Greetings, as an avid carnivorous plant grower I love you’ve mentioned our native ones here from Queensland, I live in Brisbane and, although their habitat has been greatly reduced we can still see them growing in the wild, especially on some of the islands in Moreton Bay. Thank you👍🇦🇺
Prolifera grows in marshy areas underneath the grasses etc. so naturally prefer dappled/shaded light, instead of full sun 👍 (supporting your comment on its preference for growing conditions).
Thanks for the video. Since we don't know the local weather, humidity, temperature at your place, can you mention these factors as well? So we can decide whether this can be grown at our place. That will be helpful.
Hi! GREAT video 👏 One question please 🙏 I will receive my small drosera magnifica in one or two days 😱 Can You tell me, which soil is the Best for it? It's ok sphagnum and perlite? How much water should I use with it? 😰 Thanks!!
Hi. I loved ur video. My family and I moved to Thorndale PA. Any suggestions on any of the carnivorous babies that would do well in your opinion? Thanks
hi! i recently got a drosera (in the mail) and it lost its dew/droplets. do you have any tips on how i can help it? i live in hawaii btw so lots of sunshine & humidity😄
I have a question. Are there any carnivorous plants that you feel could be grown in an aquarium? I.E. in the filter box or in a mounted position where roots can grow down into aquarium. (I guess that would be similar to hydroponics)
@@Hello_Fuckers0 You may regret starting bladderwort in your fish tanks. If you do put it in there it is really annoying to get rid of. It will take over and get mixed in will of of your other plants. When you attempt to remove it, it breaks into smaller pieces and each of those will grow a new plant.
Sundews are such a cool genus of carnivorous plants. Thanks for the video Dom!
Droseras are my weakness. I love them ❤️

Good video. I have lots of these plants and use them to catch the fungus nats which keeps them growing strong.
Just getting into drosera myself. Love the way that dew looks on those tentacles. By the way, very nice triskele tat!

anthurium marmoratum
I'm surprised that many people don't know a thing about carnivorous plants. I've met people who never even heard of the venus flytrap.
What substrate did you say you used for your D. magnifica? I'm looking for eco-friendly alternatives to peatmoss.
akadama
@@jonathanhart869, thanks!
@@jonathanhart869 but what is the mix of soil of the Akadama????? 😒
How many hours of light does your D. Prolifera gets daily?

Bladderwort is commonly grown in fish tanks
@@Hello_Fuckers0 awesome! thanks
@@TripleJAquatics no problem bro! 🤘🏼 I don't posses much knowledge, but I will share the little I do

@@Knein1967 thank you! I only knew it was used in aquariums, I had absolutely no idea it was so prolific. I hope @Triple J Aquatics sees your comment
Man, here my new drosera are having suuuch a hard time acclimating outside of my terrariums. I spray them daily, but they're still mad at me ;-;
Aka, not producing much dew.
Drosera cistiflora is not a tuberous sundew
Let the insects suffer! FEED the SUNDEWS!!! MWA HA HA HA!!!
Hi what is the name of that grow light fixture?
Ooo.. So they suck up nutrients huh.. Kind of similar to you...😂😂😂
