I really appreciate the fact you give out a gift to the crew on your flights! Respect goes a long way!
Yeah we do it for every long haul flight, although in Business Class. For this trip we brought one big checked luggage only with sweets for all the crews. The weight was almost 30kg ;-)
It's cool, umm, how did they allow the transport and giving of food items on an airplane?? (NZ strict on biosecurity.)
They ARE both so kind!!!
I think I might start doing this, but I want to find smaller items which can fit in a carry-on for that. What kind of things do crews like the most?
You are SO SO polite to the flight attendants...GREAT TO SEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
JAL Crew are amazing, even in economy. My last JAL flights were 20 years ago (4 long haul legs) and the crew were always around, if they were not working on meal service there was at least 1 crew member per section was seated in a jump seat to help passengers. AMAZING CREW!!!
Thank you for producing these English language trip reports. They are excellent!
Definitely first aviation TH-camr i know that give cabin crews gift 💝 that is awesome!
That’s soooo sweet how you have a gift to the crew. Love it! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Im japanese. You are soo cool because you present specialty for cabin crew. I wanna be a gentle guy like you.
Asian stewardesses are so polite and gracious. Very different from American stewardesses. Hopefully I'll travel first class someday
you guys are so gracious...and classy.... so low key and nicely done.
The Japan Airlines is the most Recent Airlines to travel.😍👍🤠🛫
Wow, great review, well done to you both. The personal crew gifts are a very classy touch, some of your peers should take note, it goes a long way for hard working FAs.
Especially Sam Chui. The way he flirts with crews and persistently takes their photos even when they protest (look at his Mahan Air review). It is appalling.
Such a great review and I'm also a cabin crew, I love that you gave the gifts to the crew. It means a lot to us. 😍
Thank you for all that you do
The one thing that i love is when you give the Gift for the Crew. It's very nice touch! Give them appreciated because they've been hard work for our comfortable. I use to be worked at the Airport and have many Cabin Crew friends from the Airlines i've ever handled and sometimes (If i have an extra money) i always give them a Gift to them as my Appreciate because i know their schedule was like and the flight schedule was. So, over all i love this one thing! Keep the content 😍❤
Giving that nice gifts to the crew members is a nice warm gesture! FA 's work hard enough from pre flight, to their post flight times! Great video, so decently dressed , and well spoken both of you.
That's a great gesture to give a local gift. I noticed it in your videos. And also a great way to ensure the best attention and service from the crew 👍
I LOVE your videos and the way you treat the crew! Please make more!!!!
You're really good at this
Love your travel reviews and reports. You are classy guys, and so nice in giving the crew a gift. Keep on flying the skies.
You brightened up my Sunday
Once again, beautifully delivered. Information is clear and concise. Thank you.
It's so relaxing watching these videos...
Super gemacht !!! Ich schau ja immer beide Berichte und geniesse das Erlebnis mit Dir / Euch zusammen !
Coole Geste mit den Geschenken für die Crew 😍
LG
It was clever to give your gift to the crew at the beginning! ;-) I had just watched your business Class flight on China Airlines, and although this First Class experience had more luxurious seating and perhaps a wider variety of food, in some ways it was hard to see the difference. I have never seen an airplane toilet with a bidet! You must really enjoy making these videos.
Your gift to the crew was a VERY nice touch !...well done !!
Brilliant review!
Japan Airlines’ First Class seats always come off as super luxurious to me for some reason. I guess it’s coz those seats just look sooo wide with their brown leather. Great video as always!
JAL is a pretty nice Airline!! Staff is a so kind , gentle.
Very sweet of you to give gifts to the FAs 😊
Great review guys keep the good work up ... 👍😀
Hi. The beans in the dessert are called Azuki. They are a red bean used in desserts boiled in sugar or eaten as a sweet paste. The white balls are probably mochi or pounded rice. Glad to see you enjoyed the flight. I worked for JAL many years ago and I'm so happy to see them return to the top level again where they deserve to be.
Was it hard working for a Japanese company?
TakeMeThere🛫 not at all. I grew up in Japan so know the culture well. Japanese passengers are a dream to deal with compared to some other nationalities. A big plus is their efficiency which made work easier (fewer delays and cancellations). JAL was the first airline with automated mag strip boarding cards and other innovations which made life easier then 😊
Ah ok! Growing up in Japan would have made you completely familiar with the culture and work ethics. I think it will be hard for anyone non-Japanese to fully understand and accept their way of life. Will be flying JAL again for the second time this September. Really looking forward to it.
