Thanks Megan for the videos. My daughter is in her first season in 8th grade. I wasn't able to teach these fundamentals. We are behind but now she has a chance because the coaches now seem to focus on the kids that are already at this level and she is in the 7th game of season. She is getting frustrated with herself.
@@MegRemSoftball she’s 5’2” and almost 120 so that’s pretty close. She hasn’t developed her swing speed fully so I may go with that bat for this season and go bigger next season. She’s been watching your videos and doing the drills so it should be increasing.
These are my thoughts only you have way more experience than I. I feel that you need a strong back leg base as you push through you hips. I observe that as young batters move the back leg forward they never re-establish that strong back leg base and they lose a lot of power in their swing. Comments??
As long as they have a strong base and firm front side, I don't mind the leg coming forward. To be honest I don't see many young kids move the leg - it's more of the older crowd, as they know how to execute.
What are the dimensions of the wedge? I would like to build one for my softball team. Thanks for the videos; Ive been coaching for 20+ years and am always trying to stay current and your vids help!!
Thank you for showing multiple ways of doing this drill. Especially for those with a lesser budget.
You're very welcome!
Thank you for all your videos! It’s helped my wife and I develop my daughters game.
I’m gonna do softball next year and you’re gonna help me a lot with how you teach a lot of people how to hit the softballs so thank you very much
Good luck to you!! You’ve got this!
This is great Meg - really love how you break it down. Thanks.
Thank you!

That hit sounded loud 😮😮😮😮
Where can I get that board? Thanks
What size bat are you using? My daughter is similar in size and looking for bat recommendations. Thanks!
32/22. I used a 33/23 in college.
@@MegRemSoftball ok thanks! I had picked out a 31/21 and she liked the feel but I didn’t know if I was close to being right on the start size.
@@anthonygivens8571 It's definitely her preference! You don't want it too light though. I am 5'4" - 120ish pounds for reference

Anyone know where I can purchase a wedge like this?
Not sure, as this was homemade!

@@MegRemSoftball ROCK AND ROLL!!! Thanks Megan!!!
My best softball Lrdi Jaipur
On these hitting drills where should tee placement be? I feel out in front of you.. you agree ?
For down the middle, after your stride the tee should be about even with front foot
@@MegRemSoftball , how about your drill with the wedge , for load?? Where should tee be?? Thank you for your quick responses. Love your videos .
@@RYNOHORN17 Same thing as normal!
