    I started out with the bigboy from wcw, it was good and I did add a remote on/off at one point which worked out great. These days I use the 20l seaflo backpack that's cheaper. Has a max flow rate of 2,6l/m , 70psi, sits nicely on my sack truck and is very light when empty, The battery is 12v 7ah is removable for charging as it comes with a charging dock but can also be charged when installed. Being only 20l I do have to take an extra 5l of water with me on some jobs. All in all its been a great purchase.

You should encourage anyone who is looking to buy this to start cleaning windows to get HogRed water containers because they are a lot easier to fill up the backpack. Hi Peter, how often do you have to change the resin filter? Like how many medium size houses would you clean before changing it?

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How often you change it has a few variables to it, how hard the water is and how often its used.
      For me I don't use it on every job so resin lasts me months and my water is around 38ppm.
      So really the first questions to ask is how hard is the water in your area and how often are you planning to use it? Every job? Only a few jobs a day?

  • @gas1958ify
    @gas1958ify 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Peter when cleaning facia's and soffit's,can you use ordinary water,or does it have to be pure water,and can you tell me ,what you used for pure water,before you got your van installation,thank you very much.

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I would just use regular water for fascia and soffit cleaning. Keep the pure for windows 😊👍🏻
      When I started with wfp, I made my pure water at home using the Unger hydro. Then filled x4 25L containers, and used the backpack on a trolly to pump the pure water up to the waterfed pole 👍🏻

    Hi Trad man! I've been doing some research into setting up a window cleaning business. So the pure water allows you do not have to worry about drying the windows as it doesn't streak or stain because the water is pure? I was thinking to start out a water feed pole system with maybe the bigboy 2 I have a van already so maybe some pre-made pure water? how much water would you use per house that had roughy 10 windows? I'm not sure if I'd want to hook up to someone's water supply as everyone is on meters nowadays just trying to work out how much water I'd need per day. Any other advice you have for someone starting out? I live in an area where a lot of new builds are popping up so hoping work would be a little easer to find. :)

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah working with a backpack is a great way to start!
      If your using wfp for everything your gonna need a lot of containers! I used 4 or 5 a day (25 L) but I still do a lot trad. So you would need around a dozen barrels roughly.

    • @johneturbo
      @johneturbo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TradMan Thanks Trad man. With the pure water do you add anything else into the mix or is just the pure water and a good brush all you need for windows? What wfp would be good to start out with I'd need to be able to reach 3 storys so I'm guessing at least 30ft? Also how many litres of pure water can the Unger Hydrow filter before it needs changing? I know different hard water areas effect that just after a rough idea with costs

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't need to put anything in pure water, its good to go 👍🏻
      Yeah around 30ft is a good all rounder.
      How much resin costs depend on a few factors so impossible to say really, depends how much you use it each week and how hard the water is as that can drastically change how much you spend.

      Hey buddy, for the wfp pure water cleaning I was using my van mounted facelift system. I use the backpack for chemicals only now.
      You could use the backpack for both but you would need to run the backpack for a minute or so to clear out the chemicals from the pump.
