I struggle with patchouli also but I recently tried EBK Ruby n Vanilla Intense and loved it. I get the patchouli for sure, but for the first time ever I understand why people like the note.
Great video! How it shows that there are things we don’t tend to like but done right can be intoxicating. For me, it’s Leather. Has to be really smooth and mellow!
Daisy is so adorable! Would welcome her cameo in future videos! Regarding notes I generally despise: black currant (but I am addicted to Si Intense, hate all the other flankers tho), eastern ouds (but love western ouds like Initio OFG. Silky Woods. Scherzo, Oud Wood), milk (hate Cruz Del Sur but really like Commodity Milk Bold and Blanche Bête), and fig (hate Gris Charnel with a passion, but love Phlur Father Figure, Nishane Nefs and Le Labo Thé Noir). Patchouli has been growing on me over the past year and I'm constantly surprised by what I'm drawn to now.
I absolutely hate that pungent cannabis stench. And you're right, it is everywhere! And that is because it is being grown on literally every street... it just hangs in the air!
I literally just ordered Van Py Rhum, as a blind purchase (which I almost never do). Fingers crossed; your description made me even more excited to have it--and I like patchouli. Cherry Punk is my favorite cherry scent, as someone who likes leather, and I'm wearing BDK today. I loathe cannabis as a perfume note, but now I'm a bit intrigued. Mostly, this is a good reminder to try not to make assumptions before I've given a fragrance a chance. There are plenty of surprises out there!
Hi Gabby when all the internet was talking about Bianco latte you advise to check Celeste and I did and it's my favourite perfume at the moment I hate oud it's the only note that I really can't do but I love mula mula and Delina exclusif because you can't really smell it
I ❤ this video concept Gabby, and can't wait to try some of these perfumes..Does anyone know how to order Rosa door perfumes? They don't seem to have their own website, and the only place that seems to sell it online is Plethora, and they only ship to the UAE😭
I hate patchouli, chamomile, raspberry, barnyard oud, peach, any amount of lavander, cannabis, leather that isn’t soft/leans towards animalic more than luxury leather, gardenia, jasmine/tuberose/honey that leans too indolic, vetiver, musk that is too pronouced/not blended well enough to my nose, have a strong distaste for most oakmoss (tends to get too strong on my skin and turns the otherwise beautiful fragrance into a masculine leaning mess, more than hating the note itself since I can like it on others), salt notes, caramel notes I tend to dislike a lot as It pulls too synthetic to my nose even if rn I’m looking for ones that won’t do that but I’m still yet to find one, medicinal cherry, caviar, fig leaf, tobacco that is either way too pronounced or too sharp, not well blended or balanced out (I like some tobacco fragrances, but it has to be in that sweet spot for me to wear), and to me magnolia/peony tend to smell dated, so I’m wary whenever I see them in the scent profile… the list goes on haha
I have a problem with rose unless it's very well blended, not noticable in the background or done in a very specific way. And yes, geranium is the worst 🥲 Also, honey, soapy notes, cardamom and animalic notes 🤮
Fig infusion from Essential perfume is absolutely stunning 😊Gabby if you can try it and let us know what you think to my nose it’s a sweet creamy fig❤with Violet I have ex nilho sweet morphine and it’s so very sweet candy like it’s so very beautiful it just doesn’t have the best lasting power I so wish it projected more
@@xiaoyuxu7027 I don‘t. I stumbled accross this video and was curious if others also struggle with this note just as some of us do, and what to try where it is subdued well. For winter fragrances it is challenge to find something without vanilla.
No offense to anyone, but as someone who's been a collector for 30+ years, I will be so happy when this gourmand phase passes. I feel like it has dead-end so many noses against the beauty of a more complex scent. Yes, vanilla is nice, but I don't need or want 50 versions lol.
Love the concept of this video!!
Daisy is adorable! 🥰
❤️❤️

We hate and love the same identical notes in fragrances! I can do all blind buy with u and never mistake❤

Gaby, you have to try Cream and Raspberry 1973, to see if it really smells like a fruit cotton candy, I would like to know your opinion about it. ❤❤❤❤

I LOOOOVE CELESTE
Van py rhum ❤️❤️❤️
Hay Gabby! I also hate violet, cardamom, oud, lavender, iris, heliotrope, orris root and aldehydes🤢
You need to make more navitus collabs or you and paulina need your own line!! 😭 just sniffed baklava and cov queen, dead in love
Civet, castoreum, cannabis, violet, string patchouli and geranium (smells like raw carrots to me) are my strong dislikes
There is another way... I love, adore this note, but I HATE in this parfum... 😂
I hate vanilla, I only found one or two that I like among about 2-300 samples.
😂 So it’s very special that you follow Gabby. I think she is the vanilla queen.

Gabby my love haweryu

I hate patchouli, musk ,florals ,oud, sandelwood and anything ambery or animalic
I hate lavender, vetiver, patchouli, jasmine gardenia and rose and oud🤐🤮
@@ccc-qp7elright? Rose & Oud? 😭
@ccc-qp7el 🤣🤣🤣🤣rose and oud or rose oud patchouli....oh my God there are so many notes i hate... mostly florals ...
You knocked out half the note roster in one sentence. 😂 But I totally get it, I can't stand gardenia either. 🤢
I hate jasmin and oud
Geranium for me. 🤮
