacity to berate her and call her stupid for not trusting him is insane! How dare he talk to her like that after all he has done to break her trust? Of course she does not trust him enough to open up-he hasn’t earned that or shown her that he cares about her. He basically blamed her for getting pregnant and messing up his life. He has been pursuing Anna throughout his marriage to Jiaxin. He has treated her like an incubator for his baby that he plans to raise with Anna and exclude Jiaxin from their lives. He used her and his unborn baby to try to get an endorsement from her OBGYN doctor. When exactly did he earn her trust?
Spoilers:
It is SO satisfying later in the drama for her to find her own strength after she leaves him (although my heart bleeds for how traumatic the reason for her leaving is - she just suffers so much in this drama!). And it’s good to see him suffer and have to work hard to earn back a chance with her.
4:10 he is NOT a good boyfriend. He may be handsome and wealthy, but she deserves someone who is not just superficially good but who actually cares about her as a person and her needs.
