I am a newbie and have a joy. Your youtubes are just the best, down to earth, easy to listen to and you dont go on and on (its a good thing). thankyou very much
Thank you for this information! I am a new cricut owner and was disappointed in the fonts available. Downloaded 3 fonts this morning and plan to add a ton more. Loving your videos! Ordered the duck easyliner as well.
Thank you for this information !l am a new Cricut owner , my children gave it to me as a Christmas present last year . Right now my led on my Cricut maker is making a loud noise ,and l reached out to Cricut yesterday and will be replacing it with in 10-14 Business days .
Hi, I’m having with my Cricut in machine by iPhone. In iPhone, itself don’t show anything to steps to steps. I’m still struggling with it and lost it. My question is how I can see any images saved in my project ? Also I would like to know which best to use iPhone or iPad to use their app to create text and to add other?? To understand how to do that??
iPhone is limited. Click layers to see what images are in your project. iPhone and iPad will be the same but you may find iPad easier as the screen will be larger.
I'm also a new cricut user. I have some design experience that should help me, haha. Just wanted to add that I like the dafonts website for free fonts as well. Had a little trouble trying to figure out how to get them to show up on my cricut design space, but if you close it out they show up. Also, the search box is super specific to the font name, so it has to be exact. Thanks for the great advice and keep up the great work!
Thank you for this video. I'm new to Cricut and just starting to play with fonts. Can you suggest a good font for cutting out, where everything is connected? Like the center of the 'O', so it actually looks like an O, and not an oval shape. Do you know what I mean?
THANKYOU so much Angie for all your help with Cricut & Cricuit design space & all the free fonts, how to do this and that. You really help me so much b.c i have no idea & ha e been crafty for sevrL several years &decided i wanted a CRICUT, WELL GUESS WHAT? It stayed in the box.lol decided i would try something & got it out,i am DIY'ing my laundry room and i was trying to make labels and yeah a fail.lol. i know i didn't use transfer tape, it did do the outline of the label & tried to put the words inside the label outline & BIG FAIL,WHAT DOES IT MATTER WHt color vinyl you use& whe to use transfer tape. Ok Angie i apologize for the long comment but I feel like i got to go i. Detail or i don't make since. But LITERALLY i know nothing, i wanted to make some throw pillows, i have the fabric but its bigger than my blue mat & my rollers on machine. Comes down to where i dont know the difference in colors, tape,& im gonna try (1) of ur hacks with theDuck liner i think thats whT it was buti bought Some JOY TAPE & VINYL, I DONT K OW WHEN, WHAT, WHERE, TO USE/DO ANYTHING&WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A SHIRT AND DON'T KNOW HOW TO PUT DIFFERENT COLORS ON THE WORDING, A FRIEND GOT ME SOME PENS, CRICUIT INFUSIBLE INK PENS. I LOST THE MAIN ONE THAT CAME WITH IT. DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE THAT ONE?&MY PENS I GOT AS gift they dont reach the vinyl when using,im afraid to push dwn, afraid of breaking something. The CRICUT EXPLORER 2 WAS A SPECIAL GIFT & THOUGHT OH YEAH I can USE THIS, GUESS WHAT JUDY? NO,NO,NO!!!LOL I GET SO Agitating and put it up.So agai my apologies for long comments (s)but ...Can you HELP? YOU HAVE TAUGHT ME ALOT LIKE FREE FONTS,HACKS, TOOLS BLADES AND OH YEAH, HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN TO CHANGE OUT BLADES? I WANT A GREEN MAT BUT MAYBE WHEN I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING.LOLI WISH U WOULD DO VIDEO/TUTORIAL ON BEGINNING STARTING WITH A COLORED VINYL & WHY YOUR USING THAT COLOR & HOW YOU PUT DIFFERENT COLORS IN YOUR PROJECTS,WHEN& WHY TO USE TRANSFER TAPE,& TALK US THROUGH How do a project with all i think I asked u right. Maybe quicky how to mKe labels & say detergent or softener or whTever in it.Thankyou ANGIE, I Hve watched alot of videos and I came to you & you explain very well& by showing us the screen while ur talking makes it easier also.but im here with u now, so THnkyou & yeah alot of questions and I apologize.I want to say u educate me so much anout the CIRCUIT. I LOVE MY CIRCUIT, WOULD LOVE TO Have the HEAT PRESS, WOULD LIKE TO TRY SOME IRON ON'S. IS THERE AWAY I CAN GET CRICUT TO VOLUNTARILY GIVE ME A HEAT PRESS? LOL I DONT KNOW BUT WOULD LOVE IT. AS A NEW BEGINNER WE COULD video CHAT about how much you taught me& also how advanced I am b.c. of you if you could get cricut to sponsor that video &that may help both. Dont k ow if u have done a video like that but i think that would be an awesome video. I mean you have already helped so much tonight. Either way I ty so much. Maybe you would want to see if they would sponsor you/us as how you really advanced me in using my CRICUT. BE WORTH I A TRY.LOL REALLY BUT I WANT A HEAT PRESS&A GREEN MAT. WELL CRICUIT COULD DO A BUNDLE FOR THE STUDENT &WHATEVER YOU WOULD ASK. IT WOULD REALLY GIVE YOU VIEWS,(LOTS) &MAYBE TALK TO CRICUIT ON HELPING STUDENT,PERSON, WITH WHt they need to go FARTHER...👌🙏❤...
