That's the only fashion "risk taking" I will ever respect. This new sh!t, it aint it. Its pretentious as hell. You think hippies look back fondly on their fashion choices? They look back and cringe, just like every generation does.
the funny thing is that online fashion exists in a weird vacuum because in my small rural ass town, if i rocked the 2000+ PDR fit to go buy cheetos and mountain dew, they'd probably refuse to let me in the store - so in a way, when the tryhard fits are forced to confront reality they invert into minus PDR ratings and the 500 PDR fit ends up being S tier because it means I can just go about my day without anyone calling the cops
That’s why it’s like best to dress in a 900-1500 PDR (whatever that means) Because you can look both stylish and natural while not making average people think you escaped an asylum Even then if you live in a big city where the 2000 PDR is kinda normalised, most people don’t give a shit really. So if you’re tryharding your fits in a place like New York you’re not going to get any stares or compliments simply by “looking cold like that 🥶🔥”
It's pretty common conversation about how no one really dresses like this (and not even rural vs city, in my city those fits are insane asylum worthy too), but the one place where kind of mixes the hyper-online thought with real life is college. And my ass goes to art school. I go to class with unironic 2000+ PDR chasers with their deconstructed tiktok fit draping and falling apart on the floor. But the problem is that none of them are really good, yet the one measurement of money remains. Even in their nonchalant attitudes, they end up valuing money the most and turning into assholes over that. I can't completely describe what annoys me in all of this, but it's similar to the oversaturation nausea everyone gets in fashion online spaces coupled with the reality of "I can't ever afford to look like that... why do I feel inferior if I hate it?" But the absurdity is even stronger seeing them in person. Also, they created the worst reputation for themselves in the eyes of any normal person on the street. They basically follow your theory of inverting PDR ratings into negatives.
This is called an art movement; new york avant-garde.. you feel like this is everywhere because youre surrounded by it. I havent ever seen a fit like this in Cali
I appreciate this analysis. It helps me get out of the FOMO energy of all these fashion videos. Separating "looking good" from "dressing up" is a great idea!
I am actually happy there’s people going around with the craziest most alien type beat outfits out there, it makes wearing something slightly different than usual more comfortable, you can get away with more, you get more comfort from wearing what you like and less discomfort from people staring 👁️👁️
WOW this is so well made, literal philosophy and science involved like whattt. i also thought about those things mentioned so its even more amusing and funny. one of my fav vids ever from now on
Thank you again Christian for having larger sizes, because as someone who is on their weightloss journey for the purpose of being able to pull off better fits, knowing that a lot of fashion mfs have "One Size Only Drops," you actually understand that there are more bodies that your own. Love you vids always!
This is crazy, I've been thinking and realizing the same point. You just managed to put in on a paper with fire edits, the PDR concept is legit. We take everything to the extremes and at certain point it tilts towards ridiculousnes and you need some self reflection and your own brain to realize that. Also you need like 200 PDR to look great in real world - if you ever go there. The designer execs are laughing their asses off at our peanut brains taking every single bait and praising new bagofshit releases and trends.
Dude the way you present fashion is like when your best mate tries to explain something to you and just has all the quirks only your best friend knows. Instant sub for someone dipping there toe into fashion for the first time, thank you for not making it scary!
you talked about fashion and the heat-death of the universe in the same paragraph, right after mentioning maslow's hierarchy of needs. all you needed was to connect it all to the noosphere and this would have been the most perfect video on youtube.
This is the trend cycle all over again which happens for everything expressive. The over saturated market of the current thing makes the other things (old or new or otherwise) increase in popularity as a means to be noticed by the bored eye. Time, social implications, and the underground v mainstream, all collaborating in a sofisticated complex social structure primarily influenced by the human attempt to draw attention to oneself whilst simultaneously molding a particular perspective of themselves in the eyes of others for some kind of gain. (usually to get that bb making game underway) unfortunately since we are very flawed, this tends to fail horrendously as people attempt to game the system via deception rather than being of genuine value :3
Fashion is a culmination of the irrational and rational. Fashion is social ecology, social psychology, evolutionary psychology and so many more sciences. At it's core, a lot of fashion is unspoken communication. Context is always key and sometimes, context itself is the message. Pastel colors that stain easily with loose breezy cuts communicate the same message as a full three piece suit with the coat draped around your shoulders haphazardly. The only difference is the pastel colors communicate that you are above manual labor in a casual setting and the full suit communicates it in a professional setting. Heck, casual clothes in a formal meeting is also communication. It means you are above all the posturing and are without a doubt the highest ranking person in the room.
This video spoke to me on multiple levels especially since my Top 500 EU outfit would probably consist of matching (unintentionally) the shades of black I wear on a bi annual basis which funnily enough mirrors my YY 720 fakie insert cancel, predator missle semtex silent trick shot success ratio on Rust.
no because a fit is fire from being different and still well put together, meaning everyone can have a fire and unique fit because people can appreciate diversity, and representing urself through clothes
Calling someones fit "giving off trickshot energy" fucking took me out As a guy who was playing competitively during those years and has transitioned to other competitive gaming, this video was perfect
That’s what I’m saying … everyone is looking the same these days … no one looks different or unique anymore. And if they DOOO wanna look diff/unique … they try way too hard… first; start by picking something other than goth/punk/grunge… that’s WAY OVERLY done

I wore a sweater last week. A colleague said “that sweater goes hard.” Made my year 😂😭
I wore a sweater two days ago. Some emo store clerk chick complimented it even though it’s from Walmart. Feels good.
The way that Wisdom looked at you when you said you hate him 😢
as a person who doesnt follow the fashion side of the internet this feels like a schizo person ranting about stuff. good shit keep it up king

ive been watching bro for months and its funnier when i dont know wtf hes talking about😂

one of your most important videos to people who want to dive into fashion, without making it a competition
The very real "random pieces" fashion trend might grind to a halt in favor of the late 60's-early 70's fashion that's making a big comeback
that intro 10000/10
what’s the song

christian talks about supermassive black hole, big freeze, entropy, economic crisis. is this muse?? 😂😂
ikr it’s giving Stockholm Syndrome 🤣
Christian is jokemaxxing, that heatdeath / big freeze bit was fantastic!
Silly mogging us fr.
Fashion-wise, many of us watching (including myself) are still playing Halo 3 custom maps on Xbox Live

I just came across your channel a couple days ago and I had now idea fashion / clothes videos could be so entertaining. I love the content.
The way I burst out laughing at that unwarranted “I HATE YOU BRO” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have that Magikarp tee-shirt. It makes me weep with joy whenever I think of it.
Nah honestly the trickshot comparison is so accurate. I love you great vid zadd
Not only fashion but sports as well and food etc, only the extremes of culture are in the explore feed

fashion being the modern day teenagers 360 no scope is not what I expected from the video

I had to come back to this video because halfway through I went into a rabbit hole on the Great Recession...

i love how Wisdom is almost everywhere in this vid
Props for recognizing the cultural through-line here.
This analogy between fashion and Call of Duty is truly spot on
Bro cooked the best vid about something ive never heard of
I think he lost it when he mentioned neurolinks😂
man that video was done intelligently. this speaks to a very specific audience.
As long as I don't look like I'm wearing the same fit my mom picked out for me when I was 8, I'm having a good time
