"the recruiting took up too much time" bro what? The recruiting is the primary game mechanic that separates Madden from the NCAA games. Recruiting is arguably one of the most important features to establish the fantasy of interacting with the college football world
Recruiting is why I only bought NCAA Football for years instead of Madden. I love dynasty and franchise, but once you get your core guys in Madden, you have them for 10-15 seasons. NCAA Football games are fun because you're constantly having to recycle your roster and adjust your play style to the guys you have.
@@mmmmmduffbeer exactly. Plus the more indepth the recruiting system is the more invested you are in the players and then really interesting storylines can be created with those players. The recruiting truly is the backbone of the game in my opinion

I still haven't heard anything about off-season conditioning. In the older NCAA Football games on PS2, you had drills to improve a player's speed, agility, acceleration, awareness, etc. I know that was a big complaint when the game jumped onto PS3, how that part of the game disappeared. Did anyone see or hear anything about this?

If you're forced to play every snap and not just call plays like a coach I will not buy.
I don't care about editing the real players and understand some name combos will not be allowed aka Arch Manning, to make guys who opted out. But we can't create prospects for fake people?! For example, if I wanted to create myself and my high school football teammates and put us in the game, can't do it. Can't even edit CPU generated players. If confirmed true, that just killed the game. No editing rosters at all
Just create your players and add them to a team bro. We can’t create or edit the prospect pool but we can still create players that should suffice.

Get rid of the squiggly lines for the receiver routes from this game and Madden and replace it with the receiver running the wrong route. Or the quarterback trying to audible and lineman can’t communicate so the quarterback gets smoked or you can’t hear the cadence so you have false starts.
If you had never played a ncaa game before, I could see someone saying this was a good game, but even after all those years and hype and money, the game is a third of the old ones but atleast I can play ultimate team……. fucking joke

The thing I didn't like about Coaching Carousel was, as a head coach, not having a say in who was hired as my assistants.
Being anti EA and somewhat intelligent, after today's info drops, can't believe I'm stating the following: This game has a shot to unseat the great *NFL 2K.* While the gameplay may still end up arguably inferior, I'm referring to the overall package (ie college recruiting, 9th gen graphics, etc) For myself, the main remaining question is: What level will the presentation be (ie no ESPN license) ?

It sounds great, but the inability to create players that haven’t opted in seems like a bit of a red flag for me. You should be able to create anyone imho
That's literally the whole reason the game was taken away for years. Doesn't make sense for players to have the option to opt out then someone can create them/likeness and play with them just defeats the purpose so I'm sure that was done for that reason
@@Jscruggs5this wasn’t the reason the game was taken away. EA can’t make a game and put anyone in it without compensation. But you should be able toto edit a game you brought and do whatever to the rosters. Come on Arch Manning is in MMadden for download in create a draft not having this option is silly

Love the podcast first off...... This game is one of the reason i fell in love with college football and not just the Washington Huskies. And the hours over the years playing with friends and family talking junk, the ups and downs of a win or lost, and in the camaraderie with other game players...

Would love to hear about stadium renovations for Dynasty. Being able to upgrade a stadium would be a huge positive especially for lower programs. Hawaii's situation is downright awful so I hope we can just choose to play in Aloha Stadium or let us build a new one.
This would be dope. Unfortunately it’s never been in a college game before. It’s probably something we’ll have to keep putting on our wish list and hope somebody hears us
They spend a-lot of time building these stadiums, and having the traditions work a certain way, doubt thats something they even consider doing
I'd love this, even if the stadiums are just very generic, I'd be happy. I loved taking over a C-USA or Sunbelt team and turning them into a perennial powerhouse, but I'd only do it with teams that had an unreasonably large stadium to start with. If I've won 10 national championships in the last 15 years, I better have a stadium that holds more than 50,000 people.
@@Dimitri99 definitely. That’s why I said we’d have to keep asking for it and put it on a wish list cause I doubt they even thought of that. I never have until this comment. it’d be awesome to be able to build up a small schools stadium as you build up the program though. Some of these stadiums hold 10k ppl max and you’ve won 10 nattys

I think roster edits are still possible. To me it sounds like certain name combinations are blocked because the player opted out.
Did you see the head coaches in the game? I had heard they are not in which is very weird to me.
That’s something they want to do in the future from what I’ve seen. They would have to pay the coaches too & they want to see if the game will be successful enough to justify also paying coaches who are just there for looks.
