Awesome talk... reminds me of when I was walking outside of town and suddenly I froze as it hit me - the most mundane, basic realization: "me", the person.. does not need to do a single thing to uphold reality. Everything just is. But somehow I have always had like a fear or tension that I somehow thought was important to maintain "my reality". Boy when that hit me, it hit hard. I froze and tears started welling in my eyes. My limited, humans eyes, operating within the infinite presence of reality.

I think I understand all of this but what I don’t get is that if the punchline is “Tony can’t grasp it, Tony can’t hold on to it, etc.” then what exactly is the purpose of something like this? What is the purpose of being a spiritual teacher or spiritual practitioner or doing any of it? Isn’t even the most barebones meditation practice just total bullshit then? If I can’t realize it, or stay in it, then how do I get there? And if there is no there to get to, or no me to go anywhere or stay anywhere, how do I realize that? How does the self illusion give way to the light of consciousness? Is it just aimless luck? Am I condemned to live in illusion and suffering until luck intercedes?

Thank you for being here. 🙏
Did you notice @5:40 Adya said "now while Tony's doing that, you and I are going to have another little discussion"? What he's pointing out is that we are not thought(s) or what we think we are. Now he's talking directly to what Tony truly is-awareness or consciousness...

I guess the purpose of all spiritual practice is to realise that "you" is an illusion. But until that's realised, there's going to be a "you" practicing and that's ok.
