Really love hearing you speak about religion! Much love from a fellow middle eastern Christian!
Aww thank you so much, I appreciate it 🙏🏼💚☺️
Just finished praying Asr and saw that you uploaded! Hope you’re doing well Berna. Much love and respect. 💚
Aww lovely and thank you! Much love and God bless 🙏🏼💚🥹
As a Muslim from London, I love your content! ☺️
It's true with the first question. I am a Christian and I live in Pakistan, so it might be a shocker to people because Pakistan is a Muslim majority country
I'm so interested to hear more about what it's like to be Christian in an Arab society. ❤
@@FireflowerDancer Pakistan is not an Arab country
I really love what you said about being with someone who has another faith. It can be difficult if both are religious and I like that you didn’t gloss over this. Very good advice ❤
Your videos are long but i love listening to them when I get ready for work. It’s like a FaceTime. ❤
I'm about halfway through this video which just popped up in my recs, but I just wanted to say as a Lebanese-Canadian Muslim in my twenties trying to navigate my faith with my more progressive beliefs, I really appreciate your outlook on life, faith, and culture, it's so refreshing and authentic. God bless and hope you're having a wonderful week and year so far! ♥It's also my birthday today so maybe discovering your channel was a gift! :D
I absolutely love this girl- honestly your take on things are so beautiful idk I think it’s your voice I could listen to you talk all day!💕💕
Melkite Catholic Church represent! ✊🏽
tho the video is long but i really love listening to you talk❤️ sending you lots of love and positive energy🥰🥹
Sorry, I do talk a lot 😅 but thank you for watching. I’m glad you enjoy it. Much love 🙏🏼💚🥰
Omg I didn’t realise you’re Australian! I thought you were British 😂 love from the UK! ☺️❤️
@@jasmineflowers3583 that’s alright, I have a bit of an accent issue, casually referred to as a PTSD accent. So I appreciate I don’t sound typically Australian 😅. Much love 💚
I watch your channel not because we have the same name but because I married a Hindu for insights as to what my son's experience could be like being in a mixed culture/faith home .
Thanks for sharing all you do
That’s so sweet, thank you for watching! I hope I give you as much insight as is possible. Much love 🙏🏼💚☺️
❤❤❤❤ I havr missed your Q&A. Go ahead! Make them longer😄❤
Kindly, as a Christian, you are not supposed to marry outside of the faith. Ask whoever is your religious leader or look into the Bible in 2 Corinthians.
Growing up as an Episcpalian, I wore a veil, or a lace cap.
do you ever go (or have you ever been) to traditional non-translated melkite mass, as it is in the levant? also people probably ask you if you're orthodox because you mention you're arab christian and byzantine arabic orthodox chants are now really popular on social media. Also, yes we melkites split from our mother orthodox church, but the two churches (melkite catholic and antiochian orthodox are still very similar with identical byzantine-arabic hymns, although the orthodox mass is significantly longer). I would recommend you visit Zahle in Lebanon which is the only melkite majority city in the world - it will be a very interesting experience for you I think.
So happy I found you vlog🎉
Aww yay! Thank you so much 🙏🏼💚
*For the woman who asked about dating within another religion:* somewhat of a correction to what Berna said, 2 Corinthians 6:14-16 tells us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Your boyfriend may be a man of faith, but it is not the true faith of Christianity. If you are indeed a Christian, and you believe the Word of God is true, then you must also believe that God is perfect in His wisdom and only commands us these things for our GOOD & His glory. Unfortunately my sister you need to pray to God and ask Him to help you obey Him even when it’s painful 💔 praying for you!
18:10 I also want to add that you should talk about what faith you are going to raise your kids in, or how you are going raise them in both (if that is even possible to do being Christian and Muslim) because that can be a very difficult thing for kids to grapple with and understand. My parents are from different Christian denominations and their differences in faith has left me very confused as to what we believe as a family, and the fact that we go to a church from a denomination *NEITHER* of my parents are from, makes it *VERY* difficult to understand what we actually believe. So I would imagine its even more confusing if your parents are of entirely different faiths!!
God bless you and you’re family sister 🙏🏻
Greetings from an Hejabi Catholic friend 🧕🏻 from the Southwest Europe 🇪🇺 🇵🇹 to you, my sweet Berna 💙 💛
Hi Berna!! Just a question if you feel comfortable answering.. do you have any siblings? If yes, are you still in contact with them??
I wonder because you are also Irish if you are like the first irish christians .. in a way .. also did you know that in irish Jesus is Iosa. Like in Arabic. :)
Berna why has your accent gone from Irish to English? In any case, we your Muslim fans love you and invite you to Islam. God bless
I'm an Indian Christian and in our traditional churches women cover their heads, especially for communion. However, men do not, so I will fight the practice whenever I can. As you rightly point out, it's a cultural and not religious practice. Cultural practices are not necessarily good and many are quite patriarchal. It's up to us as Eastern Christians to also get rid of discriminatory practices within our churches.
So you cover your head for an hour a week and that is oppressive and super patriarchal?
It is from 1 Corinthians 11
@@princessaxis9966 Which says that it is optional and is up to the churches and individuals to decide whether or not they veil. If you feel that God is telling you to veil, and it is strengthening your faith.. then go for it! But it is not compulsory
@DontCareL0L Where does it say that it is optional? Btw, I was replying to the claim that it is cultural and not religious.
Yes lady, dive into your Bible! 🤍🤍 proverbs tells us over and over again that (biblical) knowledge & wisdom are to be sought after more than precious jewels! The Bible is the best way to learn more about your Lord & Savior and grow to love Him more. May the Holy Spirit have His way 🕊️🤍
