I tried the challenge and it was pretty easy for me tbh. I collected a shit ton of torches and farmed blocking to lv 40, used trolls to farm ranged because they can tank a lot of hits from the slingshot you have. I also played as a skeleton because the magic resist is necessary if you don't want to die in gnome mines. if you manage to kill everyone there the rest is pretty easy (you can max out your ranged or farm melee from the ghouls in the haunted castle)

Extremely informative and honestly, ill probably use this as a mini tutorial for getting friends into barony, even if it's geared towards doing this ridiculous challenge run. you covered the basics as well as some more challenging things that you can do for a normal run. As for run suggestions uhhh, go fight baphomet, don't really see anyone ever go that route. as for who, what, and how you fight him just do that fight in someone elses suggested build run

I just watched your godrun with the goatman and I would love for you to upload a good Barony guide, mostly about how to get your character stronger and what you should focus on a run. Because most times with my friend we just die on the first boss but we tried everything we know and it feels like we are clearly missing things. There are very few Barony guides on youtube and without trying to be rude, they are really not good. They explain things that are beyond basic that one finds out by themselfs after a few days of playing but none of them dig dipper into what you should look for and the different possibilities of the game.
I would love to see you do as "normal" of a clear in barony as possible. I just picked it up with the steam sale and have been loving it. But get my shit pushed in solo when I get to the ruins/temple/desert w/e its called. I know of some secrets etc, but seeing a run with as much min max would be super appreciated for my own sake, and for entertainment purposes. Everyone loves the stacked out build

I just bought this game a few days ago and on sale, I'll compare it to Minecraft and terraria on how cool it is, I've only gotten to level 2 dungeon. This games pretty awesome
To make this even harder, I find that disabling hunger is actually more difficult. Because disabling hunger also disables passive HP regen and now you have to eat to heal miniscule amounts per food eaten, and also lose much more when you eat something bad and hit the vomit percentage chance. If you don't get lucky and get a healing spell you can actually use early on, turning off hunger always makes the game harder in my experience. Frankly, hunger does nothing but take away a few inventory slots for the food. You are never short on food in this game if you actually play properly, explore and kill stuff. So hunger is not really something that adds difficulty in my experience. So since hunger isn't difficult anyways, turning it off and losing HP regen for it is a pure negative. Even if you play something like the healer or cleric and start with healing magic, you don't always have that mana. I guess you can go afk to regen mana and heal as much as you want with hunger turned off in those cases. But if you don't play like that, hunger being turned off will always be an increase to difficulty. TLDR: Turn hunger off, it disables passive HP regen and actually ends up making the game more difficult.
I personally find hunger more difficult because I find healing far too often for it to be an issue in runs with hunger disabled. That, and I can just chug my rat meat when I'm in danger :)

Maybe try goblin wizard, spellbooks becoming a limited use item and them taking up inventory space could pose a decent challenge. Or if that is too similar to the goblin merchant run try skeleton wizard due to lower mana regen.
Pretty hard... But this is still not the MOST HARDCORE challenge ever in Barony. I dare you to do this all the same except that you also go through hell 😈 (I have personally done this already)

How long did this run take?
The final run took me around 2-4 hours I'd guess, while the entire challenge took maybe 16-20 hours across many attempts
