I'm not one to comment usually, and I don't even know if you'll ever read this but I need to say - I live vicariously through Zara and Jay when it comes to their relationship with you both, especially Trid. We get so used to the typical indian family stoicness from dads, and my own dad is very atypical, but I always grew up feeling this huge distance between us. Now, at 27, that distance is a huge chasm that will never close. But listening to what Trid had to say here just made me cry because I realized this is what I missed. I always wanted my dad to be my best friend. I will never get all those years back, but I'm so so happy for Zara and Jay.
Happy Father's day, Trid ❤ lots of love to you all

I sometimes feels I am being raised by the both of you, TRID & Sheena. Which is in one way kind of hilarious, me being a 70 year old white dude which in its essence really doesn't mean anything at all. It is that pureness of the human spirit we all pick up in one another. There is a beautiful wisdom about you TRID which I'm sure you got from your Dad. You appreciate past memories and love your family dearly...but you don't get trapped in the past which is an aspect of stillness - something that would take me hours to explain for those who are uncertain of what I am speaking of.
Teaching others how to cry and speak at the same time would be an interesting course for me to develop (beautiful challenge).
But I must say to you TRID, I felt your emotions as you went into this. Seeing Sheena's eyes water and you not wearing glasses at that point....
Yes, I know. And I felt that too in you.
Awesome messages from both Zara and Jae.
And in advance, Happy Father's Dad to you my friend. As a woman in her 90s used to tell me all the time.......♥You did good ♥

Did u guys see the amount of love Sheena had toward TRID when she asked him what’s a memory of a time he had with his kids , and when he replied u could just see all the love in the way Sheena looked at him, she does not need to tell Trid she loves him at all ever cause she is constantly showing it even if it just with her eyes , now I would say that’s true honest & from the heart kind of love, also the way Trid spoke about his father and kids was touching, and would make anyone tear up n he made Sheena tear up which is a good thing.

Also, if you guys haven’t seen Storks, you shud totally watch it. There’s a line in there that TRID said.

I have the most fun playing with them, tickling them, and roughhousing with them. I couldn't imagine my life without them. I love what TRID said about how his kids have a piece of his heart. TRID! You are seldom serious and we love it. But I want to tell you one (1) serious thing you have taught me about life.
You taught me in your interactions with Sheena that 'perfect' may be an unrealistic ideal to ascribe for in life; whether about a life partner, work, goals or finances. That stressing about it just blocks you & causes more stress.
But that if you can put one foot forward & do something towards it, you nod your head and say to yourself 'you are doing well, keep going'.
Thank you for that ❤ and for making yourself better for the family. Bless you all.

As someone who had to raise my younger sibling and pretend I wasn’t yearning for my parents attention myself. Thank u so much for healing my inner child. I think my parents felt this overbearing pressure to raise first generation Latin Americans, that they put their everything into work. And trig is right, it’s okay to not be there if it’s for a good reason. Even now that I’m 25 I look back and never with hurt always look back grateful ❤

On the difference between being loving and being kind : Loving would include expressing affection, encouragement and appreciation in physical ways and your heart being open and overflowing with positivity whereas kindness could just be a broader willingness to help and do good.

I think English fails us regarding “love.” In Greek there are three words: “eros” for passionate love among couples, “phileo” for love among brothers, and “agape’” for love within a tight knit community.
“Kindness” falls somewhere between “agape’” and “phileo.”

How to Communicate When Crying: It really is best solved in therapy, but things to think of are how and where you feel your emotions. Like for example, frustration might make your chest really tight and your face red, the opposite of that (relaxing your chest and taking deep breaths) is how you calm down. It sounds like upset (crying/sadness etc) sits in your throat and maybe chest, it’ll only get worse if you keep pushing it down. You have to let your emotions express themselves, but you can change where and how it’s felt, there’s tons of research on the vagus nerve, it’s the mind-body connection. Just like you were saying about kids passing through you, emotions do too. Sheena accepted that she had tears and kept with the situation, you fought it and from what I can see it made things harder for you. Perhaps next time you feel like this, think about moving it from your throat/chest to your legs and take deep breaths when your speak. It doesn’t have to be meditation deep breaths, but intake more air than normal. Hope this helps, and you can take advantage of the better help promo.

I think all men feel fear when they realize they are going to be a Dad and what it entails. My husband was very cost conscious because our baby was born prematurely and was in the NICU for over 3 weeks. Luckily he got to bond with her while he was working the night shift at the hospital as an x ray tech. He knew all the nurses in NICU as he would do early morning chest x rays on the babies who were intubated and a ventilator.
He knew how to handle preemies.❤

When your son said he takes time out of his work to be with us 😢 If all parents could realize how important that is.

Sentimental episode, Sheena being senti and TRID trying to maintain the usual mental.
BTW 45:15 TRID's face glitched out in the iPad.
