Mack MRU - Amrep HX-450-FL Front Load Garbage Truck

A couple of weeks ago, Alan (West Coast Refuse Trucks) and I set out for a week long trip to California in search of some of the more interesting trucks that still roam the streets of the Golden State! We spent our last day in California at the famous WM G.I. Industries operation (more on that to come soon!) which including tagging along with this sparkling beauty of a truck on its Saturday commercial route! As many of you already know, G.I. recently acquired the routes, trucks, and other assets of Anderson Rubbish, which included this Mack TerraPro MRU with Amrep HX-450-FL body, now freshly repainted in WM colors! I still cannot get over how well the Mack TerraPro pairs up with the Amrep body and especially how eye-catching this combo looks in the Waste Management livery - it’s a shame that this isn’t a standard pairing for WM!
Without further ado, I would like to extend the absolute biggest of “Thank You’s” to Aaron (WMmaster626) and the entire crew at WM G.I. Industries for being so welcoming and helpful, and for making our visit absolutely top notch!

Haha! Was hoping to see your video of this truck soon! MRU Amrep is definitely one of my favorite combos out there. Crazy how fast this guy was too, 2 hours of following and I only got less than 10 minutes of video! Glad the day worked out pretty much as perfect as we could've hoped for. Outside controls might seem like a good idea 💡 but just means that there’s a lot of pushing containers around all day. I’m used to just stabbing the containers and rarely getting out. Only our 2 yarders have wheels. Pushing containers in the snow sucks.

This driver reminds me of me throwing the bins on the forks . The smooth way he operates the Hydraulic system. Anyone that knows me knows what I’m talking about.

Excellent video! This is definitely one of the less common combos working out that way, but there really should be more! This thing sounds like a beast compared to most CNG trucks too! I couldn’t tell at all that this was an Ex Anderson Rubbish truck either, but it looks outstanding in WM’s scheme! Can’t wait to see more from your trip, keep up the great work!

I worked for waste MGMT in St Louis for 21yrs I never seen forks on bottom of container of course this is calif also is there two men on a front loader and is one of them working controller from outside vehical ? Maybe only one man in truck ! But to have to work controls from outside wtf you know this guy knows he's followed otherwise he probably wouldn't have that damn hard hat on

All the commercial drivers out of this yard have their hard hat on practically all the time since they're constantly using exterior controls and there tends to be a lot of overloaded bins. Some of the most professional drivers in the industry.