Great review, have flown First from Haneda to Sapporo and that was unbelievable good. The crew are fantastic and so friendly.
Love the videos. Real class. Always looking forward to the next video!!!
that was so sweet that you brought the FAs some treats! They do so much and very much usually underappreciated!
Good job guys, very in depth review
Hi there
Ive just discovered your channel.
Well done. Now I have to watch more of your reviews.
Great stuff :-))
❤ I love your channel ❤ and your kindness to the cabin crew ❤
Some people are in a situation where they can enjoy life to the max. I've watched several of your videos and no matter the situation I still see happiness, love and kindness in such a genuine manner that despite I just ran across you both, I wish nothing but the very best, for only the very best will do! God bless, always❤
Welcome to Japan!
You are a great person
Such a nice gesture to give gifts to the crew. Also I love the tone of your voice, very pleasant to hear as you do you review. Subscribed!
Great review!
I was 😂😂 when you tried the wasabi, very funny. I love Japanese food and know how hot wasabi is. Looks like it was a great flight.
It was a wonderful flight. I really underestimated how hot fresh wasabi is. I just know the regular common wasabi in Germany, but never got so fresh and hot wasabi before. I tried it in Tokio, but it wasn't so hot ;-)
nice video
I love your personality !! Try ANA first class as well!!
Love you guys, Keep up the good work
Very imformative and good quality clip love watching your videos much love from South Africa
Love all your flight reviews
In Japanese...Totte mo omoshiroi deshita...Very interesting. The food looked sublime. The crew your your typical Japanese host.
Great footage I enjoyed the video alot.Thank you and "Happy Landings"
Very good video.
I love that you travel as a couple!!
good job! you guys really high light the right things.. small request but a close up on the food would be appreciated. :-). did you have to pay for the food in the lounge?
You make some of the best reviews of flights....I am fan and ur new subscriber....
love your reviews... xxx
Love it guys!
Love your flight reports and always look forward to them!
Did you get to try the heated eye mask that was included in the amenity kit? They're great!
Thank you but I didn't try it. But the amenity kit is still here, I can if I want ;-)
Love the idea of a gift to the crew 👌🏼
Your expression at 17:39 though....🤣🤣
superb. well done!
Great video
interesting your review is.
Great review, thank you.
I (always) fly JAL business class many times LAX-NRT-BKK
But I rather save many thousand dollars than flying first class
May be, I am cheap. :)
What I want to know is if the menu and wine is free or charged and what given items you can take with you out of the flight
I've seen two lists of Skytrax 5 star airlines. They were identical except the second list included Japan Air and Asiana.
Nice video! However, there should be more close-up shots of the menus and the food. I would have been nice to have seen more of this.
Oops! I stand corrected! I just seen some of those shots! 😀😀😀😀
Thank you! You see more photos on our German website: globaltraveler.tv/japan-airlines-first-class-777-300er-einfach-grandios-lax-nrt For some detail food pics of this flight :-)
OMG I laughed so hard when watching your facial expressions trying the Japanese food 😂. Better man than me because I don’t eat seafood period .
Always a welcome smile when it comes to watching your videos..Brilliantly filmed. If I may ask, what model camera do you use ?
Thank u! Yes, mine are recorded with a GoPro 6 Hero and wireless Lavaliermicrophone and some footage from Stefan with a Sony Alpha 6300.
Wonderful video! My wife and I always bring good chocolates for the crew. I noticed that they didn't offer Salon Champagne ($300+US) on your flight but they had very fine alternatives. Thank You!
This is a wonderful gesture from your wife and you! I think it's always nice to honor the hard and very good work, especially like this crew!
(waves) Hi, you two. I think the idea of giving the crew a gift (esp on a long flight) is really good, for First passengers. I like the traditional colour scheme in the suites. That view to the basement was a bit weird, though? What's that about?
Yeah, but I think on Emirates in their 777 it's quite similar. One bigger and one smaller one.
ありがとう
I think the flight attendant wanted to grab your hand lol
15:34 The way you say cucumbers xD It adds humour to your videos as well. I love it
Not enough privacy for my tastes. Great that you think of the crew as well.
Great video and very informative! I really enjoy your trip reports.
