i beg you!!! please, do the 10 years challenge for this incredible performance with all your experience for those past years!!! i think it will be beyond reality! ...like this post as hard as you can, so Kyle can see it as soon as possible...
After all these years I still search for you performing this piece every once and a while. Still an inspiration, still a great experience to listen to. Well done and I really hope this will be on youtube for a long time to come! Thank you ^^
Many people say Transformers is a bad film, but this genius music peace by Jablonsky alone worth more to me than dozens of muddy-music art-house films critics like so much.
I have never in my life heard one single person fill out the entire spectrum of sound so proficiently using a single instrument. It speaks volumes for the instrument, but leagues of greatness for the musician. This is hands down the best rendition of Arrival to Earth I have ever heard, and I do make a point out of searching for these things, and listening to all of them.
years ago, someone had copied this beautiful piece into a chinese web plateform, ever since i had found it, i have been traped by this, this piece of music is peaceful, but it also got a lot of strength and passion in it. i had listened it more than 100 times i think. chinese can't access to the foreign web freely so i had no idea that it is you that played it, and i also can see that you are very good-looking, you are an awesome guy.
Such an underrated movie and soundtrack. Watched it again after years and it has to be one of my favorites ever. Comedy, action, CGI, story, music. Perfect blend of all five. Fun arrangement to play, thank you Kyle.
DUDE! The amount of feeling when you play this is out of this world! This is, hands down, the best version of this song I've heard! Goosebumps! Very good!
0:50 - 1:14 I love that Ootimus piece you played. Would it hurt to one day even do your own version of the song "Optimus" in full? Because personally it is a beautiful piece and if there's anyone that can do it beautifully, I believe you are the one to do it. The rest of the song is absolutely mind blowing and just darn right amazing. Keep up the good work ☆
i love this even though i'd never in a million years be able to play it, but i prefer mark fowlers. A) i can play it B0 i can hear the actual song a bit better BUT this one is so much more technical and is more lively. :D LOVE EM BOTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lauren Hecox yeah so? I can't physically play this one, but i CAN play Mark's. put it this way I like Kyle's better to listen to. I like Mark's better to play. Okay?
Razer pls I didn't. I think it's humerous that he likes the less difficult one just because he's able to play it. I didn't say he shouldn't attempt to play. But good job reading bud.
How long one needs to practice, and - more importantly - *HOW* to practice, to play so well? I play piano since 3 years so far, but my skill is nothing when compared to this. So I guess I'm doing something wrong :P but what?...
Bon Bon You have to challenge yourself to learn new pieces, a little more difficult every time, but always learn good form, otherwise it'll be hard to correct mistakes later on. It takes time and patience. Just enjoy everything you play and you'll get there.
Pablo x That's exactly how I learn to play. I don't use sheet music, I always try to figure out the melody and all the chords from hearing, or find what just fits the harmony, or use the circle of fifth when I have the key signature figured out already. Then I learn to play songs which I like. And then I enjoy it. It is fun when it works. The problem is, I often know exactly how to play everything in sequence, but my hands don't follow it nicely. My fingers slip from the keys to play different, inharmonious tones, or I cannot remember fast enough which keys should I press. And then it is no longer fun. I have wasted a lot of time before I finally figured out the right way of learning how to play both hands. First I struggled for almost two years with my hands, because once I tried to focus on one hand, I was losing control over the other, and vice versa. The turning point was only when I slowed it down to one note per second, changing the position of both hands together as if they were a MIDI output instrument which can receive packets of commands, one at a time, but changing the setup of both hands at once. When I mastered the sequence, I could then speed it up more and more, until I could play it with original tempo. That's how I learned how to play my first two-handed song. With time, my hands learned how to automate how my left hand does to accompany the right hand. Therefore I can surely tell that it doesn't matter *how much* one practices. The more important is *how* one practices, and to do it *the right way*. Because if I knew the trick I used to learn playing both hands at once to begin with, I wouldn't need to *waste nearly 2 years on practicing the wrong way* :P Can you save me some more time and disclose me some more tricks which could help me in my exercises?
First, do you have a teacher, because it sounds like you learned piano by yourself. You actually don't really need the circle of fifths. Instead, for flat keys, just go foward one flat (Eflat= b e a because next flat after e is a). If your in a minor key, go to major to do this trick. Then for sharp keys,go to the last sharp, and go one semitone up (f c g, g# goes a semitone up to have A+). I can probably send you some more tricks if I know where you are at. So please tell me if you have a teacher, AND if you know harmony.
Austin Chuong No, I don't have any teacher. I usually learn everything by myself, or by observing people who already are masters of the trade. (That's how I've got here.) As to harmony, well, I study it a lot, from the early discoveries of Pythagoreans (mathematical ratios between lengths of the strings which make harmonious intervals, e.g. 1:2 = octave, 2:3 = perfect fifth, 3:4 = perfect fourth etc.), how they build chords, physics of sound & waves, normal modes of vibration in 1D, 2D, 3D etc., major & minor scales, dissonant tritones based on the square root of 2, I also use the geometric relations between scales & chords in the circle of fifth to find harmonious chords in each scale (though I still haven't figured out the *left side of the circle*). I suspect that there's still a lot of things I could learn about harmony, e.g. all those fancy chords, like sevenths, diminished & augmented ones, added ninths & 11ths etc. and what functions they perform in composition (so far I figured out that the sevenths are prettty much in the middle between major and minor scales' moods). Sure, I'd be glad to learn more tricks from you. Perhaps you can send me an e-mail at cloudsdale@go2.pl and we continue from there?
Official sheet music now available!!! mnot.es/2JZGwqh -- Lukas and I worked very hard on perfecting these sheets, so even if you have the free one that's been floating around, it might be worth checking this perfected one out!!!
Lisa F. Have you even ever bothered *searching* for a synthesia version of this? You know, using search machines such as Google? Did that thought ever cross your mind?
+His Noodly Appendage First you are very offensively. If you don't have to say something nice or helpful shut up. You act very snootily and like you would have more value. So I suggest that you learn how to be kind or you don't write any comments on TH-cam anymore.
Lisa F. _You're welcome._ Yeah, I act snootily towards people like you for a reason. Respect is earned. I'll answer to you kind and properly as soon as you stop being so incredibly lazy and ignorant. How hard could it possibly be for you to type a sentence into Google search? But hey, since you didn't ever bother to reply to the actual contents of my message, you don't seem to know what being grateful means either. _I_ suggest you look up the meaning of respect first before going on a tantrum about what I should and shouldn't say. Edit: I see you didn't even bother replying. Thought so. Next time around, don't be so ignorant and simply put a bit of effort into whatever you would like to know. Bitch.
Beside this epic video and performance , this video will always have a place in my heart as it is the one that made me find out about Kyle. An amazing artist who inspired over the years ( and still does) . Bless you Kyle ! Wish you all the best !!
