If I got one I wouldn't wrap it. I would take it to the closest mud pit on day 1 and never wash it once and not care about the exterior at all other than keeping the windows clean for visibility. I also wouldn't worry about scraping tools and stuff against it or anything. For me, that's the beauty of the stainless steel. It's a tool, like a shovel or wheelbarrow or sledgehammer and I would treat it like one. If I wanted something that looked pretty all the time I could go and get any other mall queen pickup.
@@DanaBentz it shouldn't. Any rust seen so far has actually just been flecks of metal that have stuck to the steel and started rusting. My protective coating of mud and dirt would prevent that 😅😉
I just got my CyberBeast on Tuesday. All I can say is "Wow!" I think the word "truck" doesn't do it justice. It's an entirely new vehicle category. It's a supercar, a moon rover, a go kart, a jet, a spaceship, a tank, a roller coaster, and a truck - all wrapped up into one sleek, fast, bullet-proof, rust-resistant machine. It feels very safe at all speeds. It's an absolutely incredible piece of engineering. After waiting 4.5 years, I'm so happy and fortunate to finally own one. Did you get the AWD or the Beast?
I’m not wrapping mine. I’m in Dallas too, but I don’t look at people next to me, so I wouldn’t know if there are thumbs. I do however get a kick out of pulling up next to another Cybertruck. My wife absolutely loves it.
I've become increasingly partial to grey wraps on the Cybertruck. It allows you to maintain most of the vehicle's original look, while also addressing the fingerprint issue.
You didn’t mention two of the best features, the Steer By Wire, no steering linkage , all computer controlled, combined with Four Wheel Steering, makes the truck have a tighter turning radius, and makes the truck handle like a smaller vehicle. And I hear that that turning radius might get tighter with an update later..
That’s great feedback! I didn’t even know about steer by wire. I have never heard of that!!!!! that makes so much sense as to why the turning radius is so different!!!!!! 😊
Yep no steering column from the steering wheel to the tires and there is redundancy for each wheel so if they fail for any reason there are other motors that will take over.
I would not wrap it. I just got the new 2024 model 3. it has the same blinker set up. I like it. I had to take it in for maintenance and the loaner had stocks. it was odd using them again.
Agreed! black is so classy. the shiny multicolor wraps look soooooooo cool too but you’ll definitely stick out even more than you already do in this truck ! lol!!!
I for one love it, been a fan of Teslas since 2009, and been a Tesla Model 3 owner for 4 years, only Elon would have the audacity to manufacture something so different, and with the features it’s so foward that some people get it, but some people just can’t grasp something so different, especially a pickup truck. And I think it’s marketing genius by Elon and Tesla , it broke the internet back in 2019 with the reveal of the concept, and it has continuously had people talking about it and Tesla since, and more people, love it or hate it, will talk about it, take pictures or video, ask questions, or slam blast it. Either way , people are talking about it. All of them are rolling free advertisements for Tesla, especially with all of the celebrities rolling them. I would suggest people take the time to find out about why it is shaped like a trangle . They would understand it better. Me myself, I understand Elon Musk, so I understand the Cybertruck, in concept and production form.
Something I just discovered something that perhaps you didn't know. There is a button on the right side of the steering wheel which turns the front camera on. I use it to position in my garage every time I enter. As for wraps, it just one more thing to worry about plus I've heard that it hurts the resale value because we all have different tastes.
@@nadinevandentop7715 Nadine, so awesome to see you here! I miss all you guys. I know your son just recently had a birthday.... I have it on my calendar. I hope all of you are doing well
@@DanaBentz no worries, there are a few different Cybertruck options, it’s about the wheels that changes the range. All seasons gives 340 miles of range. The all terrains which comes standard is about 318 miles of range. The beast gets around 301ish due to the performance. I got the all seasons for the AWD truck for the extra range. Both are very quick, more then I would ever need 😂 Congrats!
@@DanaBentz Yep and the 2.6 seconds is for the 845hp Cyberbeast. The Cybertruck with 600hp does 0-60 in 4.2 seconds or thereabouts. Both have AWD and the CT only has two motors.
"I got a thumbs down from another driver, what's up with that?" All the people driving around you are scared to death, if you get into an accident you're much more likely to kill the people in the other car. That's why this truck is banned in Europe.
@@truhartwood3170 Its a perfect post. The OP expressed their opinion. I bought the Silverado EV RST after driving a CT from turro because I came to the same conclusion. I am happy now that I did not buy the CT.

I hate it haha. I’m stoked you have one tho! You should wrap it the same color scheme as the old Porsche 🐝. 😄
LOL hi Lance!!!!! omg great idea, yellow with black racing stripe 😂
Dont wrap it. Do gloss or matt PPF so you can still see the stainless... nobody ever wrapped their DeLorean.. 😢
so trueeeee 😝 clear wrap so that you can still go through the car wash
Great video Dana!!! Had no idea you were a youtuber!
thank you!!!!! haha I'm not really a youtuber, just like to make videos once in a while 😉
There is a video where they took one ( not wrapped) through a car wash , and it came out clean with no fingerprints.
that’s good to know i thought you couldn’t for some reason !!!!!!!
Wait until there are so many of them around that they're no longer unique, and THEN wrap it. It'll be like getting a whole new truck.
