Yes. It usually takes a few hrs to thaw. I give it a shake and it's fine

fine, just leave it overnight in fridge
The biggest problem I see is plastic contamination

Thanks for the Video! Forgive me for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you researched - Diyhloern Phrenic Dominion (should be on google have a look)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for preparing you and your family for any crisis without the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate finally got great success with it.

Another good tip. Pour the milk out of that cheap plastic container and put it into a glass container with an airtight or vacuum seal. A glass container will keep the milk fresher and better tasting longer, as long as you remember to reseal the glass container properly amd refrigerate immediately after use.

One side-benefit of being Lactose intolerant is that milk lasts A LOT longer.

I don't think the milk will get spoiled because you hold the door open for 15 seconds several times a day.

The biggest problem with putting it in the back of the fridge. Is that milk in cartons you get in Supermarkets specially designed to be placed standing, once you lay them down. The pressure of the plastic cartons will force the milk to leak out of the top even if you put it on top. So unless you're willing to lose a shelf to put your milk in, this won't work.

I buy 3-litre plastic bottles of milk, it fits in the door shelf. It’s too tall for most of the shelves except one, which I need as much room as possible for food which will not fit in the door. Therefore I store the milk in the door shelf. There is no way it would get warm unless I leave the fridge door open for more than 5 minutes. And I use my nose to tell me if it’s still good, even after the use by date.

I've stored milk in the fridge door all my life. Never done any harm. It doesn't last that long to spoil anyway. It's the convenient place to put it. Storing milk on its side could cause it to leak and cause a right mess. No thank you. Now they've started designing fridges with the milk shelf halfway up the door to accommodate a larger fruit/veg tray on bottom. What a rubbish idea. Leave our milk door shelves alone!!

She's wrong! Leaving the refrigerator door open does NOT let the cold air out. Anyone who has studied such things knows that heat gets removed from the room and into the refrigerator....just like how an AC system works for a home or a vehicle. It removes heat.

    • @Ed-pd3wq
      @Ed-pd3wq 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Cold air can move out of the fridge. Just like it can be blown from an AC vent. The idea that cold can't move, heat does is correct but she is talking about cold air, air which has been chilled by conduction from the evaporator. Cold air is more dense than warm air so it will kind of collapse/fall out of the fridge when the door is opened and is replaced with warm air.

  • @ak1920

You want to keep it at a constant cold temperature as much as you can. Take it out use it then back in fridge right away. Don't leave it sitting on the table as you eat your cereal

This is wank what she is saying when you open the refrigerator door and the milk spoils. The milk has a thermal mass approx 1.0- 3.0 kg depending on the size you buy when stored on the lower shelf it will have attained the set temperature between 0°-3° Celsius it would take approx. 30 minutes to reach room temperature of 21° Celsius. .

I drink non fat milk and buy two gallons at a time even though I am the only one that drinks it. I freeze one gallon (in several smaller plastic bottles)but always have smaller bottle handy in the door. I almost never have to toss any...every now and then just a little at the end of the bottle but very seldom....btw virtually ALL our food waste except meat and citrus goes to a large colony of red wiggler worms....their poop "castings" is AWESOME fertilizer or key ingredient to our DIY potting soil. And THAT takes some of the sting out of food waste ...absolutely I DO NOT put in trash or down garbage disposal ...yes even when food goes moldy or bacteria fest in progress !....because the worms and microbes love it ALL! The mold just vanishes in the worm colony as does all the stinky bacteria. AND BTW IF I ever begin to run out of milk because of this pandemic? I always keep on hand dehrated/powdered milk which actually is quite fine taste wise! ...not quite as good as fresh but fully acceptable at least. Using all my milk is kind of a satisfying challenge something that helps keep my mind active even....its all good!

You've been storing milk wrong this entire time... Err yeah, it's Milk, from a COW! Cow's milk is to feed a baby cow!

Cow has 4 stomachs in which green grass is fermented. It turns green grass into amino acids and vitamins. That's why cow's milk is nutritious. Cat and dog don't have 4 stomachs. Also, cow eat green grass, potatoes, rices, wheat, which are all clean food. Cat and dog drink water in your toilet, eat rats and shit which are toxic. You can have tiger's milk if you can because tiger only eat clean food ie fresh new beef, deer, etc.
A lot of kids whose mothers don't have enough breast milk live on milk from another mothers. If any women by any chances give me their breast milk I would definitely say thanks.

@@hacgiaythiengia7516 Would you drink milk from a chimpanzee's seeing as that is the closet animal we are linked too? If so why don't we - and when I say we I mean humans, play the role of God(like we do with cow's) and breed many chimpanzee just to get milk?
Humans don't need animal protein, dairy products have links to cancer and bone definciy. 65% of humans are lactose intolerant and 70% to 100% of people from a East Asian Decent are intolerant. Just because you can't feel it doesn't mean it's screwing up your inside.
Let also talk about the environmental impact on milk production has on the planet.
And most importantly, a cow's milk is for her child. We take it away from them. There no reasons why humans need to have animal protein or products. We can all survive without it and make the planet a better and healthy place.
