Originally a Pancham Kishore Da, Ashaji creation, a rare gem, long forgotten, dumped in the ash heap of history. No one ever created a cover nor sang in any of the “Tribute to Pancham” program, never sung on Mother’s day until I found Lucky Singh creating a cover and singing in a richie rich American private party. There was no script, no casting director, no costume designer, no professional cameraman either. Lucky Singh’s vocal range, deep emotional rendition, creative adaption with deviation from the original, the snapping of his fingers to the tune, the rapport with the guests, the chords and the drums just playing a supporting role made it a very natural visual poetry, worth watching. His surprise arrival, the awestruck faces of the host and the guests, the tinkling of the wine glasses, the accidental spilling of the cocktail, the hugs and kisses makes it a visual delight, worth a million words.