I would start with one project then move onto something more advanced. Vinyl labels are a great way to start. Try this for a simple explanation on transfer tape: th-cam.com/video/fm-jzQyeLLg/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for all of your great knowledge. I am a newbie and am trying to soak up all this. My first question is "where is the link in the description below that you speak of. I also have a monogramming machine and would love the font that I have but the fonts are mostly JPEG. Can these be uploaded? Thanks again
The description below the video. On computer, click show more to see the entire thing. On mobile, click the arrow to expand or swipe up on the video depending on how you are watching.
Angie, thanks so much! I truly appreciate you sharing this information. I have downloaded so much! If my computer could talk. LOL I am going to transfer some to an external hard drive.
I want to write onto fabric but when I select Pen the font becomes only outlined……help. I also downloaded son fonts to my computer but when I tried to print from my Apple iPad 9th generation and got a message that the ISO doesn’t support these fonts and couldn’t print except connecting my Maker to my computer……help.
First, you want single line or writing fonts for the pens. You can see more here: th-cam.com/video/sZ1zjMtaWec/w-d-xo.html Second, the fonts are on your computer, if you pull that design up on another device, the fonts will not be there for the Cricut to use. The fonts would have to be installed on both.
If they are on your laptop, they are already on your Cricut. Just go to fonts and system fonts. You may have to uncheck the box for kerned fonts to see them all.
Some fonts are used for cutting, some for writing, and some for both. When using a cutting font to write with, they will leave a BLANK space or I prefer to say an OUTLINE. You need to find "single line" fonts for writing to not have the outlines.
Newbie. How can I get the option to change the font I had originally chosen. Say I start a project, and I am ready to make it and the. I decide I don’t like the font after all, I can’t seem to find a way to change the font, even if I ungroup and select the “message “ only. I would normally delete and start all over again 😕
Thank you for this. I'm new to Cricut so just doing my research before I commit.to buying the equipment. Just wanted to ask, with any free font I download can I use the fonts on products for me to sell? I've heard people say some you can but some fonts you can't? Many thanks :)
I just got my cricut for Christmas and I can't find any of these fonts for free. The only one I have from that first list of your favourite free cricut ones is "Cricut Sans". I feel like with the new ones they have made it more difficult to get fonts their fonts for free maybe?
Some come with a commercial license that you can use for things you sell. You will have to check each listing individually to see what the requirements are.
Hello thanks for all your great videos. I do have a question about fonts though. I have downloaded free fonts and paid fonts to my computer. I've unzipped it and installed them. I am able to use them on design space but the next day I go back to use them again in design space and design space won't read them no more. So I go back to install it again and then I'm able to use it. But why do I have to install the font everytime I need to use it? I am able to use it in Word without re installing the font. But not in design space.
I think if you had say an arabic font that was coded to work with an english keyboard that it would work in Design Space. I have not tried it, however.
Depends on what format the templates are in. Most of them are designed to be used with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. If that is the case, you won't be able to import that into Design Space without converting it to another file format.
I downloaded the fonts and I am using it. But still can't print and I need to buy the fling fonts at cost me $6.99 but I don't know why I already used the free fonts that I downloaded. Do you know why I should pay? I phoned cricut but my calls dropped. I am really disappointed and there's no email for asking any inquiries with them.
WHAT!?!? This is the most helpful cricut post I have seen yet! THANK YOU!
Extremely helpful to me as a newbie to the Cricut world! Thank you.
I didn't know about the last three sources. I will definitely check those out.

