- Watch live coverage as SpaceX launches a Falcon 9 rocket with another batch of second-generation satellites for Elon Musk's Starlink internet service. Liftoff from pad 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station is scheduled to launch at 9:40 p.m. EDT (0140 UTC) on Friday, Apr. 12. The first-stage booster making a record-breaking 20th flight will land on SpaceX's drone ship 'A Shortfall of Gravitas', stationed in the Atlantic Ocean, about eight and a half minutes into the flight.
The mission, designated Starlink 6-49, will be the 25th launch of Starlink satellites this year and the 38th flight of a Falcon 9 rocket.
Commentary will be provided by Spaceflight Now's Will Robinson-Smith, starting approximately an hour prior to liftoff.

Congratulations Elon and SpaceX!
Reply Elon Musk Congratulations! Elon💙and SpaceX 🌟🌟🔥🚀🌟🌟😊🌟
20 launches on this single booster.
Just insane.
SpaceX is unmatched
Thank you for showing, I'm hooked ❤️🙏
Was at EPCOT at Disney world and saw it launch while waiting for the bus to arrive. Sick af
I was at Epcot too. Parked in Crush, what a show. Could actually hear it tonight. Sound was delayed about 5 minutes but was definitely audible.
@@cf104b I couldn’t hear it at all if I was supposed to hear it, buses were too loud and the “conductor” (whatever they are called) was yelling 🤣🤣
@@ProMasterBaitersOfAmerica Yeah, with the bus noise you won't be able to hear it. The parking lot was pretty quiet at 9:45-9:50
Had no idea there would be a launch tonight. Was driving up the Florida turnpike when I see a streak of fire in the sky. It was the first time I see an unexpected launch without being aware of it. Beautiful sight.
Thank you for showing !!!
Absolutely love this!!!
Looking forward to watching live
Szenzációsan szép indítás volt!!!!!
Man, I just got back from my twentieth flight to space and back, and boy, are my fins tired. ;)
lol
Amazing that this one rocket represents 20 standard, throwaway rockets... and counting. It is amazing.
Think how many rocket motors have been saved. Dozens of them, at least.
Amazing job well done congrats
Love y'all.Ive Watched all Even When It Gets Scrubbed ❤
One of the quietest launches I've heard yet. 🤣
Does someone forget to turn the mic on or something? …. would be nice to hear the roar a bit more
I watched my first launch ever, wednesday night. I had always expected it to be loud. I was shocked. It was exactly like the video. Almost silent, and if the sun was rising for a minute or so. Then it went into a rumble as if it was a roar of thunder that lasted for a couple minutes. It was a low growl that you could feel , but never loud.
@@getinit56 I'd guess that the crackling from the hypersonic exhaust is distinctive?
@locknut5382 Yes, it did crackle. Speaking to a local. He told me the larger rockets were a lot louder. That the falcon 9, being a smaller one, was surprisingly quit.
@@getinit56 Thanks. I'd love to have the health go and watch a few launches!
Makes me miss the space shuttles.
Thanks. 🙂👍
And still some idiots believe Earth's flat lol
@@vuckomrakic3760 I usually ignore them.
We saw it from Lutz, just north of Tampa!
@1:23 what was that passing??
So cool to see the night launches all the way on the other side of Florida.
Palm Bay FL here
19:00 always fantastic watching live from Down Under 👌😎
Whats the object at 1:23.10 ?
🚀
Interesting
Fue hermoosoo ❤❤❤
The government could never make rockets this good.
What was that crossing very fast at 1:20:37-39 ?
BRO IT RLLY LOOKS LIKE A UFO THATS SO WIERDDDDD DUDEEE
It maybe is debrie from space or something like a ufo
Probably a star. It's apparent motion is due to the camera tracking the rocket. Often seen in SFN tracking views.
Love this channel ❤. Wish I could afford a membership
From California????
How many did NASA drop in the ocean?
Is it just the camera or is it windy?
when zoomed in that much, slight movement is exaggerated
I saw it
hopefully this means a cheaper cost for starlink subscription, going forward 😀
Where will Star link be positioned?
everywhere, they are constantly moving, currently aroung 5,500 are up there
Over Cali @ 7:17 at an apparent Heading of 330
If they continue like this we won't be able to see stars from earth due to the amount of "satellites" being launched
Lol 😂
Hello
I love all this stuff too, but do you know how much pollution in the last two weeks that they have put up there? It is thinning the ozone layer and it does other stuff too.
Am from Kenya do they employ non us citizens to space x
а кто полетел ?
23 sick sad lights aka fallen angels
Shouldn't Elon focus on how to stop Wildfires in Texas, or is he not capable of such.
That's not what he strives to do. He wants to take these big steps for the people to colonize on Mars in the future. It's the fact he's doing great things for people that aren't even alive yet that may live on Mars, and the other fact that he is doing work, knowing he won't be alive to see the end result. He has the mindset to help all of humanity and put them on a good path, not just forests alone.
Sissy SpaceX
Are you challenging them for a fight or something?
Drive thru slow ?
How much did this cost us???
Zero. Genius.
Us who? This launched Elon’s Starlink satellites , I believe they pick up the tab for it since they benefit. It’s not a government launch
Taxpayers? Nothing. Focus on the enormous US military budget rather than stuff that benefits us.
Way less than NASA could get it done for
Nothing genius this is totally funded by Elon
1:38:05 Love the cover up of Russia on the world launch stats at the end there.. great to see is US propaganda putting Russia last and being covered by an image of the launch structure.. haha. Classic!
When SpaceShip Launching be IMPOSSIBLE,
when OXYGEN no longer be available??
English please
I'm not sure about the oxygen supply to the rocket, but I am sure that you need a leak check on that helium tank mounted between your ears where most of us have brains....😂😂😂😂
this isn’t the Lorax lmao
Sadly, I missed it - waiting for our check (from a late dinner after being at the beach all afternoon). Thank you, SFN crew - glad I can always come back and watch it, here. 🫶🏻
That was boring ,thank you

Is this a replay? For some reason my notifications are an hour delayed. Another app I have says this is in flight, launched at 9:40 eastern. I’m so confused 🫤
1:17:31 liftoff! It was a beaut! 20th flight for this Falcon 9 booster. The Merlin engines sound awesome 🚀
Not live.....launched earlier at 1:17:30 in this vid.........
if you are in the comments section, then it already happened
😂❤😊
Wow, I’m just not getting notifications + set 🔔
I heard the ROCKET 🚀, but had no idea it was scheduled again.
What’s going on???
I’ve reset etc etc, but still nothing!🫤
this was the live, but in already recorded format..otherwise the live chat would be available to participate in
