The thing I hope to see the most from the use of VR, is teaching EVERYONE about safety (weapon/tool/hazmat) while also removing the fear of an accident.
I think every studio should have an average guy on deck who they use as the “filter” for ideas. Every gaming service tracks playtime, so find the people with a lot of playtime in your genre/game/niche and ask them for their opinion. For them it is less analytical thinking, and more enjoyment seeking. “What would make this MORE fun?” Rather than, “What would make this LOOK fun?”

Take it up a notch and hire testers from the playtime, and you’d have dedicated testers who enjoy it.
