- The dean of students at Claremont McKenna College stepped down Thursday following protests and allegations the university turned a blind eye to racial tension on campus. Kristine Lazar reports.
These kids would be better off if they were forced to face some real adversity, give them something real to cry about so they can get on with life.

American college students stay teenagers until they graduate. I don't know any other people in their 20s who have such a small sense of responsibility and who are mentally that unstable. Not all of them of course, but shockingly many.
What culture are they appropriating? Mariachi culture?? Do all Mexicans walk around dressed like this? No. The answer is no. And do people know this? Yes.
The funny thing is they weren't even in Mariachi clothing.

When I think of racial insensitivity/inequality, I think of well-established examples that permeate something truly wrong that is occurring/has occurred in society/history. Some examples may include: -The Holocaust
-Terrorism and the horrors it permeates as a result of ideological differences
-Birmingham during the height of racial tension in the US
-Hutus and the Tutsis
-Armenian Genocide
-Native American Assimilation
-Anti-Muslim sentiment in the US, today
-Anti-Syrian sentiment throughout the world as a result of their mass exodus of their homes
-Internment of Japanese-Americans during WWII
What do they want me to do?
Add to the list: "The social injustice of some kids wearing clothing that does not originate from their own culture; to celebrate a holiday that gratifies those who 'dress-up' with candy/alcohol for these college kids." That's really, stupendously rich, but I think I'll pass on this one.
People who whine about Halloween costumes are unemployable. They are too much of a risk for chaos in an organization that needs to get real things done on time, for real customers, so people can feed their kids.
California needs to fall into the gaping maw of the Pacific.
