Hey guys, thanks for the great vlog!! The drone shots at the abandoned hotel are amazing!! Nick, I'm glad you got the Mickey shirt, I purchased the same one months ago, and I thought Nick would really like this shirt! I'm also glad you guys finally gave Red Lobster a chance. Their biscuits always taste better at the restaurant than at home. Much love from Brittany, your Fort Lauderdale Lodger!!
I've documented that place multiple times inside. There used to be security there at that hotel. When I went the first time like 3 or 4 years ago had to dodge security to get inside to see the abandoned place. Great documentation and video as usual. Definitely people staying there now. That place is in such rough shape. There is even PlayStations in some of the rooms along with Game of Thrones pamphlets for HBO television. The collapse of the restaurant area was the downfall of this place. The convention center area was phenomenal to see in person.
@TheLodgeGuys I am definitely going to have to go back and have a look at the wash lines in the video. This was an interesting new spin on your vlogs. Just went back and wow! I can't believe I missed that. Definitely some people there, it's sad. I know I've seen several homeless people here in the past. In fact I was there a few weeks after the restaurant area roof collapsed there were people who parked with power tools literally pulling scrap metal from the air conditioner units that were on the roof. Also crazy to note during COVID a lot of the hotels down Internation drive closed and people actually moved into the abandoned hotels along there. Wouldn't be surprised if some made their way over to this location.
Absolutely loved watching your tour of the abandoned hotel. We have been 25 times and never knew anything about this. We love finding out about other non theme park things. Thank you 😊
Red Lobster looked great. The menu was amazing. ! I loved the abandoned hotel footage and history. Can't believe where it's situated, we stayed just up the 192 in Larsons Lodge, which has also gone. ❤
That hotel footage by drone was amazing well done Nick ..Its was also giving me horror netflix series vibes..And Red lobster 🦞 is yum had my first one in Toronto 2012 glad you're aboard that bus ...ps its lovely seeing Lucy and Ste in your vlogs ( i love them too ) ❤
Really enjoyed your video ☺️congratulations Nick for your skills with the drone very impressive honestly well done 👍 so interesting and well researched on the hotel honestly can’t praise this video enough btw think we might try Red Lobster in February when we’re there next like both of you it’s a place you see or drive past and never go in again a very enjoyable video 👍😊 x
The abandoned hotel reminds me of the abandoned US military base on the island of Adak, Alaska. In the mid 90s they just upped and left leaving absolutely everything. Its very earie to walk around seeing the abandoned houses, schools, Burger king and bowling alley. You almost feel like you are on a film set for an apocalypse style movie
In 1994 I had a friend who got me a job as a bellman at this hotel. It was so busy then, and as a 21 year old kid I would have days where I made 300 dollars in tips! It's crazy to see it like this now from remembering what it was!
What a fuuuuun day, that deserted hotel was eerie, I couldn’t help but imagine people bustling around there, swimming in the pool, laughing, enjoying themselves. I love, love love it when u drive around Celebrations, adore that place, had a ball with you both again me lovelies, love ya’s ❤❤
Hi guys. We saw this and drove by on our last trip. Fabulous footage. I love seeing things like this. Thank you and we will be trying Red lobster on our next visit xx
Evening guys, an amazing meal at red lobster looks really good. Not trying that restaurant. It's a shame about that hotel especially being so close to disney.great drone footage, hope you had a great day thanks for sharing 👍
The abandoned hotel was kind of creepy, and I think a drone was the best way to see it, because I would feel very uncomfortable walking around a place like that. It has been ages since I’ve been in a Red Lobster; I remember going to one where our waiter pretty much abandoned us, and we couldn’t get refills of tea or even our bill for the longest time.
Loved the footage of the abandoned hotel, its so creepy. You could see a line of washing drying hanging in one of the rooms. Looked like a film set of a zombie film. Prime land, I'm surprised its not been bought by Disney or Universal.
Oh yeah, that takes me back. What I order at Red Lobster is 2 starters, Lobster Flatbread and Crispy Dragon Shrimp ! Also there's a young lady who works there called Summer who likes Cadbury Flakes so next time you go take her some and tell her Shirley and Tony sent you.
