Pretty sure that was a Girl Scout pendant. Great video Shane, thanks for sharing it. Let me know when you're headed to Idaho, we can go up and prospect some claims and old mining camps.
Sounds good Bill, I live fairly close to Idaho and although I already did Idaho, I want to come back for some gold prospecting! I'll refer back to emails I get for invitations for different states so be sure to email me otherwise this comment will be long forgotten!
Well I for one had fun searching for treasures ,buried treasures-never know what you'll find which makes it the most fun. Keep doing what you do and I'll be along for the hunt.
Definitely a Girl Scout emblem. Great old depression house. Might not be much silver there, hard times. But there just might be a hoard buried out back. Big jar of double gold eagles. Thanks Shane. Great video.
I was going to say Girl Scout Medal but I see that so did almost everyone who commented. It was another fun hunt. I was sure you would find silver. Cool place to try to get back and work the whole area and house. I also enjoyed getting to your live stream for awhile today. This is why I don't get to live streams anymore. I'm watching too many videos. I miss the people on the games. I used to be well known on them...not anymore. Oh well!! I don't know how I got into viewing and not playing the games. I guess it was because I hurt my shoulder in Nov. and then some family issues came up. My money was going to them. Now I have to buy a new computer very soon. Thanks for another great video, Shane. :-)
Loved your vid. That turned out to be a really great day. Thank John for us. You really need to go back to that old house as I feel it has a helluva lot more secrets yet to be found. Cheers Shane, loved this one :)
That place looks late 1800s buils style. The windows are at least lat fiftys early sixtys. I would have checked alond the brush line away from the house being entry points into the brush to hunt. Love the videos man.
great video,,, btw that badge/pendent with the GS on it was definitely was from the girl scouts,,, ,,,, i remember my sisters with similar ones in the mid 60’s thanks for memories 👍

Yes that was definitely a Girl Scout pin that went on the badge sash . I know cuz I had them all! Late 60's to early 70's. Love all your videos man. Would REALLY like to see a few reviews on detectors when using in Denver, eastern Co., N.W. Kansas area. Can't find any info on the mineralization in my area, (NW Kansas) I'm trying to find a 250 or less detector that will work well here. Thanks! Shawna
We only had permission to dig some holes and explore the property, didn't ask about taking anything from the house..he probably wouldn't have cared though.
Hey man.. love the vids.. just watched this one and I believe the gs thingy is a Girl Scout pin.. made in the twenties.. some were ten k gold.. have a great day..BillyJ south of Pittsburgh... yes I’m a sub now..🤘

It would be cool if you could go over seas somewhere and metal detect an old World War 2 battle area. I’m sure a ton of people already have but it would be a sweet video.
It would be cool, only problem is unexploded ordinance (bombs, mines, etc!), But yes would be real fun to detect in areas of Germany and other places. I'll be doing that for sure when I visit! Thanks Trav!
You are on the Piedmont Plateau, it runs from Pennsylvania down through the Carolinas through northern Georgia into east central Alabama. Just start working your way down the Piedmont and let me know when you are going to hit Alabama and I'll meet you at Alabama Gold Camp. 4:48 appears to be an old girl scouts insignia. That shape is unmistakable. Often large homesteads would have servant houses or guest houses, even slave houses further south. Even though your cent may not be very old. They put holes in coins pre 1890's so they could sow them into their clothing/dress/pants/jackets so they would not lose them. Did not have lots of pockets then. Most the time it was not worn for jewelry. Just some facts maybe not related to your video at all, just fun facts. Keep @ it and HH !!
