This event teeters on the verge of weirdness from beginning to end. But the band shows itself to be wonderfully professional and pulls it off. Todd Burdick and Jason Lawrence aren't here, but Max Bien-Khan proves to be a fine upright bassist, capable of several styles and a skilled soloist. I had no idea. Everyone plays as if nothing at all is strange. The sound system is adequate (and suddenly comes fully alive at 26:30), and periodically the band emerges from the darkness of a narrow walkway and becomes visible for a time. Craig, Barnabus, Shaye, Robin, Max and Greg are all calm, focused and very musical. Here's another reason to love this band.
Absolutely wonderful. Superbly talented musicians. Many thanks for recording this under less than perfect circumstances. Bass is great addition to a great band.

They are named after a legendary New Orleans musician Tuba Fats.