I’m glad you enjoyed red lobster but the Columbia is an awesome restaurant you should consider in the future. It’s not really any more expensive than Red Lobster. The “1905” Salad is so good!
I think the building you thought was a bus stop was actually the centre where you picked up your villa keys. I’m sure we picked our keys up from there the first two times we went (2010 and 2012)
@@TheLodgeGuys Immersed in the oil of the garlic schrimp scampi a taste explosion in the mouth. It wasn't until October that we went to Red Lobster again four times. So good!!!!
Yay Red Lobster!! I've always loved it, now Cracker Barrel... i was late to the party for that and that bit at the back of world showcase, the Boardwalk never knew about that till my last trip!... theres always loads to see and do in Florida, just have to keep going back... foods just the best though 🍕🍨🍹
Sorry for the long post but the Drone footage was incredible and very immersive so well done on the insight you gave us into that spooky hotel. Adding the explanation really gave it awesome context. It's like looking through the keyhole into the past. Almsot like that film with Will Smith I am Legend (Without the zombies :) I went to Charlies Steak house in August by Icon Park and just ordered what I wanted for me and my friends - Only when I saw the 4 figure bll did I realise that it's a pricey place to eat 🤣 Luckily I was on a crypto budget so means I could be a little more spendy haha. Back to 2 for 1 in Harvester till August 2025 trip back over there with the family :) Loved the vlog as always lads. Awesome
Yeah. The area of the hotel is pretty rough. I stayed there in a cheap hotel on my own a few years ago. My Passport and all of my theme park tickets got stolen. Even the police told me it's not safe to stay here as a woman on my own. So I moved to I drive. It was a bloody nightmare. I needed to book a 3.000 Dollar Lufthansa Ticket because Norwegian refused to let me board the plane. Even after the TSA gave me the clearance. So stay away from the area. I will return as a Cast Member at Disney for the International Program in the German Pavillion in the end of February. So I will try to fill those nightmare Memoires with some good one!
I only buy sketchers since I had a lair for Orlando in 2014. 2 pairs for just over £70 is good value. Loved the abandoned hotel coverage. Cannot see anything other than a bulldozer for the current construction.
No doubts there are people living in lonely world. We stayed at the Delta in July and police were in there one evening and forensic trucks too but nothing was ever mentioned on the tv or in the press. Adam the woo took his drone over but the police wouldn’t let him anywhere near the buildings
On another trip, do try the Columbia restaurant. They are Spanish/Cuban, very good food. They are a bit expensive, but as you are both used to Disney prices, I doubt you’ll be shocked, and it is well worth it. They start you get a fresh hunk of Cuban bread from El Segundo Bakery in Tampa, locally known for great bread. Many great Cuban and Spanish dishes, wonderful 1905 salad (Leigh will like this).
I would say that the abandoned hotel would need knocking down & completely rebuilding? I expect it would cost a pretty penny too!!! It could be absolutely lovely & it’s very well situated too….. Great vlog 👍🏻 xx
I remember when that hotel was in operation. It was in a prime location right there on 192 and I4. Hopefully, someone does fox it up and reopen it. Oh, the Lodge looks spectacular as usual with the Christmas. decorations.
I love abandoned footage! If anyone wants more Disney history/ going through other abandoned projects Bright Sun Travels is a great yt channel and the proper people
I remember seeing that hotel in 1992 virgin used to sell it too I was at the days inn altamonte springs via air tours ! Lol 😅my boss was at the Hyatt !
Did you say Shock Top as the equivalent of Blue Moon? I'd like to try an alternative to Blue Moon. Have you tried Blue Moon Light? I've never seen it on draught but its available in cans from from Walmart/Target.
I am currently sat in hilton gatwick ready for my flight tomorow to stay at the delta and i honestly am looking forward to seeing this hotel from a distance 😂
Would love to have gone inside the abandoned hotel and had a look at all the rooms, I have a thing for abandoned buildings 😂. We have a Victorian mental asylum near us, often think it'd be nice to look around 😮
The abandoned hotel drone footage and voice over was a great addition to the vlog. More things like this in the future would be great. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!

