I love Mariner! In a Grand Suite, you get priority embarkation and disembarkation. You will have robes and upgraded bath amenities. When you get into your cabin, you will have a complimentary water and fruit plate. You will also have access to the suites lounge, concierge, and breakfast in chops. With your suite you have free room service. The main thing to note is that you do not get free Wi-Fi. Hope that helps. Happy Cruising

Odyssey of the seas is a royal suite class. Does that mean they offer the 11-11 free drinks wine and beer in the suite lounge? We didn’t know about this on the symphony earlier this year and paid for drink packages but from what I have read on like this is only on the oasis class. Thank you so much for the clarification

On Radiance for lunch there is no special restaurant. You will be able to eat breakfast in Chops. You can have the concierge arrange room service for you on embarkation day.
Yepp, confused here. We will be going on our first cruise within a week and will be on the serenade of the seas. We have an owner’s suite booked, but I was introduced to the “bidding” feature and we will see if we get the Royal suite. I have already paid for the Key, due to a few perks of that feature, which includes Wi-Fi. I have also paid fort he soft drink package. I’m now wondering if I need the above features if there is a possibility of the wifi being included and I can get soft drinks throughout the day. I have tried to call customer service to ask these questions, but the hold each time I called is more than 45 min. Other than still being a bit confused and well, just overwhelmed for a first cruise, thank you for the video.
Good luck on your bid!!! We have been in the Royal Suite on other ships. I have a tour of our suite on the voyager. If you win your bid make sure to have the Steward show you how to operate the hot tub. It was a little tricky. The only special perks that come with the Royal Suite is being escorted on board by an officer (both times we have had the Consierge), and a bottle of champagne. Wi-fi is not included in any suite on Serenade. As for your soft drinks. You can get them for free during happy hour in the suites lounge but rest of the time you would need to pay for them. I have always been able to get a couple unopened waters from our server in the suites lounge. If you have a good deal on the key it may be worth it to keep. I have a video on suites and the key and basically it boils down to price of the key vs price of the Wi-Fi. So basically your perks will be mostly the same between suite you have booked and your upgrade. You will love either suite.

We had already gotten into our room. We received the email at 4:42 pm which was 18 minutes before departure. You can be notified as late as 2 hours AFTER sailing. Have a great cruise!!!

We have a 2 bedroom grand suite and although we could possibly get the Royal Suite, we are going to stay put. During Covid we saw people get amazing deals. I do hope you win your bid, but I am sure you will enjoy it either way. Since it is your first cruise, make sure to take advantage of the Suites lounge.
If you are not in Star Class ( and have a Genie) Make sure to make your reservations for Costal Kitchen as soon as possible. The Concierge will contact you a week before. You can request your time then but make sure to double check when you get on board that it was entered into the system. Last time we were on Oasis the concierge said he had made the reservation but Costal kitchen showed no record of it. We had to eat earlier than planned but all worked out. I have not been on Wonder yet. Let me know what you think.
Are you familiar with the Quantum Grand Suite amenities? What is included and what isnt? I try to look it up anywhere and I get information that doesnt even pertain to the specific ship I want! I for one do not care for the room size or decor, I like perks and special amenities for guests who want to spend the extra dollar for it. Thank you for your time

I have heard your question a lot with just as many different answers, I would join the group and find a consensus. Much to my husband’s dismay, I think I need to book star class so I can experience it for myself. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help!

I booked a full drinks package having already booked a Grand Suite. Have I gone over the top? I like a few beers and my wife, wine, champagne and cocktails.
Ronald what ship are you on? If you just want a few drinks around dinner time, you don’t need a drink package. On all ships drinks are free in the suites lounge from 5-8pm. If you’re not big drinkers you will most likely be okay. You would need to drink over 5 drinks a day each to pay for the package not counting your free drinks in the lounge. Be careful the drinks in the lounge are often strong and plentiful. Happy Cruising!

No. Only on Oasis, Quantum and Icon classes.
