We intended to wear vestidas for the girls to project a dainty spirit of young girls from the countryside. In the same way, we thought that it would reflect the period (time) when this song "Maligayang Araw" of Mabuhay Singers gained its popularity in 1963. And primarily, this staging of the dance is a creative interpretation of the song while making use of basic folk dance steps (from Quezon dances) Maybe, in the future when we once more stage this dance in a setting that would require the use of traditional Filipino attire, we would be glad to make use of your suggestion.