Fantastic piloting skills, Nick 👌 I also love looking about abandoned places. Thanks for sharing 👍
You have had a great trip. It was fun to see all your friends, the great condo, and the chef!
Glad you enjoyed it!

The collapse of the restaurant area was the downfall of this place. The convention center area was phenomenal to see in person.
if you look closely you can see a washing line in one of the shots
@TheLodgeGuys I am definitely going to have to go back and have a look at the wash lines in the video. This was an interesting new spin on your vlogs. Just went back and wow! I can't believe I missed that. Definitely some people there, it's sad.

192 used to be a hopping place in its heyday.
@Bloodrocutioner where can I check out your videos of this old hotel
Amazing drone footage Nick!
👍👍❤️
Love the beard, Nick…it really suits you!!
👍
Loved the drone shots of the Hotel! ❤
Such an interesting vlog with the abandoned resort! We’ve always wondered about it each time we’ve passed it. Great bit of drone flying too!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Lovely filming with the drone, very atmospheric
Glad you enjoyed it
Absolutely loved watching your tour of the abandoned hotel. We have been 25 times and never knew anything about this. We love finding out about other non theme park things. Thank you 😊

Great flying . So sad but intriguing to see such a place abandoned. Love your vlogs. Keep it up
Glad you enjoyed
So sad to an abandoned site in such a prime place.
Great footage and commentary chaps.

Great vlog, really interesting it's so good seeing places other than the parks.
Glad you enjoyed

Would love to see that
Come visit Alaska and I’ll airline buddy pass you out there😀👍
I love your videos , but this has topped a lot of them with the visit to the abandoned hotel , brilliant ❤👌

We have driven past that abandoned complex for years thanks for scratching the information itch as we always wanted to know more.
Glad you enjoyed it

We thought red lobster had gone bust tbh
Super interesting vlog guys.
Love the drone exploration. Thanks, guys.
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome! Very cool.
Stayed in that abandoned hotel loads of times in fact our first visit with the kids on Tinkerbell’s first flight too xo
So sad it's gone to ruin

Omg awesome content about the abandoned hotel and your drone footage was majestic

Amazing drone work!
Wow Leighs a brilliant ventriloquist can't see his lips move when he makes nick talk lol 😂
Sad about the abandoned hotel - even sadder that the homeless people 😔

Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuits are like pringles, once you have one you cant stop!!!!
😂😂😂
They are so good

Loved seeing that old hotel ,we often drive past ,and it does fascinate me,thanks for doing that,I do agree I bet homeless stay there at night
I find old places like this terrifying. I don’t know why
It was very eerie 👻
We stayed here back in the 90s such a shame!

The drone over and inside the hotel was fascinating excellent views of it but how sad it looked 😢 hope the buyer does manage to rebulid it 😊
Hope so!
Love the beard!!
Drove past that this morning!! I looks terrible from the 192.
Needs doing up for sure could be a Great spot

Thanks for watching ❤️
i always park across the road in that overflow section near Fords...so I can visit Gap, North Face and UGG
Next trip, go to Manny’s Chop House on 192 for good steaks at a decent price.
I remember when that hotel was in operation. It was in a prime location right there on 192 and I4. Hopefully, someone does fox it up and reopen it. Oh, the Lodge looks spectacular as usual with the Christmas. decorations.
Such a shame the hotel had been left to go like that
@TheLodgeGuys I always wanted to stay there, but ended up staying with my cousins (more money to spend at Disney).
You look beyond fantastic with beard 🤩👍
Love the places where you go to eat. Better value out of the Disney bubble xxx
I love abandoned footage! If anyone wants more Disney history/ going through other abandoned projects Bright Sun Travels is a great yt channel and the proper people
👍
Weve eaten at the colmbia at celebration and it's not that pricey and still casual dress. Nice food. I would say similar pricing to chillies etc .
That's good to know. We need to try it
I remember seeing that hotel in 1992 virgin used to sell it too I was at the days inn altamonte springs via air tours ! Lol 😅my boss was at the Hyatt !

Another great vlog ,could you make the French toast at the lodge or as close to it, I can see how it's made thanks
I will try one day
I am currently sat in hilton gatwick ready for my flight tomorow to stay at the delta and i honestly am looking forward to seeing this hotel from a distance 😂
Hope you have a great trip ❤️
With the beard and mustache, Nick looks even more like Freddie Mercury.
Should have watched Adam the Woo exploring this hotel it was well creepy.
Would love to have gone inside the abandoned hotel and had a look at all the rooms, I have a thing for abandoned buildings 😂. We have a Victorian mental asylum near us, often think it'd be nice to look around 😮
Lol. Bet that would be spooky
They should really clean it up and build something amazing, maybe another budget friendly hotel for Disney customers 🤷♀️
I LOVE RED LOBSTER
Live in Colorado and love Red lobster.
My favourite restaurant red lobster
Why can’t Nick help cleanup the kitchen???? Lol
went here today and got chased out by homeless people
oh dear. We did wonder if there were a lot of homeless in there.
Lmao 😂 watch the road
👍