It looks like that you record quite bit of footage for one flight. I wonder if you need to unload footage from your memory during the flight. Is one SD card (128GB? 256GB?) enough for what you do?
Hey thank u! We use 128GB and some 64GB as well as a 2.5“ HDD with 5 and 4TB as Backup. Don’t use just one SD Card, if it fails all your footage is lost. We always safe everything on the 5TB and copy the files from the 5TB to the 4TB as backup. At home we copy everything to our 32TB Synology DiskStation. There are more backups.
Thanks for the reply. So basically you need to have a lot of memory for what you do. Is your 128GB enough for one flight? when do you transfer footage to the backup hard drive? before the flight? or after the flight? I would like to make videos like you in the future.
Basically 64 GB are enough, if you are talking longer then go for the 128 GB. We transfer our footage after the flight with this app: th-cam.com/video/-L_qSp9euo4/w-d-xo.html (Sorry, I speak German in my Main Channel)
This is very helpful! Thank you.
Im flying them next week, this is perfect timing!!!
Enjoy your flight on Japan Airlines! I hope it's Business or First Class?!
They didn't have a pre-arrival meal?
ロサンゼルスだとカンタスのラウンジを使うとは初めて知りました
My friends does that we always buy snacks for the flight crew and we end up getting good service even though we’re in economy class 😂😂😂
That's a good idea ;-)
Luxury Aviator first flight works best cuz flight crew is starting the day.
It's mother of pearl. Perlmutt...
Great video guys you must be millionaires????
Thank you, but we are just two normal guys with normal selfemployed jobs. There are some travel hacks and it's pretty easy. This flight and the upcoming Business Class flight for another 12 hours is just 70.000 miles. And about $45 Taxes, that's it :-)
How do you get so many miles do you travel allot for your job, you should go upper class one day with virgin Atlantic!!!!!!!!!
Well, there are many sources and way more possibilities in the U.S. for earning miles. It's quite harder in Germany to do this, because the credit card trick is harder here. Germany is a cash country or bank account card, called EC-Card. So we have to be very creative to earn miles. We describe it in German language in our new section "Travel Hacks" GlobalTraveler.TV/tricks - But sorry, only available in German. As you can hear and read, my English is way to basic for writing those things in English. We flew very cheap on Christmas with Emirates First Class to KL and earned 50.000 miles. Further transfer from our AMEX Platinum and Alaska Airlines ;-)
As always a great review. I understand that English is not your native language however can you please turn down the over enunciating
It's great JAL provide pajama for first class passengers.
Go to around 15:35 "Cucumbers" was wrongly pronounced as well.
BOSE not BOSEE :) lol (it was so cute to hear you pronounce it BOSEE)
Thanks!
Cristal costs a lot more than $140 in the US. Cheapest I have seen is $225 or so.
When are you going to start doing vlogs again
Great vid as usual. Do you guys travel for work and make these videos on the side or is this your work?
Thank you! This is part of one of our jobs. We have the main travel channel GlobalTraveler.TV/youtube and my main tech channel iDomiX.de ( th-cam.com/users/iDomiX ) and two more self-employed jobs.
So far I believe the best first class travel experiences/products are in the A380’s, without question. Even the old 747-400’s are better than the 777, in my opinion.
well the same applies to you dominik like my commet to stefan. first class travel of the highest Peak...and good that you introduced the caviar Service... You know I do not like Asian Food at all. So at least that part of the western menu….
You really looked nice in those Pyjamas.
Keep up with that Wonderful work..
Shine on
Claus
This guy looks like a tall MINI ME !
How do you afford to travel in first class so much?
JAL got 5 star in recent
it doesn't seem very private tbh
Lol, you pronounced the earphones "Bose" wrong. It should sound like "Rose" but with a "B."
Except that’s not true as the Indian name is indeed pronounced Bos-ah. And guess why that company is called Bose.
Don't correct him when it's so sweet the way he says it.
Try cathay pacific
I did, video is coming this week :-)
cant afford one😞😞😞
TOKIO
Do you have kids ?
boyfriends?
That's their first class? Compared to Emirates, Eitihad, Qatar Airways and Singapore airlines it's a snoozer. Unimpressive.
Presents for the crew??? For the price of your air ticket, the crew should give you presents!!!!!
You are so sweet.
its pronounced 'BOSE" and not "BOSEY"