I love the fontsy one you showed. Definitely getting that. My favorite right now is Basyirah. I think I am spelling it correct who knows lol
What font is on your t-shirt? I love it!
I do not remember! SORRY!
Do we have to turn the fonts into svg in order to use them on htv? Sorry if I didn't explain myself well
No you don't. Just use the fonts in Design Space to type what you want.

Can you do an updated video? I noticed that places like so fontsy do not offer free fonts anymore
I still see free fonts at So Fontsy. Theirs are weekly freebies so it depends on when you click over as to what they have.
I don't know how upload the fonts, Do you have video to show you to use to do that
Try this: th-cam.com/video/UloP5h6fRmY/w-d-xo.html

Look for stencil fonts.

So Many to choose from!

I Need Help With Using The Font On My Cricut. I Installed It But Cant Find It
As soon as you install a font on your device it is in Cricut Design Space. You may need to restart.
@@AngieHolden Okay Yes I May To Restart.

Second, the fonts are on your computer, if you pull that design up on another device, the fonts will not be there for the Cricut to use. The fonts would have to be installed on both.
I don’t have all those Cricut fonts, only Cricut sans. How do I get the others?
Try unchecking the "kerned fonts only" box.
Thanks Angie Holden…that worked!
I have fonts in my laptop. how do i download them to my explore air 2?
If they are on your laptop, they are already on your Cricut. Just go to fonts and system fonts. You may have to uncheck the box for kerned fonts to see them all.
Can the fonts be use to write with the cricut? Without getting any blank space on the letter?
The Cricut does not do fill. It will only do the outline.
Some fonts are used for cutting, some for writing, and some for both. When using a cutting font to write with, they will leave a BLANK space or I prefer to say an OUTLINE. You need to find "single line" fonts for writing to not have the outlines.

Just click it and you will see a drop down with the various fonts. If you are on mobile, try clicking edit at the bottom.
Thank you for this. I'm new to Cricut so just doing my research before I commit.to buying the equipment. Just wanted to ask, with any free font I download can I use the fonts on products for me to sell? I've heard people say some you can but some fonts you can't? Many thanks :)
You need to buy a font with a commercial license to sell things. Some free ones have that as well. Just watch the license when you download.
Are these for commercial use?
Some are and some are not. You need to look at the listing for each font.
SHE IS THE BEST MAKES IT SO WASY TO USE MY MACHINE THANK YOU
Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you very much. This was very helpful.
Glad to hear it!
This information was very useful, I knew about dafont but now I am going to the other sites as well.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much yo never know where to start
looking.
Happy to help!
Great information - thank you!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so very much Angie for sharing, excited to check out these websites. Luv from Barbados.
Hope you enjoy!

Do you have to pay for business license to use the free fonts when your going to use it on items you make and want to sell?
Some come with a commercial license that you can use for things you sell. You will have to check each listing individually to see what the requirements are.
Hello thanks for all your great videos. I do have a question about fonts though. I have downloaded free fonts and paid fonts to my computer. I've unzipped it and installed them. You don't have to install them every time. Once they are on your computer, they are in Design Space. Not sure what is going on with your computer?
hi there...... r there any arabic or urdu fonts used on cricut
I think if you had say an arabic font that was coded to work with an english keyboard that it would work in Design Space. I have not tried it, however.
@@AngieHolden thank you for the swift reply.... yes usually that's the way most Arabic language works....
Kind regards
Abda
Thank you Angie for this it's great, as I am a newbie great to know and learn from the best! Hugs Liz.
You are so welcome!
@@AngieHolden Thanks!!!
How can i upload the logo templates from one of these sites into design space?
Depends on what format the templates are in. Most of them are designed to be used with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. If that is the case, you won't be able to import that into Design Space without converting it to another file format.
If I find an amazing font on Cricut and purchase it, can I use it on my system as well?
No it will only be on Design Space for use with designing things for your Cricut.
I just love your videos!
Thanks!

Sounds like you used one of their fonts. Make sure you choose "system" fonts and not "Cricut".
Thank you as well I’m a newbie as well and just got my Cricut Explorer 3 today as a surprise from my fiancé
Thank you I’m new to this . X
You’re welcome 😊
The fonts say you have to pay?
Which fonts say that?
I love Creative Fabrica!
Me too! It is my favorite!
Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure!
Can these free fonts be used for items you sell?
You will need to check the license on each font for specific information on what you can do with it.
Thanks
Fun places! Thank you. Btw you have the most gorgeous hair! *jealous!*
Oh thank you!
Thank you!
Whar does your T-shirt say ?
Social distancing champion.
tHANK YOU SO MUCH.
You're welcome!
Thank you for all the great information. Could you tell me what font is on the front of your shirt? Very cute!
Pretty sure it is called "fruit cake".
None of these fonts come up in design space
There is a new box that says "kerned fonts only". Uncheck that.
I also have a greeting card program on my computer and when I download these fonts to my pc I am able to use with card program. Win win
Yes, you can use them on any program after they are installed!
now Wanderlust costs $8.99 😜
