John Trumporella? He's completely unhinged. I hated him until he came here. He's a great coach. A great fit for Philly. But......I don't like what he did to Couts.

So much respect for this man he doesn’t cut corners and sugar coat anything. Old school sayings and ways of coaching separates him from the rest! 👍🏽👊🏽

Torts is the man his mindset is great! Such a great leader of men. Started out slow but the boys are really kicking it into gear and playing great hockey. The Best defense is to have offensive pressure and not let them have chances. Sitting back on your heels doesn’t get you anywhere. Got some real excitement back in orange and black!

We need to go with errson and koli. Feds is playing better, but he's in his prime. This is his prime? Koli is young and will only get better. I see Bob in him and we can't make that mistake again. He's quick post to post and has one hell of a glove hand. His athleticism is unreal. He tracks the puck well. He deserves a spot.

I know Torts won't comment on it but any word from other sources on Drysdale's progress back? He's been skating but any timeline?

"He's an idiot too when it comes to defending" lmfaoooo that is peak accountability. You can't be an ego maniac around Torts 😂 I'd love him as a coach, perosnally.

Get RID of the shootout - yes! Tortorella is on board. He's right the SO sucks it's a boring practice drill/skills contest that shouldn't be deciding the extra point. Just play 3 on 3 sudden death; the players' union should be okay with it. I still think it's gimmicky way - I never minded ties after a 5min OT - but I have to admit 3 on 3 is usually really fun to watch.

I agree the shootout needs to go but there has to be something else because if it’s 3 on 3 sudden death what happens when you go to 2-3 overtime periods in the first game of a back to back the 2nd game is basically a guaranteed loss because everyone is exhausted. Sudden death works in the playoffs because they don’t schedule any back to backs. Genuinely curious if anyone has a solution

3-3 10 minute OT? If it’s a tie at the end, each get a point.

      @@456yukon what’s your idea?

@@TheCornChili That's a concern and it brings up something I'd like to see the NHL do anyway, regardless what happens to the shootout. Once a team is in the attack zone, passing back into the N zone is a delay of game penalty. I haven't thought of every possibility; maybe it's not workable but IMHO they should prevent teams constantly circling back to "regroup." It's no fun watching teams play Keep-Away for 5 minutes. Glad it doesn't happen very often but I've seen OTs where only 1 team touches the puck maybe you have too.
edit: if this is workable (or something like it) it also addresses the concern of 2OT, 3OT situations. Take away the option to pass back into the N zone and OTs that get to 5 minutes will be extremely rare. What do you think?

I hope Drysdale can get healthy and progress because he’s dropped down the depth chart by 2 or 3 spots with Grans and Andrae stepping up.
